Memorex DVD-R's are a joke. So far, of a spindle of 100 Memorex DVD-R's, I've had 8 unrecordable discs out of 30. The ones that work are suspect as I can hear my burners hesitate and change speed while trying to burn these stinkers, which I don't hear with any other brand. Even worse, the discs easily de-laminate and break easier than any I've ever seen.
I've bought over 650 DVD-R and DVD-RW from TDK, Verbatim, and Office Depot and never had ANY bad ones! The Memeorex DVD-R's are a joke.
The only way to stop this is never to buy them!!! If you have to use them, you better have a backup - I wouldn't trust them for archives when you can't record so many of them in the first place... Was this review helpful?

This media is totally useless. I bought 5 of the 50 disc spindles and WELL over half of them fail to burn properly. I actually thought my DVD writers were defective till I tried these discs in another computer and got the same results. I've used Memorex before and had no problems but I'll never buy them again. Save your money, time and nerves and buy a different brand. Was this review helpful?

Great deal, and they work perfectly as a backup medium. Platform compatible between several SONY, LiteOn and Yamaha DVD drives that I use. I will buy them again when the price is right (<$30 for the 100 DVD spindle). Was this review helpful?

My 100-pack spindle arrived so fast, I was absolutely amazed! Memorex DVD's are excellent in quality, and at the price that I paid, are an great value. I see no appreciable difference in quality between Memorex and Sony DVD, and will use either when the price is right. Feel comfortable buying this product;especially if you can get it for $22. The spindle I ordered was defective. Went to the Memorex website and filed for a Warranty Replacement. Spoke with someone from customer service. They were very helpful and accommodating. Received my replacement disks 2 weeks later. I liked the fact that it was hassle-free. Was this review helpful?

I've purchased this item before. Didn't have much problems with it besides the occasional one or two disk failures but I usually chalk it up to a minor loss since there are 100 in the spindle. The last time I bought this was around December. I did not get a chance to use it until recently and I found that a good chunk of the disks was failing. I mean, no I did not try ALL of them, but randomly picking out a good 25+ and seeing an error message was enough. (And yes I opened another spindle of disks that I also had on hand and they work, so I ruled out that my burner was on the fritz.) Was this review helpful?

Every movie I attempted to burn using these DVD-Rs skipped during the last few scenes. I had never had this issue with previous media, so I tried my old brand again and there was no problem with them. Could be my software (DVD decryptor and shrink) but for me these discs are definitely not usable. Was this review helpful?
