3 of 5 Stopped working Friday, March 28, 2008 A Customer from Hattiesburg, MS
I have had this mouse for less than a year and did not use it very frequently, so when I went to use it last month & found that it was not working I was very surprised & disappointed. I checked the batteries & updated drivers & still nothing.
Also, when I did use it I could not use my wireless internet card at the same time because it interfered with the signal & the mouse would go crazy. Overall, I would not recommend this mouse.

5 of 5 Perfect little mouse Saturday, January 19, 2008 santorellakl from Oak Ridge, NJ
Plug it in and use. It was easy as that. The price is right and the only thing I can say is how buy.com shipped it to me. It was Fed X'd and it required a signature for delivery. Not sure why this method of delivery was necessary?? It's a 26.00 dollar item and fed-x attempted to deliver it to me 3 times??? Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Not quite what I had expected Tuesday, December 11, 2007 Jack from Kew Gardens, NY
The maximum distance that this mouse can operate is only about 3 feet away from the USB adapter. I had bought it with the intention of using it as a remote control for my SlingPlayer running on a laptop that's connected to a big screen TV so I can remotely watch my Dish Network shows. But the short operating distance made it unusable from a sofa 10 feet away from the TV and laptop. Also, the lack of an on/off button made it inconvenient to use, because you would have to keep unplugging the USB adapter and place it under the mouse to turn it off when not in use. I would prefer to have a power switch on the mouse so I can leave the USB adapter plugged in all the time. The mouse speed is too fast compared to the laptop mousepad, and slowing it down would make the mousepad too slow. So when you're not using this mouse, you would have to readjust the speed for the mousepad, which is another inconvenience. The only good thing is that it's easy to use, and also my kids love it because it fits their small hands better than a regular size mouse. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Mouse for the PC too Wednesday, November 28, 2007 Ron from Salida, CO
I bought this for my desktop after using the same one on my wife's laptop. I was going through batteries like crazy on my Kingston, so went with this one. I've been using it for at least 2 months and still am on the original battery. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great mouse! Tuesday, November 27, 2007 Ree from Alabama
This is a great little mouse! The storage of the USB reciever in the base of the mouse ensures that you don't lose it. Nice size mouse, works great. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 great usb mouse for laptop Tuesday, September 25, 2007 A Customer from hilton head island sc
I used to carry a mouse that plugged into the back of my laptop but it was large and a pain to carry around. This usb wireless mouse is easy to carry around and works great. I am used to a wireless mouse with my desktop and this seemed even better and easier to use. smaller and more convenient. Was this review helpful?

2 of 5 "Squirrely Mouse" Tuesday, September 25, 2007 A Customer from Chattanooga, TN
As with most other wireless computer products I've tried ... this mouse also dissappoints. It is irratic and my attempts to make it work well (software settings) with my Dell Lattitude laptop failed ... so it now sits alone and I've gone back to using a USB (plug-in) infrared mouse (which works perfectly). Of course, it could be that it would work better with USB ver. 2.0 (my Dell laptop only has the original version of USB 1.0). Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great price when I bought it... Tuesday, September 25, 2007 A Customer from Thetford, VT

4 of 5 Optical Mouse - great value for the product Tuesday, September 25, 2007 A Customer from NY, NY
This optical mouse works very effectively with any laptop or desktop. I use it every day, and the battery life is spotty, but other than that, it works extraordinarily well. Ease of use is a 5 - plug in the USB adapter and you're ready to go. Like other mouses, it doesn't collect dust, but for some reason every once in a while, the adapter needs to be removed from your USB port and reinstalled, otherwise it freezes. A great value! 5 of 5 Great Experience Tuesday, September 25, 2007 A Customer from Cincinnati, OH
My order surprisingly came the very next day (went with free shipping). Everything works great as advertised. I bought 2 of these mice for two different computers and not a problem with either. Was this review helpful?

3 of 5 Not Satisfied Tuesday, August 14, 2007 Columbus from Amherst, NY
I bought this mouse a month ago and had to set it aside because it was simply not working. It was a transistion phase between MCE and Vista when i bought it. So, at first i thought that it was because of the OS compatibility problems that the mouse didnt work. but later i realized that there are some inhernet problems with this mouse. when i plug it into the USB of my laptop, it wroks for about 30 seconds(on both Media center and Vista). Then the mouse simply freezes. Couldnt identify what the problem was, even after i installed the latest microsoft intellimouse software. i tried this on a macbook also. the results were the same.Th problem is, i guess, the mouse draws more than allowed power from the usb so that the OS turns it off. Also the reciever also seems to be a little bulky, having swivel joints. this make it vulnerable to easy damages. The mouse freezing problem seems to be very common for this manufacturer as u can find related articles all over the internet, but not in Microsoft official websites!! Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Hate the scroll wheel Tuesday, August 14, 2007 A Customer from Boston, MA
The way the scroll wheel rolls is really clicky and icky.
The snap in receiver is a good touch, since it shuts the mouse down too.
And I knew it would be small, but I didn't know I'd dislike a small mouse this much.
I'd rather just have full size mouse that I like, it's not that much bigger. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great mouse. Tuesday, August 14, 2007 Wyatt from Delhi, Louisiana
Not sure why some gave it a 4 out of 5 and only had great things to say. This is a great mouse and the total lack of wires makes it invaluable. Easy dongle storage means even someone as forgetful as I am does not lose the dongle. To the reviewer that said his died, I have to ask, did you try new batteries? If so, refrain from throwing it and / or dropping it. My brother has the same mouse and loves his too. Travels everywhere and has had no problems. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Worked Great for Me Monday, June 18, 2007 A Customer from Dallas, TX
I didn't even need to play around with this mouse to get it to connect or anything...this was very plug and play and I love that the USB stick stores in the mouse and turns it off to conserve battery life. Was this review helpful?

This Microsoft wireless mouse is the best one I've used. It has a battery life of between 3-4 months of typical travel use. It's comfortable in the hand. The transmitter plugs into the base of the mouse, disabling the battery, so it cannot get lost. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Just what I needed Wednesday, January 24, 2007 A Customer from Chicago, IL
This wireless mouse is simple to use and just what I needed for use with my laptop. No installation necessary with Windows XP and is easy to plug into a USB port. I have had no problems with communication between the mouse and laptop. I recommend this product for someone looking for a simple option to the built in mouse on a laptop. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Very Pleased Monday, October 23, 2006 A Customer from Potomac, MD
I bought this for my laptop because I like a mouse better than the mouse pad. I just didn't like the wire. This is a great little product. I would recommend it. My only complaint is that it is a bit quick, even if you turn down the tracking speed. Just a little getting used to. I recommend it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Buy Wednesday, October 04, 2006 A Customer from Valhalla, NY
Great product at any price, I bought a logitec before seeing this one and it didn't even work. Buy.com sent me a mailing label to return so it didn't cost me a cent and ordered the MS which came in a day and it works great. I bought another one for my brother. Some reviews said it's too small but I don't get that. It's the same size as a regular mouse without the hasstle of wires. Same price too and the battery lasts forever. Go for it. This item is one of the most invaluable things I have bought in awhile. First and foremost the price was great. The ease of using the product is exceptional. You take it out of the box, plug in the USB, and THAT'S IT !! You have a fully functional mouse that is wireless, not too small (like some can be) and it's conveninent because the usb snaps on to the bottom.
This is a MUST HAVE for any laptop user who prefers the mouse capabilities. Was this review helpful?

the best think about this mouse is the easy of storage. and also for people who are messy. it has no wires and the USB adapter fits into the back of the mouse itself so hurray..
with XP there is no instalation, just put the batterie in and its good to go..over all i was very satisfied.. i am tempted to buy one more just in case they stop making it

5 of 5 Best wireless mouse I've ever used Friday, July 14, 2006 A Customer from Florence AL
I have the larger wireless keyboard/mouse combo for my desktop computer, and its not nearly as precise or easy to use as this little mouse. I have also used Logitech's full-sized wireless optical, just not impressed. The MS Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse's range is great, its battery life is amazing, and its just so easy to use. I recommend it to everyone. Was this review helpful?

Mouse works very good, setup takes seconds with XP. The range is good, I have not experienced any problems with placing this in my rear USB slots. My only complaint is that the scroll wheel is a little noisy, especially when scrolling up. The noise is not terrible but I would not use it in a meeting where absolute silence is appreciated. For under $15 with free shipping this is a great product. I am very happy with it. I was able to plug-in and start using it as soon as i took it out from the box. This is slightly smaller than the regular size mouse. Not as small as other mini notebook mouses available in the market though. Like the feature that notebook USB receiver gets hooked-up to the bottom of the mouse. Was this review helpful?

This mouse is seriously amazing! I haven't had to replace the singular (only uses 1-one AA battery) in over 3 months of heavy and daily use. The best part is the fact that the USB wireless hub snaps neatly in place in the bottom of the mouse itself. I am very happy with this product and recommend it to all of my friends and colleagues. Seriously!

I've bought three of these mice in the past, one for myself, then two as gifts. All three eventually died - my best guess (from tearing apart the carcass) is inadequate ESD protection.
After looking around at alternatives, no other wireless notebook mouse comes close in all other respects, so I'm giving uSoft another go. Wish me luck. (I'm buying two; if the first one dies, I'm going to beef up the ESD protection on the second before using it.) Was this review helpful?

I tried two other wireless mouses (Targus Optical and Kensington PocketMouse) and was very disappointed with both. Both Targus and Kensington will only work on white or light colored surfaces and they both have a very short range. Not to practical for people who want to use their laptops while traveling. I then purchased the Microsoft Wireless Notebook mouse and am very pleased with it. It has a much better range, will work on any surface, is easier to hold in your hand, is better made and to top it off is lower cost. I thought because the Kensington was the highest cost it would be better made and work the best, boy was I wrong. In my opinion the Microsoft Wireless Notebook is a great laptop mouse and has the best performance and price. Was this review helpful?
