Surprisingly good picture for a mid-level webcam. It gets the job done for video chat. You can even take pictures from it. It's easy to use with any pc. Great value!

I have purchased this product 8 months back and presented to my in laws, back in India. Generally I am very pleased with Logitech products, but this one I found the picture not very clear and appears a bit dark, may be something to do with the desktop (this cam was meant for laptop). I will update this review if I get further chance to test the product with other laptops.

Hi I bought this great cam few days ago and I really got impressed from it. The Picture quality is just amazing and also the built-in MIC works fine. I would recommend people to buy it and it is really value for money.

Simply a great product -couldn't ask for more. Easy to install and use. Produces excellent pictures and sound. A good buy at msrp and a great bargain at a sale price. Total recommendation. LRT PS: to the reviewer who complained about the "Green Line" This a common occurence and has to do with the strength of the signal that one or both parties are recieving -NOT the camera itself. Google "web cam green line"

Bought this for my daughter so we could stay in touch while she's in college. It's connected to a basic Compaq Core 2 Duo notebook with Vista Home Basic and 2 gigs of RAM. I tested it on my end using a Dell Studio 15 notebook with a built-in cam, Vista Home Premium and 3 gigs RAM. She was connected via ethernet, I was using a hotel's WiFi. We were using Skype, which provides free video phone service. Everything worked beautifully. The image looked good, properly lit, and most of the time it was jitter free. I would assume any staggered performance was from the connection. The picture quality isn't ideal for high-end use, but otherwise, it's a great value.

This webcam is pretty cute and small and works well. Only drawback is that the mic picks the voice of the speaker and irritates the speaker.

I own the Logitech Quickcam Pro, and bought this Deluxe model for my family to communicate with me. My Pro does very well, with a good internet connection. My family uses their Deluxe and has a lot of problems with lighting (in various rooms with various strengths of lamps). My Pro will always adjust and do a great job of focusing. The Deluxe has a few issues. Nonetheless, it is a good webcam for the average, casual user. Logitech provides good software for this device and it is relatively problem free in Windows.

Also I use Dell Vostro 1500 which comes with a built-in webcam(plastic lens) When it comes to Clarity, you can't beat this glass lens cam.[2] Seamless integration with such applications as SKYPE, MSN MESSENGER, YAHOO MESSENGER, etc.[3] Nice setting options available for Quick Cam Software.I use this for a Toshiba Notebook without built-in webcam.[4] This is intended for a notebook, not for CRT. It is not so easy to adjust positions (not being able to swivel from side to side for example).

Installation was a snap. Just make sure you install the CD software completely before connecting the webcam. The webcam attaches nicely to the top of my Thinkpad. The controls are good, but you must manually change the brightness and contrast in lower light conditions, as the auto mode starts the image off too dark. Once set, all apps use those settings. I use the webcam for Skype calls and receivers say the image is clear, not too jerky, minimal blurr and good colorization even with low light. The built-in mic is a plus, but I'm not sure if it overrides my Thinkpad built-in mic, I still have to do more testing. Real plus for laptops that do not have a built-in mic.

I purchase two of the notebook webcams. One is just fine and very happy with it but the other webcam has a green line in the middle (full length )of my incoming video that is from top to bottom. The mic on it goes in and out. I've contacted Buy.com to return it and have it replaced but nothing other that an email to me asking if I still had box intact with bar code and receipt. I answered yes to both question about 10 days ago and no further correspondence form Buy.com. I've contacted by email them three times now to no avail.

After a rebate, this is only $24.99 so it's definitely a good deal. The quality is pretty good. The only thing is that the camera freezes up sometimes when I use it with Windows Messenger.

I think it's a pretty good webcam for a price of $25. It installs very easily, and has a lot of ajustable features to ensure the best image. It includes lots of extras that makes it fun too!

The overall quality of the cam is good. The software is very resource hungry and could slow down your computer if you run it on a old system. The clip on is flimsy. Performance is however very good.

This is the best webcam I ever had. It fits very well to the laptop screen and captures photos and videos of amazing quality. I wouyld recommend it over any webcam for the price of 19.99 which I got.

This is a simple to use and easy to load camera with a good sharp glass lens and manual focus ring. The sharp image allows holding documents up to the camera for an other viewer to review. Software includes 'follow me' feature and some fun filters to play with.

To keep things sweet and short, this webcam is really awesome. Nice quality and I would recommend to buy if you are looking for one. Though I spent $20 on it, but it was worth it.

I bought this webcam on a Black Friday special for a fraction of the current price. Although the ad clearly states that it is for laptops, I mistakenly assumed that it could be clipped to the top of my Dell LCD monitor. I found the temporary and unsatisfactory solution of clipping it to the top of a glass. The installation went smoothly and in short order I was talking with my son in Seattle on Skype. The picture and sound were satisfactory. At times both would break up. It appears that the camera/Skype combination at times would overwhelm the older Celeron processor. It is easy to determine this by using Windows Task Manager. I would buy this only if intending to use it with a laptop with a relatively fast processor. Please pay attention to the minimum processor requirements as stated on the box.

I bought this as deal for 19.99 and no MIR, the webcam works fine but giving 4 * as there are some grains even though its 1.3 mp works fine not giving very much clarity as expected. I also have 2mp from logitech which is much better but 2mp webcame price way high. May be i am comparing a 2mp to 1.3mp logitech webcams ignoring prices:) This is definitely worth buying for $20, if you dont have any webcam and want to get used to it and it serves the basic purpose. Remember to have good lighting in the background.

I bought this webcam from Buy.com for $20 and free shipping. The installation and update software was very easy. It does not work with the old XP version. The main problem is the picture not clear or sharp at all. I tried all different setup but no luck. It is worse than the one I bought years ago. I've never used a webcam before - purchased it so my wife and I could see and talk with our daughters in college. works well although it is not as stable as I would like it to be sitting on top of the laptop.

It is what it is - an easy to use, simple webcam. Easily interfaces with various messaging programs and allows you to take digital photos with a click. I was very happy with it - works wonderfully in my sister's household, where computer savvy is unknown and durability is often thwarted by a curious two year old.

Is a good webcam for the price. I am pretty satisfied with it. Have used it only a couple of times, haven't had any issues. Installation was really straightforward on Windows XP.

The resolution is very nice but I could not make it to work well at night. Because of low light the backroung in the camera is pink. Maybe there is a night mode or smthg but I could not figure it out just yet.

The attaching clip works but it could be better. I would like to see a more secure fit. Other than the clip the camera works well and is very easy to setup.

Its a really decent webcam for the $15 I paid. That was $45 with a 30$ discount. Otherwise it would have been more of an issue. When we installed it, we had problems with seeing our image during testing. It has something to do with it not fully loading for Vista during the install from logitech. Every time we have tried to hook it back up to the USB, we get an install prompt from Vista. We didn't ignore it the first time and that caused us the issues. Since then it has been decent. The only other gripe is the clip. Its a bit balky on the rounded edges of our HP laptop.

This is an easy to use webcam - worked great with Skype. The claimed low-light compensation doesn't work as great as advertised, but does help. The clip is less than great on my Dell laptop. The camera just doesn't grab it very well. With the $30 rebate, the price and value can't be beat.

I was happy with this buy since I use the laptop a lot and used it to replace my older version of the Logitech camera. Pros: <br> - fits well on the Laptop screen - great sharpness - Good value for the price - Its a compact camera which is good to take around. Cons: - Doesn't do well in White light ( but that may be true for most web cameras) Overall a decent camera. I would really like Logitech to do something about the picture when there is white light around. The camera shows a dull image. Other than that its a good buy

nice compact stylish camera. originally, i expected it's larger that i can use for my PC, instead of the laptop. it came with a short cord that's only able to connect from the laptop USB port to the lid, which is too short to use for your PC (can't make it from your PC tower to your desk at all). Well, it did say it's a notebook webcam, so i give it 4.5 over 5.

I bought it a month ago, it is working excellent. Quality is awesome, even in little dark with the options given, it is too good. I strongly prefer this webcam for any one who is looking in their price range, I got for $8 after all the discounts.

The webcam is really good with a good value..... They shipped very late though. when I installed it, the image was very hazzy... I was about to return and that I realized to focus the front round lens and the image became clear..... Finally the cam worked and its sound quality is good..

With it's smaller size it out performs many of the larger desktop cams. It is an impressive device. Sets up easy. It's built in mic works ok but I add a mini stem mic to my laptop for extra support. Not sure I would pay the full price though. With $30 rebate it's an incredible deal.

I originally had a more expensive webcam and hated it. It works much better than a Microsoft webcam (not for notebooks) that my sister uses. The Logitech is perfect for my laptop with its short USB cable and carrying case. I use it on Skype and Windows XP and have had no problems. I love the Logitech software that came with it that allows you to invert the picture as well as other features. Everyone who talks to me with Skype comments about how good the picture quality is and the sound is also excellent. The microphone works from much farther than the 3 feet the product description gives. I recommend it to everyone I know.

Bought this for using Skype with my college kid. It was easy to setup and easy to use. Video is not the best but good enough for everyday "see and chat". Microphone is great. Overall, very happy with the unit and the price.

im pretty satisfied with this product. it does what its suppose to when it needs to. i would rather prefer if it where plug and play more. you have to have the software to use the web cam to its max potential. needs to change light settings or it will seem dark.

I was using a cheaper one before and this one absolutely gives far better quality. The microphone works very well too. I have been using it to talk with my parents in China. very convenient. For that price (11 after rebate), I'd say it's a good bargain.
