Replaced AOL's comprehensive Safety & Security Center (also written by McAfee) with this product. Significant performance improvement and better features. Much better choice for homes with network (who doesn't?) and older kids where Parental Controls no longer needed. Was this review helpful?

I mostly bought this because our new PC had a trial that expired and our PC kept telling us it wasn't safe. To avoid more notices we found a sale with rebates. We have had a couple of issues where a new update has caused problems with our PC.

I have two parts to this review:
1. Customer service at Buy.com. I am happy with the customer experience, they worked with me to clear rebate issues.
2. McAffe 2007 works fine, you cannot really tell if it is protecting better than Norton or not. But processor time wise it does take a little more processing time than Norton. Some menus are not so easily understandable. Overall I think it is a good buy. Was this review helpful?

In recent years I have used both McAfee and Norton. For obvious reasons I stick with a product I trust and McAfee is that for sure. Recently I had purchased a new laptop with McAfee pre- installed and it was free for a 60 trial. Didn't even wait especially when I saw the fantastic offer thru Buy.com. I'm an IT professional and this IT geek is sticking with the best.
