I've been using this Logitec beauty as my TV sound system for a year. They are so good I just bought a second set. I combined them into a "4.2" system, routing the main out of my DirecTV receiver through a Yamaha DSP driving one 2.1 in front and 2.1 in rear. Excellent sound for cheap.

I did a whole lot of research on speaker systems before I chose to buy one to replace my broken Altec-Lansing 2.1 system. I found this set that had received great reviews online. I Can't really say that they live completely up to all the hype, but for the money you really can't go wrong. Bass is great, but they seem to lack a little on highs and mids. Very clear sound, nice features (love the remote), and a mid level price tag. I use them mostly for music on my pc, but I also plug them in to my XBOX 360 for games. They sound really nice for the games. Make sure you consider the source material before judging them as far as music goes. Poor quality recordings will still sound poor. If you need a nice loud set of pc speakers to play your guitar along with, look no further!

Awesome system! IT THUMPS LOUD! I mean it rattles the entire house!!! If you don't need 5.1 surround, this system is great. I hooked it up direct (mini headphone jack) to my Samsung 42" HD Plasma in my bedroom and didn't want the mess of an entire surround sound system (receiver,5 speakers,wires etc). The two speakers sit neatly on my dresser under my TV. The sub I had to put on the floor, it is pretty big, but worth it. I can't express to you people how loud and crystal clear this system is. This is the BEST 2.1 system I have ever owned!!! BRAVO LOGITECH!!

I have always wanted this Logitech z-2300 speaker system. I had some old small speakers for my PC which had no subwoofer and the sound was so week I couldn't hear it outside the room. I was looking for a 2.1 system - 2 speakers and 1 subwoofer. I did not want to buy any surround sound 4.1 or 5.1 or any other, as I do not watch movies on my PC. You really need surround sound only for movies. Even if you play the latest game a good 2.1 speaker system is more than enough. So I bought it online. It was very easy to install. This system comes with a volume knob which had a power button and a bass control next to the volume control which is extremely convenient. This knob is in a separate enclosure, not on one of the speakers, which means you can put the speakers away from you and have only the knob on the desk which is what I did. Putting the speakers away from the desk will lead to a better quality of sound, same for the subwoofer. And, personally, I don't like the subwoofer to be under the desk like most people do, I don't like the bass waves next to my legs:) The subwoofer has somewhat short cable, but I extended it. You may have to do that. But that is the case with every speaker system. The power is so strong I never even used the volume more than half. This system possesses Total RMS : 200 watts RMS - you won't find stronger for this price. It also has Peak power of 400 Watts, but the RMS is what counts. You can compare it with other systems. I can hear the sound of my music on a half volume on the knob from outside my house, which is through 2 walls and over 20 feet away! this thing is powerful. The power and the sound quality may vary by the sound card you have, though. The bass control is very useful because some of the songs I listen to have more bass and others less, and I can easily adjust to my listening preferences. Some people in other reviews suggest the sound quality is not very good, but it is actually one of the best. Don't forget that depending on the music you are listening to you will have to adjust the sound EQUALIZER of the music player you are using which I know most people are lazy to do. If you adjust the equalizer that itself leads to a great quality of what you are listening. The speakers don't have any surround, and may be that's why they get poor reviews sometimes, but if you need surround sound (mostly for movies) why you bought this system in the first place? Don't listen to those comments. These is so far the Best 2.1 speaker system I have found, which is perfect for listening to music and everyday computer use. And I have used more than 12 different speaker systems, I am from a musician family (my father is bass guitarist), so I am pretty familiar with sound quality and speaker power. Overall great product. I bought this for the wife's Dell notebook computer for when she works at her desk in our home office... the bass THUMPS, and the highs and midrange are crisp and clear... for a 2.1 speaker system, these are VERY hard to beat. All components have a solid quality feel to their construction and they look elegant enough for "conservative" decors, yet modern enough to satisfy the contempory crowd as well.

I have a Microsoft System80 analog 2.1 system (Win98), a Boston Acoustics Digital BA735 and a multitude of $10 powered PC speakers. This is the best of that group--although the System80 is very good. Z-2300 works well with my Vista Ultimate Desktop. Buy.com was best price on internet for new out-of-box with no shipping charges. Very pleased with this.

Be ready to be impressed! This system is impeccable! Highs & lows were perfectly matched! The sound is very clear especially watching dvd live concerts! No sound distortion at high volume, the sub is a bit big but it does the right job! Unbeatable price value and free delivery!

These are great! Shipping only took 5 days. Very loud. All other speakers in this price range are 30-40 watts, these are 400! Highs a little lacking but they still sound great! For just north of $100 I cant complain at all. A+

I have owned this for for about 3 years and it is still perfect. This thing pounds! The sound quality is great when watching movies or entertaining guests. This is perfect for a budget HTPC build.I keep the bass at about 25% and it rattles the neighborhood.

This 2.1 channel speaker system sounds superior to a defunct 5.1 channel system it replaces. I'm very pleased with the sound, and the price is right. I too was delighted with the speedy free delivery.

This is an amazing buy for the price. The highs are a bit lacking but the mids and bass make up for that plenty. In my house im not allowed to have it on full bass or volume for more than 1 hour otherwise people become angry. The bass cracks walls and goes pretty low too (35 Hz I bass tested it, and that's not bad for the price!) So if you want a good product easy to use and loud as hell then buy this right now!

I bought it one year back and its very amazing with HIGH quality sound that we enjoy while watching Hollywood movies.. But recently few weeks back, we had problem with the given sound/power controller kit from where only we are able to Hear from one speaker (right) and the left-speaker not working!???!! not sure whats the problem ??

OMG!!! If you like listening to loud bass then this is for you. It's so clean and loud does not distort. I'm scared of turning up to half way. Satellites and Sub bigger than they look but still look great.

Met my expectations and then some. If you like it to thump it will. Subwoofer is bigger than I expected but still manages to hide well. GO to slacker.com and give the speakers a workout.

Great speakers, I replaced an aging set of Cambridge Soundworks. I was very impresssed with sound quality and price. I like the separate bass control on the remote and headset jack. Cables for the satellite speaker could be longer, I had to purchase some extension cables at my local Radio Shack for $10 to complete my installation.

I use these speakers nearly everyday and am very happy with them. The sound quality is crisp and deep and the remote control unit is handy. A very good product for anybody that wants great sound for under $150.

These speakers were a snap to hook up. No issues at all. Turned them on and BAM! What a difference from my old PC speakers. (and I already used a pair with a subwoofer) These are by far worth every penny. Go ahead...spend more...you won't find much better than this.

I don't have the words to describe the output of this speaker system. I first saw this speaker system at a friend's place and fell in love with the sound quality immediately. So I placed my own order and it was delivered the 2nd day. Unfortunately, the system did not work so I called Buy.com and was told to contact Logitech. After several attempts, I got through to Logitech and a replacement was offered immediately. I don't know if there are any comparable PC speaker systems out there, but you need to experience the Z-2300 to know how it feels like. For the price of $105 and free delivery, I cannot ask for more. I am not a sound engineer, but in my opinion, it is one of the best out there and you won't regret buying it. It is worth every buck. Highly recommended. Frankie

The sound is excellent. The woofer is a bit large, but man does is sound good!! The wired remote control allows you to control both volume and bass. This is very nice to have the bass control up on the desk instead of having a knob on the back of the woofer.

This is a very nice speaker set for all of you cheap people like myself. I was surprised at the bass this little 8" woofer puts out. I listen to mainly hip hop(real hip hop, no 50 cent here)and these sound great. If you want good sound from a small package, get these.

I already bouth two of this.. I don't want to bother with surround sound cause of the wiring.. So I got this and I'm very happy with them.. Base is great.. and speakers has great mid and high... More then enough for computer speack..

cnet raved about these badboys and gave it their editors choice award so i had high expectations, but overall i found their sound quality to be completely average. Bass's power was dissappointing, and the speakers clarity was average at best. decent buy for the price but i had such high expectations that they let me down.

The Woofer is big and heavy, but under a chair or in a corner is the best place for it anyway. The two speakers are a nice size that fit on top of my desk; one on each side of my laptop. They have removable dust protectors. Overall a great buy. You won't lose. I'm glad I made the sacrifice.

For a hundred bucks, this is certainly worth its weight in "sound". Fantastic sound (clean bass) for PC with Soundblaster audio card. Definitly tweak you equilizer for best sound (rock and electronic seem to work best on mine). Just one note, the sub is very large for PC standards(think 13 inch tube TV) and cords to speakers are not very long so placement has some limits). Sound is more than enough to rock the whole upstairs without distortion.

This is definitely a great purchase for those who want great sound from their computer. The detail in the speakers is astounding, I'm hearing notes and new guitar riffs that i did not ever hear with my original speakers. However the sub might be impressive in size, but in performance i have heard better. However still this is a great purchase for anyone who wants the audiophile experience with pc speakers.

These are fantastic speakers. I just bought a 2nd set for another PC. (Have had my first set for about 3 years.) At 200w you have plenty of power with no distortion at high volume....really fills a room! You have total control over the subwoofer adjusting the base to your taste. A wireless remote would be nice, but it is not an issue. If you are looking for a good 2 speaker system, these are the ones to get

These speakers are great! They are far louder than I expected and don't get distorted until almost full volume. Plenty enough bass to shake my whole apartment and probably the one below me too. The volume knob/pod thing is smooth, sexy, and convenient.

This speaker system is very impressive for the price. The bass are solid, it is a surprisingly musical system. I been buying a lot of speaker system over the years and have to say that this is the most bang for the buck I have ever seen. I had read plenty of good reviews about this speaker system. They were correct, what a good value. I got free shipping from Buy.com along with a rebate making this an unbeatable deal. Subwoofer is darn near overpowering, have to back it off compared to my old Creative i-trigues. Still--highly recommended speakers.

I got an email about a wonderful special on this system and I was taken with the reviews which were available on it. I had looked at a similar system by BOSE and was impressed how the reviewers rated this set higher. I went ahead and ordered the system on a Sunday morning and received it the very next day through the free shipping offer! Well suffice it to say I was thrilled when the system arrived on Monday and it was set up in about 10 minutes. I hooked up my MP3 player which I had bought from Buy.com under another special offer and there I was with a sound system which sounds like a $1000 plus system for 10 times less! The volume is unbelievable, the quality of the base is fantastic and clarity of sound is spectacular. I conduct meetings in my house on Wednesdays using music on the MP3 and my group members are astounded by the sound quality and the simplicity of the system. I am going to hook the system up to my laptop, projector and show my DVD's through it for a true theater like experience! This was a wonderful purchase and one I would strongly encourage others to consider.

I actually had purchased a pair of Bose Companion 2's for my son at Christmas. When we hooked his Zune up to them, we were very dissapointed with the bass tones as they were anything but rich and responsive. I looked for a long time to find a suitable replacement and the Z-2300's hit the mark. The sound is fabulous, especially the earth-shattering sub-woofer. The quality, ease of hookup, and cost all made this a very wothwhile purchase. From other vendors, these same speakers sell for over $150 and I scored them for under a hundred with the included free shipping. If you need low, responsive bass, and good quality hi and mid tones, you can't beat this system

These speakers are great, much bigger than i expected, the sub is huge! Very satisfied with my purchase, even with the bass all the way turned down and half volume the bass is still very prominent, sounds great. I researched all over for speakers for my computer and found out that these are the best buy for the money, you wont be dissapointed!!

If you are planning to buy a 2.1 speaker set, buy this. Its as simple as that. In searching for my speakers I did a lot of research into Klipsch, Logitech, Harman Kardon, Creative. Amongst those, the best speakers in the 2.1 category was definitely the Logitech Z2300. these speakers are amazing and have a HUGE subwoofer with great lows and highs. The only occasional problem is when you increase the sound too much it creates a low frequency distortion, which is generally found in any speakers below $200. If your budget is below $200 then this is just GREAT. 200RMS- Do you really need any more??

Folks, I can assure that the one who buys this unit will never regret for the Bass quality it provides. There can be some dissatisfaction when you analyse the Mid-Freq output, but overall sound quality overpowers this deficiency of the unit. I suppose u can't get 200 w Rms woofer at so low price. (The woofer is quite large in size)

My new speakers rock, and I’m not one of those people who are real freaks about sound quality. The wired remote is sweet because it has a place to connect headphones. If the base unit were a box it would be big enough to hold my head. The unit is HEAVY and comes with a giant heat sink on the back. The satellite speakers are pretty standard size for PC type. I searched all over and this is best deal for a premium set of PC speakers and THX certified! I got the speakers in two days flat even with free shipping.

Having compared this to the Bose Companion 3 and the Bose Companion 3 Series 2, this one wins hands-down with the added advantage of saving you a lot of money. Clean and strong base, clear midrange (which the Bose does not have) and clean highs, this one has a nice, natural sound. I have always liked Bose, but not in this contest.
