This product was purchased as a subscription extender. Was originally on McAfee's automatic renewal but found that was much more expensive versus buying the renewal CD from Buy.com. Installation was very easy and painless. Probably the easiest I have encountered for any of the security type software I have used in the past. I will have to leave it to the experts to tell you if the protection suite is robust against invaders. I do know that the software is not intrusive and automatically updates itself and is convenient to use. Would recommend to others.

I got this on sale form Buy.com. It was very easy to install, it also lets you know if the web site you are going on is safe.and is for 3 users. I had a nortons on my old pc. removed it then installed this on the pc is runnig much better.

Great price fast shipping. Totally remove any other virus software before installing. Great deal for 3 computers! All will expire one year after the first one was installed. Mcafee is a reliable product.

I was impressed with the speed in which I received my order. The McAfee 2009 Total Protection Package was easy to install on my desktop computer, but I did have difficulties with the installation on the laptop. It loaded ok, but would not let me run a Scan on the computer. It shows that it is operating correctly, but I get an error message when I try to run a scan.

Easy to install. Thought it would alert me to wiretaps on my SKYPE phone, but didn't. Now I might be going to jail. I don't have any viruses, though. However, I might contract some in Costa Rica...

I have not use it yet since my current one will expire in Aug but I have use McAffee before and I never have problems. All I can say is that my buying experience with Buy.com is amazing. I received it in 4 days.

This can be used on 3 different computers. It is so easy to use. Just pop in the CD and it instructs you what to do. There is only one CD, so it can be used 3 times. This is the second year I have bought this very one because I have 2 computers in my home. Works great!!

This software was very easy to install, and it took about 20 minutes to do so. McAfee has gone "green" so there was little paperwork, and you can download it off the internet, which is a feature I have always liked--I tend to lose my installation booklets. Instructons were easy to follow. It is working fine.

Purchased through Buy.Com because they give the best price for value. This software installed easily, but you must have an internet connection to get all the updates. Effortless install. Once up and running the software worked as expected and was a great replacement to Norton. Extra features are nice compared to NAV, but have not tried them all yet. Already quarantined one trojan and some adware so it is definately working in the background when surfing the net.

I had the Norton product, but it was soooo expensive to renew that I bought McAfee 2009 and it is a wonderful and total program. I am very satisfied.

Because my current McAfee protection has a couple of months to go, I've not yet loaded this product, but based on having McAfee for quite a few years, I'm certain the product remains as good as ever. I'm impressed by the frequency of virus protection uploads, often more than once a day.

I guess if you must have anti-virus software on your computer, than this is a good one to get. it's easy to install and updates are automatic and frequent, to keep you well defended. However, I find that running any antivirus software slows down my system dramatically. But again, if you gotta have one, this is a good choice. It comes with 1 CD good for 3 computers for 1 year each.

Hi, I have 2 laptops and have McAfee on 1 and another internet security suite (I won't take names here, but the other one is a market leader too). McAfee is much less resource intensive and easier to use. I work from home using VPN software, the other internet security software crashes my laptop every now and again while I use the VPN, while McAfee works fine. I do use StopZilla for spyware along with McAfee, I think the combination works well. There was a spyware iSpyNow that McAfee (and the other internet security software) could not detect, which StopZilla did.

Great price for a three user license. Have tried other companies but seem to keep coming back to McAfee. Seems to work better with my version of Outlook and is easy to use.

I have been using this product sine last two to three years. It just works well. I heard of complains that it slows down PCs but I do not experience it. I have three users version installed on XP and Vista based PCs. I'm happy with its result. It's a great value to price you pay!

After having my desktop PC totally crash by a virus years ago, I wouldn't dream of NOT having anti-virus protection. I've used both Norton and McAfee programs in the past and prefer McAfee for its ease of use, total protection, and customer support. The 3 user software allows me to install on my desktop PC and 2 laptops. The price was a steal compared to other stores and websites. The only negative about this product is that it pretty much disables my desktop PC whenever it is downloading updates. Since this doesn't happen with the laptops, I think it is more of a problem with my older computer rather than the product itself.

My wife accidentally clicked on a Trojan (Anti-Virus ?) that was a major hassle to remove. We tried multiple products with no success. After installing McAfee Total Protection (incl. Anti-Spyware), it automatically removed the Trojan bugs. Thank god. Plus, only $14 for a 3-user license ($45 at Costco). What a deal !

I have used McAfee, Trend Micro, AVG, BitDefender, PC Tools and Norton for the past several years. Norton and McAfee stand out to be the best. McAfee multi-user versions worked out very cost effective for me. Like several users had pointed out, it does not make much sense to renew the subscriptions automatically. My XP Pro runs slow with McAfee scanning, OTOH Vista is not impacted much.

I have been a long time fan of the Norton suite of offerings of PC Protection, but in recent years, Norton has become a bit of a disappointment. Because of research I did for work, I evaluated several full protection suites for an "enterprise" setup, which included McAfee Total Protection for Enterprise. That product won the race and earned my respect. When I learned there was a version for the home user, I had little trouble deciding to purchase the product. It was made even easier because of the excellent price I received at BUY.COM. Installation was almost too easy, (I have done it twice already, and the third installation (all three are included in the package) will happen in a few months when my "main" PC arrives. The tools themselves are very well thought out, and include the full versions of a few products I had found and loved as shareware/freeware programs. One of my favorite on-line tools is Site Advisor... now in the Plus version with the Total Protection package from McAfee. Only thing to be minorly concerned with right now, is the personal firewall. If you have Vista on your machine, there is a known problem with it, many people are affected. I was one of thos people. McAfee tech support was very good at helping determine the problem. Tier one support was diligent in their attempt to resolve the problem, but when unsucessful, they suggested a complete re-install... not what I wanted. I asked what else could be done and I was escalated to tier 2 support... the tech was incredible. He spent nearly an hour trying everything he could think of. Eventually, he had to talk to the programs engineers (programmers?) who admitted that they were aware of this problem with MS Windows Vista and that they would have an updated release available in a few days. Well, that day is only tomorrow. I am anxious to get the new version installed. I prefer the McAfee firewall as it is a 2-Way firewall. That means not only does it keep the bad stuff out, it keeps bad stuff inside your PC from "phoning home" to mess up your computer. Yes, there are many other products on the market, most are quite good at what they do. I currently own 3 different packages, all have their charmes and delights. but for the overall satisfaction factor you want, McAfee Total Protection is the solution you should use.

I used to buy the internet security suite. This time I went for the total protection. It worth every penny I paid for. Installed in all the 3 laptops in a snap. I am confident with browsing with the M logo in the system tray!

Way better than Norton, easier to use. you tell it what you want, not the other way; with Norton (which is heavier) you work for it instead of working for you. Had it for 3 years now, better to buy it every year than renew subscription, at $5.00 per computer is a deal. The 'Easy Network" feeature is really good and easy to get all computers sync.

Everything worked fine. Of course 3 days later Meijers had it on sale for $10.00 cheaper. Other than that it took a minute to load but once loaded it was working fine.

Price was good especially for 3 user downloads. Works well with lap tops. Seems to have slowed my PC desktop a bit but maybe it needs to be optimized with the Mcaffe program loaded now. Overall, great product.

I have a 64 bit Acer and it is hard to find software that will work on it. McAfee got my burning speed back with great protection. I had the free Comodo firewall, that sucked, and it hated PC Tools so this works great. Now here is one trick...I bought two copies, and will use the second to renew the first in about a year. That way I can buy some time to get a great deal on 2010 version. I do NOT use the auto renewal, way expensive. Watch Buy.com for the best deal on this terrific product.

Good value. First installation went fine. Second installation didn't complete on the first try and hung up my computer. Had to restore operating system from a backup. Second try went well and Mcafee seems to be working fine on both computers. Mcafee is easy to use and doesn't seem to interfere with other programs.

Installs fairly easily, has links to add adobe 9 software. I put on a couple of new computers and on my old desktop. Runs in the background, doesnt slow up the process. McAfee did a great job with this.
