Those who have had success in realizing their own vision have a duty to help others in their struggle to emerge. --Stanley Clarke Often times the one barrier impeding a young person from developing his/her craft is the opportunity to completely immerse themselves in their artistry. The Stanley Clarke Scholarship Fund was established to provide financial assistance to young musicians through scholarship awards to Musician's Institute in Hollywood, CA, where they are able to educate themselves, nurture their gifts and, in time, blaze new trails for the next generation. The endless study and dedication to one's instrument, and to music as a whole, result in the continued tradition of musical excellence throughout the world. The musicians that appear in this concert, now well known and established, were at some point, the beneficiary of an opportunity to play for somebody, somewhere. The Stanley Clarke Scholarship Fund proudly follows in that tradition. This concert from October, 2002, was the 3rd annual concert for The Scholarship Fund at the Musician's Institute.
