Vista automatically recognized and installed the drivers when USB was connected. Good sound at medium volume levels - distortion at higher levels. I contacted Logitec with a question and their Customer Service was excellent. A few adjustments in the Sound section of Control Panel are required in order to achieve best performance. If you're considering the Genius SP i200U (discontinued by mfr), you'll be sorry. I threw it in the trash the same day it arrived. Should have spent a little more $ and bought the V20's to begin with.

I definitely got value from these speakers. I bought V20 for a conference exhibit. Travels well in its hard case. Sound is excellent for small speakers. USB for both audio signals and power is a great convenience. With my Vista laptop, connect was immediate. Control on top were useful to control volume and play/stop movie.

Good value, speakers are small, compact, yet powerful. However sound breaks up at higher volume.

Sound is cracing most of the time. There is no bits at all. I dont like this product with the price.

These are great sounding and great looking speakers. I use them for my desktop computer. They have a full sound, are just the right size, not too big or small, and are attractive. I've never had mine bounce around the table with the volume up. If they do, the volume must be up quite a bit. These speakers aren't designed to replace your home stereo, but they can pump out the volume. I am very happy with mine.

These speakers sound very good for only running on USB power. It took several minutes for them to work properly on initial install, I assume due to windows having to recognize a new USB device. Now they work almost immediately upon being plugged in. My laptop runs WindowsXP Pro and I have not had any problems with them. I would absolutely recommend this product to a friend.

Two nice looking thin speakers come packed in a decent reusable case. My wife uses them for her laptop. I've heard some complaints about the length of the usb cord. It's just fine if using it for a laptop. I've also heard that they don't put out great bass, nor have great volume. They are probably right. The bass isn't bad for the size speaker it is. No, you can't blast them very loud. Hello, people! These speakers were designed for personal use, not for a block party. If you want to be blasted out, buy those Bose $250.00 speakers you thought were too much. The buttons on top work fine when using Windows Media Player. I haven't tried it with any other media player, like Winamp.

This will be simple, since I appreciate things that way. If you own a PC and find yourself dissatisfied with the sound output and volume, this is the item for you. Excellent performance at a very reasonable price, and oh, did I mention simple, just plug it in any USB port and enjoy the difference you'll experience. I can gaurantee that you'll be quite happy with this item and that's simply the truth.

My laptop also runs Vista, and I had no troubles with these speakers. There are speakers that deliver better sound at the same price, but these ones are very portable. It is very nice not to carry an AC adapter. Sound is good as long as you don't make it too loud or set bass too high.

My notebook PC has home Vista as the operating system. These speakers do not work on my laptop. They may work fine with XP but beware with Vista. I missed the 14 day return policy so now I am out of $60.00. I have not found a patch.

Pros: No AC adapter needed. Small size but very good sonic performance - especially the bass reproduction with such small physical size. Very good price with the rebate (without the rebate, value down to "4") ===== Cons or special considerations: Not for high volume playback (after all it should be designed for personal listening only). The right speaker (where USB cable connects to) seems (only seems) to be a bit louder. When you connect it to external USB hub, try not to attach USB devices which do not have have own power supplies (e.g., 2.5in USB ext. HDD) to the same hub while using the speakers. Reduced current supply to the speakers would degrade the bass reproduction(which needs much more current than for the treble).

no power supply needed! very sweet travel case super easy to use - remote buttons for Windows media player. No disappointments. Solid build quality, as is consistent with Logitech products.

Great because they are easy to set up, sound is quite good as long as you don't turn it up too loud. The way I look at it they are for personal listening, not for entertaining a room full of people. They are small enough to fit on a small table and still leave room for other goodies. The carry case is nice but I doubt that I'll use it. I like 'em.

Pros: Impressive sound for USB-powered device. Good price, nice case. Turns my laptop into a great music system for my office. Cons: all of the controls on the speakers do not function on my MacBook Pro, although they do work for volume adjustment. Cord is a bit short, so you have to be sitting at a desk to use the system.

I bought these without listening because they were the only notebook (sans subwoofer) speakers I found that are powered by USB. The USB requirement is because I spend a lot of time in Asia and don't always have access to 110 volt AC current. USB powered or not, the sound of these speakers is awesome. One problem--because of vibration, they "move around" a lot on a smooth surface. I tried thin, black foam...then black felt on the bottom and that didn't work. I guess you can "hard code" them to a desk using velcro? Whatever, these speakers rock.

These speakers are great! Right out of the box, make a few connections to your laptop and sit back and enjoy the sound. Be careful, you may have to turn down the sound levels!

very good sound. especially the amount of base for their size. overall volume not as loud as I expected from some reviews i read, but the quality of the sound is very good. rich. the only problem i have had is sometimes it takes several plug and unplug into the USB port for the computer to recognize them. I think you have to plug them in BEFORE you launch whatever program you are using them for but i'm still working it out. overall very happy with them.
