Microsoft Messenger Laptop Bag - Impact up to 17" screens -

I purchased it 3 months back. Initially was concerned about the plastic hooks but since then I am storing my laptop, battery , lunch box, file and lot other stuffs in it. Has a separate space for laptop, keyboard and battery. Additionally 3 other zipped comaprtments and place for pen, cd/dvd and lot more. I will say excellent product... Will buy it again if needed

This product is the best fit for my Gateway P-6822 with all accessories, including memory devices, CD's, etc. The look is something special for itself. It looks very professional from the exterior, and the inside has a light color so I can find everything easily.

Hi Guys this is a great bag.i purchased last week.This is little bit heavy but awesome bag.it has lots of space.Its a business oriented bag. overall good nothing more than that.Th shipping is quick u can expect it with in 2-3 buisness days.

I ordered this bag 2 days ago and it was at my door step today. The bag is very compact and yet very spacious to accommodate all my items. The bag has nice padding to protect the laptop from dings and what not.. Good Product for the Price.

Not a bad messenger bag all for the price. It is not as stable as I had hoped. When I have my 17" HP stored in the bag, it tends to fall over, so I have to turn it a certain way and set it against the wall. Other than that, it has plenty of storage and expands to easily accomodate a full size keyboard mouse as well as an external harddrive with a power adapter and a smaller USB powered external drive.

I bought this for my 11 year old Grandson as a birthday present, and he couldn't wait to load it up in all the compartments. It is well padded and is ideal for Air travel security and it says "Microsoft".

Nice bag, great price. $19.99 after rebate is excellent. Also, this bag is everything it says it is. Plenty of room for extras and fits my 17" laptop like a glove. Delivery was exceptional. Ordered Monday, was at door on Wednesday and I didn't pay for faster delivery. Buy.com comes through again.

Got this for my Lenovo Y710. It's a tight fit, and I have to take even the nano usb reciever to get it to slide in, but it gets the job done. Plenty of storage for other items, even another netbook in its padded sleeve.

This M/S Messenger bag is 1/3 to 1/2 of the cost of similar bags in local retails stores who consider bags as "extra profict" items. Has many compartments to cary the wireless mouse, the power charger, and assorted clutter and papers if required. The orange color inside makes it easy to find anything when the lighting is not bright (such as early in the morning when leaving for a work assignment) I got it when there was a price drop and free freight to me as a savvy shopper: will cost me 19.99 AR of $10

I had gotten this bag for my mom for Christmas to put her 15" laptop in. I couldn't beat the price at $20 after a $10 rebate and was very happy when I received it. It has TONS of storage and could easily store all her laptop accessories, mouse, mouse pad, power adapter etc... I liked the resizable padded laptop carrying section and the strap that keeps the laptop secure in the bag. This bag also feels very sturdy and is nicely made. I would definitely buy one again.

I bought this bag to replace one that was supposedly able to accomodate a 17" laptop (it lied). This works great for the 17". LOTS or storage space. I usually carry a small laser mouse, keyboard, some blank CD's and DVD's, an external HDD drive (with it's own power supply) and my Zune and they all fit in this bag nicely. Moreover, 19.99 (after the rebate) vs $40+ for a 17" laptop bag elsewhere, this was a GREAT deal.

This is a great bag for the money. I have a 16" laptop that fits very well. There is a removable padded section to change the size of the laptop cavity. The shoulder strap does have swivels. While the interior is orange it is a light shade and contrasts well with items you normally carry in this type of bag so you can find them easier. Even the zipper tabs have a quality feel to them. The designer tried to account and create a spot for flash drives to CD's.

I've had 5 or 6 laptop bags over the years and this is one of the best. Good padding on laptop section, more storage than I had thought when I first looked at it, lots of compartments, light weight, well built, love the outside pockets (can unzip to accomodate a small drink), the strap is also comfortable and doesn't slip as much as others when I'm walking thru airports, rubberized "track" on bottom is a nice touch as well. All-in-all, one of my favorites (only Eagle Creek Portable Office was better, but it was $300 and larger). The only drawback I see is that it doesn't provide a slip-thru sleeve for keeping it secure on the extendable handle of a roller bag (but I've found a bungee workaround that seems to work OK).

I viewed this item several times before making the purchase. It was one of the nicest I'd seen online [for the price] that will hold a 17 laptop. I decided to buy when I learned of a $15 rebate. The bag is a good buy for the price as laptop bags can be VERY pricey. The front inside pocket tore (bottom seam ripped) on first use -- but no big deal; there is still plenty of storage.

When I first saw my new messenger bag I was pleased to see that it wasn't too "girly". Some of these things look like a murse, and I'm NOT a metrosexual. I needed functionality and good storage & protection out of my laptop carrier, and I got exactly that in this item. I LOVE the Orange liners (they say that it's used to make smaller items easier to see.) I own a Gateway P-6831FX laptop and it has orange accents as well! I'm a huge a Flyers fan, so the orange and black materials are a Bonus! For the price I paid ($20 after rebates), I'm 100% pleased! Heck, I would have paid alot more for this bag, but don't tell Amazon *wink*.

Don't be fooled, there's tons of room in this puppy. It was built with expansion in mind. Organization is good. Carry's nice. Well built. Built in USA, not China. Just do it. Quit looking. This is it.

I purchased this mainly because there was a $20 rebate. The interior is orange, which doesn't bother me, but some of you fashion conscious people might find it a little overbearing. It is a nicely designed case, has lots of storage pockets and a few different zippered openings. It seems to be built tough, with ballistic nylon and a nice handle. It does hold my Dell 1720 laptop, which has a 17" screen, but just barely. You have to work it in and out as the width is just a hair narrow for such a big laptop. For people with a smaller size computer there is a foam strip that reduces the pocket size so your laptop won't slide around. I don't travel much with it, but I think it would be a good case for on the road, and with use the pocket will probably stretch out a little to make it easier for getting the computer in and out. I've only had it for a few weeks so haven't really broken it in yet. It is a messenger bag style, so it doesn't have quite as much space as a standard bag might, but it should do for someone that doesn't need tons of accessories or documents with them at all times. The one thing that would make this bag better would be swivels on the shoulder strap, but if it is a big enough annoyance you could use a strap for an old bag or buy one fairly cheap. The clips that attach the strap to the bag are nice and heavy duty though, I don't see them ever coming undone or unhooked.

Very nice product, quality material and workmanship. Plenty of supplimental storage which allows me to replace my briefcase too. As another reviewer said, the name "Microsoft" is everywhere. BUT, the biggest, brightest orange one on the front face can be easily (but carefully) removed with a razor knife. ;-)

I bought this bag a week ago and I am pleased with but there are somethings I don't like. If all you want to do is carry your laptop in this bag then it is perfect, however if want to carry a book or two look else where.

I just got this laptop bag several weeks ago and it has already proved to be very useful. I really like all the different pockets and it fits my 14" laptop really well along with a ton of other things such as note books, CDs, pencils, USB cables, etc. I also really like the handle and shoulder strap because, unlike my previous laptop bag, they are very comfortable. The style and color are another bonus.

The Microsoft Messenger bag has *tons* of space: I use a 17" laptop and it fits perfectly inside the 1/4" padded compartment. In addition to my machine, the bag can easily accommodate an A/C power cable, full size mouse, plenty of paper files and/or folders, a USB thumb drive, and of course, a smartphone! The one caveat this bag brings is that it can be a tad hard to manage at the best of times. The shoulder strap, while comfortable, does not include swivels. This, in turn, requires a few extra seconds every time you shoulder the bag to make sure the strap isn't twisted. Another thing to bear in mind is the smartphone holster: while conveniently located on the side of the bag, it's a little difficult to open in a pinch. Larger smartphones such as a Blackberry, Moto Q, or Samsung BlackJack, are tough to extricate with one hand. If you're going to for sheer space and durability, this bag can't be beat, but proceed with caution if you're planning on fielding calls from clients while biking to work.

Did not know that finding a bag for a 17 inch laptop was 3 strike operation but on my 3rd try this messenger bag feels like a home run, room for office gear & supplies as well as the acer notebook.

I needed a bag to carry my new laptop for personal computing, but hadn't really considered the impact of buying a 17inch model. Also, I needed to fit a 14" laptop for work in the same bag, as well as double the power cords, my phone, charger, pens, highlighters, file folders and a couple CD-ROM. It all fits neatly! The strap curves toward your shoulder so the bag stays on without slipping. The interior accent color of orange is actually very useful for finding pens or something else that slips to the bottom of the bag. It was a great deal and has held up well through regular and rough use.

This is a great bag; it has compartments for everything a mobile IT professional needs/wants: discs, usb jump drives, smartphone, various cables. Additionally, it can hold up to a 17" screen, which is great if you have a desktop replacement laptop and are continually frustrated by awesome bags/suitcases that only accomodate up to a 15.4" screen. My only complaint is that the shoulder strap connectors do not swivel. That can be a pain if you need to throw it over your shoulder in a hurry. Other than that, this is my favorite bag so far.

The bag is made of quality material and has a lot of pockets to store little items. It holds a 17" laptop with ease and it has a nice elastic strap to secure it. It is light weight but well sewn and strong. However, the case itself does not expand wide enough to hold but one or two thin letter size files. The rebate made this purchase worth the cost as a carry case for a 17" laptop.

Hi all....Just few days back I bought this Microsoft Messenger Laptop Bag....When I bought this item there was no other review available for this product...So I had a bit hesitation....Now I would say...its coollllllllll.....I can assure u that u would just like it...its nice....the bag is padded inside..Your laptop will be totally safe...It has many other features too...the outlook is just sexy....dude u gt to try it!!!!!!!!!!!!

My favorite thing about this bag, so far is how light it is. I had a Targus bag before that is comparable in size, but it felt about twice as heavy on the shoulder. I am able to fit my 17" notebook and plenty of accessories in this without even having to expand the buckle that keeps it closed. My two minor complaints about the bag are both related to the strap. I wish the strap was a bit longer to make it more comfortable when carried across the shoulder. The strap, at it's longest is about 48 inches and the padding doesn't move since it is sewn in place. Also, the strap has a slight squeak when moving. One last thing to note is this has Microsoft written ALL OVER IT, literally. The logo is on the pad, the zippers, the handle, and the small orange tag you can see in the picture. It doesn't bother me at all but MS-haters might want to consider that.

This is a great laptop bag with all the right padding and many accessory pockets. Despite it capacity for a 17" laptop, its not bulky and its very lightweight by itself. I would recommend it for any laptop or messenger. The only drawback I have, is that it is a little cumbersome to latch the bag with one hand, due to where the latching device is located.

Needed an all purpose case (sometimes for a laptop and other times for misc stuff). This case is a perfect size, has a clean business look, and appears to be very well made. Lots of different size storage pockets. Very satisfied with the product, the price, and Buy.com service.
