Works as expected, very fast. I like the fact that you can't lose a cap. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Extremely Happy Friday, December 05, 2008 A Customer from Rowlett,TX
I have enjoyed this flash drive. I love that it fits on my key chain so it's always with me. I used to leave my other one at home when I needed it at work or school, but this one is always with me. It's also a great price for a 4 GB. I would definitely recommend this product. Was this review helpful?

I purchased one of these drives about six months ago. I was so impressed and very satisfied with it that I purchased six more as Christmas gifts for some family members. A great value! Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 So far so good! Monday, August 18, 2008 Cindy from Indianapolis, IN
This is the second travel drive I've purchased on Buy.com. The first was a Kingston 1GB, and after a couple of months, it quit saving anything on it. There was plenty of room left, but somehow it got corrupted. I am able to take files off of it, which is good, but it refuses to save anything else, so when I looked to buy a new travel drive, I wanted anything but a Kingston product.
This Memorex 4GB has performed well so far, and I like the design better, because there's no cap to keep track of. I don't carry it with me for fear of having it be corrupted like the last one was, but it's serving it's purpose well, and the price was right for the amount of memory on it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Perfect memory storage Monday, July 07, 2008 John Sherman from Wildwood, MO
I can carry "My Documents" arround with me and use the information on any computer handy. Along with an auxilliary hard drive that automatically backs up my files, this completes the picture as far as protecting data goes, and it is completely portable. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 The WD External hard drive works well Sunday, July 06, 2008 A Customer from Lagrange,NC
The WD external hard drive I recieved works really well! It had a Memeo backup program that came with it and it is automatically backing up all the files that I told it to...That being said...I also got a (4GB USB 2.0 TravelDrive)Flash Drive that the computer said malfunctioned when I plugged it in...The little light never came on and it never worked once, not even the first time...I am now in the process of trying to return it but they are asking me these questions about the package,is it intact? Is the UPC code intact?...Well,No I threw it away when I opened it...but didn't use it right away cause the program I was going to use it on wasn't finished...So boys and girls remember to keep your package at least until you find out if it works!!!

5 of 5 Great product! Tuesday, July 01, 2008 Eddy from Pullman, WA
I purchased this because I kept losing my caps off my other drives or the connection where it attached to the keychain broke. And my previous drive was nearing capacity, so I had the perfect excuse to buy another.
This product was perfect for me...the swivel cap will never get lost and the Portable Vault software assures me that if I ever lose it, no one will access the data I have on the drive. The price for the size of storage is unbelieveably cheap. I purchased it for around $17 and got the free shipping.
If you need another drive (or an excuse to buy another drive), get this one with the free shipping (which arrives quickly).
My only concern is the drive is attached via a lanyard/line to a keychain loop. Maybe this is a better system than attaching the drive directly to the keychain loop since the line is flexible. (Think of a key attached to a thick string that is attached to a key ring vs. a key attached directly to a key ring). The "string" looks stronger than the string that attaches a digital camera to the strap...and I know I swing around my digital camera by the strap without worrying so I figure this lightweight drive shouldn't break the line.

5 of 5 Great Drive Tuesday, July 01, 2008 A Customer from Patrick, SC
This drive works like the rest. I did not use the installed software, but use the drive to store the files I want to be portable. I am using Windows XP and did not need the ready boost. The "no cap" feature is great since the cover cannot be lost. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Very Good Product Sunday, May 18, 2008 CC from Irvine, CA
It's very fast to save and retrieve data to and from this device. The price is reasonalble, though the size is a bit thicker than expected (about 3/8" high). Overall, I would highly recommand this product. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 ReadyBoost Works Great Tuesday, May 13, 2008 Eddie from Orange County
I've bought other thumb drives, not realizing that they were too slow to support Windows Vista ReadyBoost feature. This Memorex thumb drive works very well ... and for the price, it's hard to beat. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 To Much Trouble Tuesday, May 13, 2008 BHM from VT
Compared to other "secure" USB Keys I have, these are to difficult to use.
I have NOT found a way to map a drive letter to the "secure" area of the key after unlocking it. This makes it very difficult to utilize and not worth the hassle.
I found others (e.g., Lexar, IBM, PNY) to utilize a much simpler process. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great Flash Drive! Tuesday, May 13, 2008 DWE from Southeast AZ
Haven't had any corruption issues transferring large or small files from my desktop to the flash drive. Works faster than previous flash drives I've used in the past. I like the quality of the drive so much, that I'm waiting for it to go on sale and purchase them for family back home. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 3 of 5 Good but one drawback Tuesday, May 13, 2008 A Customer from St. Paul, MN
Good capacity and works well. Only draw back was that you can't have two files of the same name anywhere in the vault. Setup multiple directories in the vault and have different files, but with the same name, in different directories. The second one reports the conflict and allows you to overwrite the first one. It shows in the correct directory but the first one in the first directory is gone. It looks like all files are stored with encrypted names in a single hidden directory on the drive and it can't handle duplicate source names. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great little product! Tuesday, May 13, 2008 A Customer from St. Charles, MO
I purchased this little flash drive for use at work. It's fast, easy to use (just plug it in), and, best of all, holds a lot of data. I actually even put some music on it. Buy.com had it a good price with free shipping. Couldn't go wrong with that. As always Buy.com's shipping was quick and efficient. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Overall a great product Tuesday, May 13, 2008 A Customer from Pittsburgh PA
I bought this flash drive mostly do to the price, it was $20 and I got $10 of for signing up for Google Checkout, also because it is Memorex I felt the brand itself could be trusted. I have now plugged the flash drive into a few different PCs and all have been quick to identify it and assign it a drive letter. Although I have not put anything very large on here the drive it self seems to keep up with the speed of the USB where some older ones I have had seem to choke on larger files.
The drive itself is small but also has a strength and weight to it that makes you feel like it will not just snap in half. I have it on my keychain on the optional hook and it makes it easy to carry but it could also be very easy carried in your pocket with no issues. One of the best features of this drive is the way it opens and closes, I like have some protection over the USB tip. Was this review helpful?
