5 of 5 Good, solid everyday mouse Saturday, July 18, 2009 Randy from Kansas
I did a thorough search for a reasonably priced wireless mouse for my desktop at home and finally settled on the LX7. I may have given it a 5 for performance but my wife occasionally complains that it is slow to respond when it first wakes up at the beginning of a session...hasn't really been a problem for me, so maybe it has do with our mousing styles (or patience levels).
The battery life is great. I have had it for 1 1/2 years and just now replacing them. Also very nice that it alerts you via a slowly flashing light when they get low so it doesn't suddenly go dead on you.
In summary, I'm very happy with the feel and response and I love the freedom of being untethered by a cord. Typically good quality and reliability from Logitech. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 This is the best mouse I've ever used! Thursday, April 09, 2009 Mina from Burtonsville, MD
I bought this mouse on a whim three years ago. Since then, I've bought two more for home, one for the office, and one for a friend. The battery life is great. It's very comfortable. I'm a web designer, and I use it all day without any trouble. The "back" and "forward" buttons are in the perfect place. Good scroll/tilt wheel. The USB adapter is small (does not have a wired receiver). Also has a battery meter. The mouse in my office has been going for 8+ hours/day for three years and still performs as well as the day I got it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 This mouse is GREAT! Wednesday, April 08, 2009 Mike from New Jersey
This is the third one I've purchased. I now have one for every computer I own. I have one for my home & work computer and my laptop. I used to have a laser mouse for my home computer which worked fine but it used to eat batteries left & right. With this mouse it feels like it has the same responsiveness and I've have had a set of batteries last over six months. It's overall just a great functioning mouse! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great everyday mouse, good for pro work. Wednesday, April 01, 2009 A Customer from Orosi, CA
I'm a big fan of Logitech mice, and this simply moves that trend along smoothly. This mouse is simple to use, doesn't have over-bearing features, and basically "gets the job done". It's lightweight, but not TOO lightweight - there's enough weight there to give the mouse a nice solid feel. It connects perfectly to the included USB reciever and they pair automatically. My main use for the mouse is graphics work, and it glides along my selections in Photoshop perfectly. No real need for a more expensive mouse, this one will do you just fine. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Awesome mouse Sunday, January 11, 2009 Chris from New York
After buying a laptop for school over 2 years ago, I wanted a wireless mouse. I bought a cheapy one that died after 2 weeks. Then I saw this one and took the plunge. I couldn't be happier. I love the back/forward buttons that allow me to fly through web pages, it's responsiveness is great. Logitech has made be a loyal customer for life. I've loved just about any product I've purchased from them Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very nice mouse Saturday, August 09, 2008 John from Colorado
This is the third wireless mouse I've tried with this laptop & it is by far my favorite. It has a very nice feel in my hand. Good balance of weight & shape that leads to very comfortable feel. The dark blue even looks nice, too. The only negative is that since I use with a laptop it's too bad that the USB receiver doesn't store directly with the mouse when I've got everything packed up in the bag. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 I LOVE THIS MOUSE!!! Monday, July 07, 2008 A Customer from Williston. VT
Pros: The Optic laser works incredibly well on tons of surfaces; Sleek, sexy design; very comfortable (even though i have big hands); great battery life.
Cons: There are no cons. only pros.
This mouse is awesome. It works really well and it is just a hot piece of equipment. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Don't buy it for Mac's Friday, June 20, 2008 VC from Rosemead
This product is satisfactory, not great, if you're planing to use it for a Window desktop. However, I purchased this mouse with intentions of using it on my MacBook and, my gosh, it was such a disappointment. The mouse would frequently freeze and jump around. It also has big USB plug, which was so wide that it prevents me from using the second port. So, in other words, I would have to take out the mouse's USB in order to use any other USB devices such as a flash drive. On top of the constant freezing and jumping, it had trouble operating with the Leopard system. For example, it would not view my slit screens or desktop items. Overall, if a friend asked, I would NOT recommend this product. There are way better mouse for out there for about the same price. Again, not to take anything away from the mouse, it works "ok" on a Window PC, but I ABSOLUTELY hate it on the Mac. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Logitec LX7 Wireless Optical Mouse Monday, June 02, 2008 Mike from Pompton Lakes, NJ
This product is a vast improvement over the standard wired mouse. Upon installation it was a bit too sensitive and the curser kept flying off the screen. I had to figure out that I needed to go the the computer control panel, click on the mouse icon, and adjust the sensitivity. Once I determined that was the problem, there was no problem. It would have been convenient if the insructions mentioned the possibility of this problem and how to fix it. It is now working perfectly. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Marvelous Mouse--worth every penny! Monday, May 26, 2008 Enid from Brooklyn, NY
The short cord on my previous mouse was driving me crazy, so any decent cordless mouse would have been an improvement, but this mouse performs beyond expectations. It fits all the hands that have had occasion to use it, including mine, extremely comfortably. It is much more responsive than other rodents I have used, and it was a breeze to set up (directions were absolutely clear). I am using it in Vista, with just the basic functions for now, but those include the little forward/back buttons below the wheel, which worked immediately in Firefox. At first I thought the scroll wheel did not act as a third button, because it depresses so subtly, but it does work, in fact, and I can still direct a link to open in a new tab in Firefox by pressing it. I couldn't be happier and would have loved this mouse even if it had *not* been one of Buy.com's special deals. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Logitech Rules!!! Sunday, May 11, 2008 A Customer from North Carolina
Great mouse. great price. this mouse has a very well designed feel and peerless functionality. i recently upgraded to a logitech Wave keyboard that made my old IBM mouse look pretty sad. i bought this to accompany the keyboard. And, couldn't be more happy with it. plugged it in and XP recognized it. U will have to download the software from logitech site to use all the buttons, as the mouse does not come with a CD. 5 of 5 Must buy Saturday, May 10, 2008 tj1182 from Brooklyn, NY
This mouse is fantastic! I had a another Logitech mouse from five years ago, and it had gotten horrible after time, the mouse will skip and I would screw something up.
This mouse was the easiest decision I made.
The only con I have was the shipping. I ordered another product along with this, and that item came eight days before this did. It was shipped from the same location so I don't know what was about. Was this review helpful?

After the $10 rebate, this mouse came to about $15, a huge deal. This mouse is great for everything except gaming, especially at that price. Even at $25 this mouse is a good deal, highly recommended. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great mouse, great price Wednesday, June 13, 2007 A Customer from Las Cruces, NM
This is the perfect mouse for smaller hands for those who feel laptop mice are too small. Most mice are too large for smaller hands, it took awhile to find this one but it is great. This is my second, bought it for my laptop. Very responsive - I had tried a Microsoft Laser laptop mouse, but could never get the click rate set and laptop mice are really too small. This one works good and has great battery life. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Very happy Friday, May 25, 2007 A Customer from Austin, TX
Great price. Little USB transmitter/receiver much nicer than the bulky (mouse-sized) transmitter and cord that I have for two older Logitech wireless mice. Although, depending on where your USB ports are, it might not be convenient to have a rigid 2" device hanging off the side (like it does on my G4 Powerbook). With the older devices, I could position the transmitter wherever I wanted - out of the way. But since I'm using this with a laptop, not having to deal with the cord during transport is great. Likewise the on/off switch on the mouse. With my older optical wireless mouse, I had to remove the batteries before stowing it in my suitcase or else the laser would operate all the way to my destination. The sideways scroll action is really nice, but so far, on my Macs, it works with Excel, Word, Photoshop and the Finder, but not with Safari, Firefox, Netscape, Entourage. The forward/back buttons also have limited application support. The mouse looks great, but it's a little skinny for my hand (I do not have big hands, so if you do, this might be an issue.) Overall, a good solution for me. Much better than a tiny "laptop mouse." Was this review helpful?

I absolutely love my Logitech LX7 cordless optical mouse with tilt wheel. I had a little bit of a problem getting it to work the first time I installed it. But once I got it to work it has worked flawlessly. It's so convenient compared to a wired mouse, and because it's fully programmable, you can pretty much make it act the way you want it to. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for freedom from a wired mouse.
Great feel--comfortable--and love the sideway scroll capability of the tilt wheel.
The price was unbelievable, and I got a rebate as well!!! Was this review helpful?

My first impression was that this mouse was too small for my hand. However I tried it anyway and now love it. One of the best feel mouses that I have ever used! I also have many rechargeable mouse kybds, but having 2 AA cells is simply much easier. I am not sure how it manages the power but it just seems to always work and the batteries are still going stong after 2 weeks and 15 hours per day use. This is my primary work mouse now. 5 of 5 New Mouse Gets 5's Friday, April 13, 2007 John from St. Charles, MO
I replaced a failing Radio Shack mini-mouse with this one. The LX7 works well with my laptop. It fits on my mini-mouse pad. No wires to tangle. Zoom capabilitites are nice, but be careful shrinking text inside internet frames. I had to reload FoxFire to get it back. Very nice feel and heft with the two AA batteries. Left and Right scroll is quite useful with wide spreadsheets. You can also scroll to next tabs within a spreadsheet with two more buttons under the tilt wheel.
The LX7 installed easily onto my XP Pro and has a good tutorial to show how to use the new buttons if you're used to a basic model. It took a restart after the mouse drivers were installed to activate all the features. After a $10 rebate, it only cost me $20. Batteries are advertised to last 8 months. You can turn the power off with a switch under the mouse. Maybe that will make them last longer. Just got it today. Buy.com got it to me in a few days, even with free shipping. 5 of 5 The Only Mouse You Will Need Wednesday, April 11, 2007 Hammer from NY, NY
I got one of these and am quite pleased. Use it with my laptop, regularly. Very low power consumption (have not changed the battery yet). It works on every surface except glass (all opticals have trouble with reflective surfaces)--when I'm out with my laptop I often use it on my leg (!) with ease, which is great when you're in a cafe' with a table smaller than your laptop. The scroll works great and with ease in both the vertical and horizontal. The shape and rubber on the sides make for a comfortable hold too. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Best mouse I've used Wednesday, March 21, 2007 Jeff from Camarillo CA
I absolutely love this mouse. Our secretary ordered one for me without knowing much about it, and since then, I've asked her to order one for our new financial assistan (who loves it) and I've ordered one for my home computer. I've used plenty of mice over the past 15 years and this one is easily the best I've used. Good: - Small size, but not so small to make it awkward. Fits well in my hand.
- Universal setup, so righties and lefties can use it equally. I'm not a lefty, but I tend to pay attention to that kind of thing.
- Buttons are programmable to pretty much anything.
- Scroll wheel tilts right and left, which I've assigned as my Forward and Back while using the internet. I LOVE this feature, probably more than anything. Since I've set it up that way and gotten used to it on my mouse, whenever I use a different mouse I am constantly trying to tilt the non-tilting wheel and getting irritated. LOVE the tilt.
- Batteries last a really long time.
- It looks nice, not the enormous funky looking ones we used to have. Plus, the dark color doesn't show the dirt and use that older white ones showed.
- Signal receiver is much smaller than old ones that took up a lot of space on your desk. Also works well with a laptop without excess wires and stuff.
- I don't find much lag at all between when I move the mouse and when the cursor. Not-So-Good: - Buttons behind the scroll wheel are a little awkward to get to, since you have to move your palm to hit them. Not terrible, just a little bit of a bummer.
- I prefer the dark gray and black color combo over the dark blue and black, but the gray costs a little more. Again, not the end of the world, but kind of a bummer Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent Mouse Tuesday, February 27, 2007 LR from Rockville, MD
Having used this mouse for about 2 weeks, I've had a very good experience with it. It's precise, installed very easily, and performs better than expected for the price.

I only have two small quibbles. First is its size; it's a bit small for my hand. But, this is not a big deal, most mice these days are a too small for my taste. My other nitpicking point is that the forward and back navigation buttons only seem to work in Internet Explorer (i.e., not in Firefox 2.0). Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Fantastic Mouse! Thursday, February 01, 2007 A Customer from Patterson, NY
I have used the LX7 now for a few months, and wonder how I could have lived without it. It is fantastic. It works just as well with a laptop as with a desktop, since it's sleek features and comfortable style go with anything, and can go anywhere, even if you want to take it on the road. It is absolutely worth every penny I paid for it, and I highly recommend it! Was this review helpful?

What a great mouse. Comfortable in the hand, smooth motion with the optical sensor and fantastic battery life...especially considering the price tag on this gadget. I've used mine every day at work for more than three months and still haven't changed the batteries. I love the tilt wheel and because I have a laptop, the convenience of the cordless USB receiver (which is the same size as my SanDisk USB thumb drive) is awesome--much better than the corded variety. This mouse works perfectly. The tilt wheel is an awesome feature, allowing you to scroll left and right as well as up and down. Setup was simple and quick. Just plug into the usb port and within seconds, the mouse is ready to use. The only complaint I have about this product is that the color of the mouse was not quite what's pictured. It's more of a dark grayish blue, but color is the least of my worries. Overall, great product and great service from buy.com! Was this review helpful? Click here to see all 53 reviews
