This camera worked great right out of the box, but so far ONLY with Microsoft MSN Messenger, not (so far) with Trillian, Yahoo IM or AIM. Still working with it. Good photo quality, easy to focus and fine tune. Just wish it wasn't limited to MSN Messenger only.

The quality of video and sound is good, especially for the price. The problem is that it's Microsoft and it's optimized for Microsoft Live, which I don't use. Great for Skype, though. Face tracking? whatever. Was this review helpful?

I bought this camera for submissions to youtube. I soon learned that recording using the software that came with the camera produced videos with the sound out of synch. Microsoft, who are a software company, has produced video software that is nearly useless. I'm shocked. Oddly enough, the camera works well with Microsoft Movie Maker, which comes free with windows. My advice: buy the camera for the price and don't bother with the software that comes with it. Was this review helpful?

This webcam served its purpose. It was fairly easy to install and fairly easy for my mother to use. Face tracking can get a bit out of hand if there is more than one person in the room, but overall, it is a good cam for the price. Was this review helpful?

This is the first webcam I purchased and I encountered numerous problems. When I first use it, I can't hear my friend's voice on the other end. She had to do PC to PC talk before we could hear and see each other. Then there is a very loud echoing sound, we could both hear it. We thought that it's a problem with MSN messenger, but using Yahoo messenger has the same problem. Search the web for similar problems, you'll find a lot of complaints on this webcam. A lot of people say that it doesn't work well with Windows Vista. Was this review helpful?

Definately better than the snipa model I got before. While it doesn't have a light to it, you can adjust it to adjust to darkness in the room.... so long as there's some form of light in the room anyway. Not to mention... THE MICROPHONE BUILT IN ACTUALLY WORKS! HURRAH!Buy name-brand when it comes to this, because it always works. And there's different graphics like flying kites, snow, and UFOs you can take video of yourself with. Worth the investment. Was this review helpful?

The first camera I bought from best buy(first mistake) cost $20 more and was a peice of crap. This camera is excellent for what I needed and was shipped to me in 3 days. The clarity is not great, but for the price you can't beat it. It picks up sound really well and is easy to position. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for one. Was this review helpful?
