5 of 5 Great Product Sunday, August 24, 2008 Jake M from Wenatchee, WA
I am highly pleased with this product. Not only was this the cheapest option I found (by a reputable company), it was really simple to setup. Netgear makes some good products that are professional looking and this one is no exception. The rebate option was really easy to use, and I just received an auto response in my email that my rebate is on its way to me. It has not skipped a beat on my home network yet and it has been running strong for three weeks. The performance is smooth, the ease of use is great (it is just a switch), the value is wonderful, and overall, I am very satisfied. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very Good Network Upgrade Thursday, November 29, 2007 IndyBob from Indianapolis, IN
I purchased the Netgear NETGEAR 8-Port Gigabit 10/100/1000 switch in order to get faster transfers on my network. To enable this, I also purchased the Netgear WNR854T Gigabit wireless (Pre-N) router. I not only saw the wired transfer speeds increase up to spec, but also the wireless speed and range increased dramatically. This wireless speed increase was to laptops with "G" cards installed. On the wired side, the quality of my two VOIP lines (Vonage) have improved significantly, also. I have been very pleased. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Netgear Gigabit Switch Excellent Monday, May 07, 2007 Omar from Seattle, WA
The Netgear gigabit switch installed perfectly with no problems at all. It establishes connections much faster than my old switch. Data transfer is faster as well. This was well worth upgrading to. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Nice, inexpensive gigabit switch Friday, December 22, 2006 A Customer from Chicago, IL
Compared to other inexpensive 5-port and 8-port gigabit ethernet switches out there, this one looks great, and has a small, light and energy-efficient switching-mode power supply (a nice touch). It is trivial to set up (it's an unmanaged switch... there's nothing to configure). It has legs that can be attached at either end, so you can have it standing on edge with the cables facing either way. It does NOT have mounting holes on the bottom, so it can not be attached to a surface with screws, like most other small switches, firewalls, modems etc. As for performance, it works great for me. 5 of 5 Plug and Go Friday, September 29, 2006 A Customer from NY
I've had this switch for about 2 weeks, and it works great. It is very easy to use. I just plugged from my router to this switch, and then plugged the rest of my networked devices(Harddrive, printer share, and 2 other computers). I also notice a significant increase in file transfer speed. Recommended! Was this review helpful?
