Microsoft Arc Laser Mouse - Black

I bought this mouse when I got a new laptop with a poor internal mouse. This microsoft mouse is fantastic. I have not had any problems. I had to change the batteries for the first time in 4 months of use. The mouse is surprising comfortable, and yet the folding allows it to compact down for travel. The receiver is also really tiny, and there's no worry about it falling out. This is by far the best mobile mouse I've ever used.

I just received the package today and i have been using the mouse all the afternoon. First things first, i remember reading that the mouse seemed flimsy, it is NOT. for a mouse that folds over the design is sturdy. the material used do make the mouse is like a compound or plastic and hardrubber so it feels a little awkward at first but soon adapts to it. the Usb dongle is just about the size of my thumb Nail and it dosent really protrude out of your usb port. I didnt have to install any software to use the mousse. when i plugged it in it recognized is immediately and the side button key was assigned to backwards when viewing web pages. There are a couple of design flaws. though the mouse folds it can not be used as a mini mouse in the folded state. The biggest flaw would be the fact that the side button is not at a comfortable location. it is a bit higher than where you would find your thumb resting on the mouse. other than that this is a great buy at its current price and its new sleek design that is sure to catch peoples attention.

The side button does not work on my mac, even with the driver installed. In addition, the side button is not comfortable to use and difficult to reach by the thumb.

The arc mouse great comfortable in the hand and has great response. The best thing is that when not in use, you simply fold the mouse closed and the power is off. No storing a large usb plug in. The usb plug on this mouse is very small and can stay in the laptop. Great price on Buy.com I bought a second one the day after the first one was delivered. I am going to get some for gifts.

I bought this out of curosity more than anything else and to my delight it turns out to be the best travel mouse i have ever used. I am on Vista Enterprise with a Dell Lattiude D820 and i travel for business lots. This little gadget fits beautifully in my breifcase and it performs like a full size mouse. AND it looks so cool that people are always asking me where i got it!!

After about 45 days, the scroll wheel stopped working completely. If you check on other online sites you'll see the same notice. Hopefully Microsoft will correct this -- the mouse is an exceptionally innovative design. Now, it doesn't work at all.

I'm a Logitech guy, probably always will be but there has always something nice about the Microsoft mouse click feel that Logitech can't quite get. But I didn't even know the Arc Mouse was coming out, saw it at a store, impulse buy and overall--very pleased. The wheel doesn't support left and right but I have never liked that. The 3D Flip feature is all I need. Excellent look and (I saw one guy said his finger tips touch the desk???What???) the size and feel is really really smooth. I am really sold on this. Shoot, I may buy another one. (The Red has a slick plastic look where the black one has a texture that I'm concerned will attract dust and cookie crumbs). One final benefit -- it folds to a small size. Nice job.
