5 of 5 EXCELLENT PRODUCT, EXCELLENT PRICE Monday, April 13, 2009 Mike from Charlotte, NC
Worked great right out of the box. I have an addition to my house that is fed by a second circuit breaker box. It found the wiring in the addition without a problem. It is great to have a high speed jack wherever there is a plug without having to worry about signal problems from my wireless net, leechers, hackers, etc. Great for my xbox and less expensive than buying a wireless adaptor or putting in a jack in that room. Speed is a constant 100 mbps. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 As Advertised Saturday, March 07, 2009 Marcus from Fayetteville NC
Worked great right out of the box. Most of the time the indicator displays max speed about 20% of the time it falls off max. However, this has never seemed to cause any issues with anything I am doing, it always stays connected. I use it with my DirectTV DVR for "on demand" and streaming video/audio. Plenty of speed for all my needs. Does the trick and a lot simpler than running wires. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent Product Tuesday, March 03, 2009 A Customer from Windermere, FL
Bought this to connect to my D-Link Media Player. Even though the Dlink has wireless built in the signal would drop now and again and the picture would freeze. Since installing the XAVB101 kit we have not had even one issue. Getting 171mbps next to the media center and even 128mbps in the furthest point in the house. Units run cool.
Also really useful for moving into to temporary spots (PS/3 upgrades, etc) Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 worked right out of the box Saturday, February 07, 2009 A Customer from Denver, CO
Needed a way to connect a PS3 in our living room with a desktop computer in the bedroom. This did the task right out of the box, I didn't have to load or do anything except plug it in and connect the ethernet cables. Was concerned about short cable length (based on a prior reviewer) but the unit came with two 5-foot ethernet cables, which were plenty long enough for my setup. Heat doesn't seem to be a problem either, both units run cool to the touch. Finally an electronic product I didn't have to screw with to get working. Highly recommended. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great product if you don't like wireless Thursday, January 08, 2009 Kevin from Atlanta, GA
We got this for my son who is a big time gamer. He hated the wireless devise due to lag. This device works great with all of his online game systems. It sure beats the cable that hung out his window for weeks!!! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works as advertised Saturday, January 03, 2009 Den from Sacramento California
Works as advertised. I didn't notice any time lag while playing casual online games.
Just plug in to a wall socket (not power strip) and the cables that come with it are only 2 feet long so get longer ones if you need them. The price and solution is excellent for a hard wired secured connection.

5 of 5 Buy it! Monday, December 01, 2008 Cameron from Washington
This is a true plug & play. It works as advertized. There is very little if any lag. The throughput is over 100Mbp. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Easy and it works Monday, November 17, 2008 A Customer from NC
We purchased this adapter kit to be able to download DirecTV on Demand programs. We have it hooked through our D-link wireless router, which caused installation problems at first that no one could answer (same problems we had getting our Wii connected to the internet.) It turns out that in order to connect these devices to our wireless router, we need to turn off the security on the router, plug things in and set-up/test the connection, then turn the security feature back on. No one (tech supports or on-line forums) can tell you this as the first step to try. So we now have our Wii and our DirectTV on Demand working through our cable router!
By the way, we went with this model as it has a little more thru-put capability (200 mbps) than the other, less expensive model. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Awesome compared to wireless Saturday, October 11, 2008 Mike Weaver from Melbourne FL
I own 3 computers. I am a technician. I had 2 computers remotely located using a wireless link (802.11g) and both my wife and daughter would get slow connections with 1.5 MBPS downloads (MAX). This connection seemed good enough, however, they would intermittently get disconnected and I would have to play around with the wireless settings to get them back online. The Netgear Power AV has taken that away. I have a constant connection and both computers get between 4-6 MBPS download speed. My cable modem is a 7 MBPS download system so they are always connected with fast speeds. Thank goodness for these Power AV plugs!! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great for xbox LIVE Tuesday, September 23, 2008 Pete from harrisburg
I'm using this to connect my xbox 360 to LIVE. I have my 360 in the basement and my router is upstairs and it works perfect. Just connected one device into the router and the other into a wall outlet and into my system and then your connected to LIVE. (200mbps) Great speed and connection, I don't have to worry about getting disconnected ever! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works perfectly Thursday, September 11, 2008 A Customer from san francisco, ca
I have used several Powerline Networks and most of them are average at best. I had all but given up on the technology and then I read about the Homeplug AV standard, so I decided to give this a try. It works great. I'm pushing it with multiple media streams and a media center pc extender setup. Handles all of it no problem. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Couldn't ask for it to be any easier! Tuesday, July 29, 2008 A Customer from Hackensack, NJ
It took maybe a total of 10 minutes from opening the box until completing the setup. It works very consistently at rates much faster than my wireless connection would allow. I would recommend this to anyone as an alternative to a flaky wireless connection. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good units Saturday, July 26, 2008 William from Brighton, MI
1) plugged into wall and pc.
2) plugged 2nd unit into wall and hub.
3) Bingo, works as advertised.
I was getting 40mbps, so not doing HD here. But way fast for internet. I will buy a few more. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works but... Friday, July 25, 2008 Dan from St James, NY
works fine; setup is easy.
BUT...
1. runs real HOT, be careful in enclosed spaces or where you want to not heat your home.
2. Documentation for tweaking for straming video is confusing at best and tech support is friendly but not overly helpful at first level. Was this review helpful?
