Systemworks was easy to install and went right to work doing its job in a seamless fashion. The default settings were pretty good I just had to tweak them a little to my liking. Overall an excellent product that was made superb by the deal I got on buy.com. They saved me $70 on the purchase.

What a surprise after 5 years of using this product (and upgrading every year) to find that the 2008 SystemWorks Premier is not compatible with previous versions (and some old features). It took hours and hours on line with a support technician (who actually took over my PC to fix the problem) to get the software installed and running. The basic package works well enough, but the installation trashed my copy of Norton Password and all my stored passwords. Norton has not responded to my request for a replacement password package.

I've been using NSW 2003 since, uh, 2003. I have tried previous versions since and discarded them, going back to 2003. This is the first upgrade that I have stuck with and am pleased with its performance and features. I had trouble uninstalling a previous Password feature of 2004, but the Norton uninstaller from their website cleaned up that. Thinking about upgrading 2003 on my other computers (especially since Symantec quit supporting 2003).

I have been using Systemworks since 2003 and this version is the first major improvement I've been able to notice. Menus are better and performance seems much improved over my last version which was 2006. Had to work a little more to get various pieces installed, which seemed unnecessary, but all ended well. So far very pleased with this upgrade.

I installed this on a Vista Ultimate 64-bit system and have had nothing but trouble. While browsing using Internet Explorer I have a message saying "autoprotect off - browing unsafe". At various times Norton says autoprotect is on...other times it is off. When it is off and I try to turn it on it runs "live update", tells me everything is up to date, and then doesn't turn autoprotect on. I receive error messages from Norton saying that it has encountered an error every time I reboot. I have followed the instructions from Norton on how to fix the error (which involves a couple of reboots) and the error is still there. I am just about ready to uninstall the whole mess and throw it out.
