I first heard of Jobriath back in the 70's, when I owned both of these lps. I loved both of them. The music is a mix of rock, pop, tin pan alley, and glam. I had lost both of these lps years ago, and about 5 years ago decided to try and get them once again. I finally found both lp (neither had been put out on cd) on ebay, bought them and had a friend burn them onto cd for me. Jobriath was supposed to be the american David Bowie. But when it was disclosed that he was gay, the record company did not promote him effectively and his recording went pretty much nowhere. Both lps are made up of songs from various genres of music. The songs are fun and campy. If you are a fan of David Bowie (especially the really early recordings) and/or the Scissor Sisters, or even the Hedwig and the Angry Inch soundtrack you will definetly love this cd.
