I bought this to use in the living room with a TV..reviews stated long range...I couldn't use it more than two feet from TV/PC, did not serve my purpose. I would not recommend for any distance further than next to PC. But Buy.com was as always spectactular to deal with. Still looking for a wireless desktop that works from 6+ ft away. My first wireless keyboard/mouse combo was from Microsoft and it was a disaster. Setting it up was complicated and the connection between the components never worked well.
Then I bought my first Logitech combo for my study at home and I could not be more happy. I added one for the office and another one for my wife's home office. They all work like clockwork and were a snap to set up. I also like the feel of the keyboard keys. They feel snappy, not mushy. In other words, an excellent product throughout. Dealing with Buy.Com was as straightforward and pleasant as always.

5 of 5 Once again Buy.com comes thru for me! Tuesday, March 03, 2009 Kenn from Portsmouth, VA
This Logitech LX310 Cordless Desktop set is great! I have purchased several Logitech keyboard and/or wireless mouse sets before. I would like the keyboard but not the mouse or the mouse and not the keyboard. This one combines everything I wanted for the keyboard and the mouse in one USB connection for the best price. I am running XP Pro and I didn't even need to load the software on either my PC or laptop (I tried it on both systems).
Thanks again Buy.com! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Best Combo ever Monday, January 26, 2009 A Customer from LA, CA
This is the best Keyboard and mouse combo ever mainly because of the killer mouse. I love the way it feels, love the fact it has 7 buttons that are fully customizable with the software. The keyboard, what can you say about a keyboard, it works. I have 3 of these and they are awesome. One receiver went bad after a year which is really odd for Logitech in my experience, but a call to tech support got a replacement to me. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Exactly what I wanted Monday, September 15, 2008 A Customer from Amherst, MA
This keyboard and mouse combo are a spectacular value - If I could have rated higher than 5 on the value choice, I would have (I paid $42 with tax, -$15 rebate = $27). Both function exactly as promised and were easy to set up. The keyboard is extremely light, which makes it easy to use on your lap. This keyboard also has the Windows Menu Context Key (the key that simulates a "right-click"), which other Logitech keyboards do not; the absence of that key was a deal-breaker for me with other keyboards.<br /><br />The only thing about the keyboard that I'd change is to have the keys be more tactile. I like the old-style press-and-click keys, but I understand I'm in the minority. The keys here also have plenty of responsiveness, so I'm really nit-picking to find something to identify as a weakness.<br /><br />One issue with the mouse is that it is difficult to click with the scroll wheel (e.g., for universal scroll). It requires a decent amount of force, which means sometimes you end up scrolling the wheel accidentally. This isn't a big deal for me, since I only click like that a few times a week, but you should keep this in mind if you use that feature regularly. Also, I've gotten used to it, so clicking has become easier. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Exceeded expectations Saturday, September 13, 2008 MrE from Atlanta GA
This product (mouse/keyboard combo) is the best for the money. It was completely plug-n-play with two minor steps to synch the devices. It can even be used on multiple machines with ease. Highly recommended for anyone just looking for the convenience of wire-free accessories. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Really cool stuff Wednesday, September 10, 2008 A Customer from Dallas, TX
It is a little bit expensive, but it is really helpful, especially when you have to output the movie or games to the big TV. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 really like it Tuesday, September 09, 2008 BBB from Dearborn, MI
Pros: <br>
> Great range (12+ feet). <br>
> Laser mouse works on ALL surfaces, arrow never 'jumps'. <br>
> Key-board short-cuts are VERY useful. (Mute, vol-up/down, close-program etc.) <br>
> Battery designed to last long. (mouse on/off switch) <br>
> Reprogrammeable mouse buttons: I have the left/right scroll wheel set to back/forward and the two buttons on top set to copy/paste. Love it. <br>
> Antenna is small and unobtrusive. (Caps-Lock, Num-Lock lights are on the antenna). <br>
> Cheap with rebate. <br>
<br>
Cons: Can't think of any. <br>

4 of 5 worthy & good product to use Tuesday, September 09, 2008 Ravi from Ann Arbor, Michigan
I bought it last month, It was really cheaper and worth of the value, easy to use and operate, It has controlling key which is to operate both key board and mouse....
I feel both should have been given with AA batteries and it would be really great product if it has a seperate controles to switch off the battery when not in use for either of them...
Overall its worthy and good product to use..

1 of 5 Good price however annoying keyboard Wednesday, September 03, 2008 A Customer from Falls Church VA
The mice works fine while the keyboard is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay annoying! It performs all kinds of crazy behaviors all the time such as keeping punch ~ key, keeping droping down the address bar on the browser or even keeping open office or powerpoint for you. The worst thing is there is no way you can stop it. It is the worst keyboard I ever have. Now I changed back to my old wire keyboard. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 good product Thursday, August 21, 2008 Rocky from Seattle area, WA
Picked up this Logitech keyboard and mouse combo to go with my media center computer project. Both items are good size, and have good range (5-10 ft). The set-up is pretty straight-forward. The instruction sheet is somewhat obtuse, but I guess a fair translation from Mandarin to English. Buy.com service was, as usual, impeccable. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great set at a great price. Tuesday, August 12, 2008 Frequet Buy.com Customer from MO
I bought this when buy.com was offering a rebate, so for the price it's a great set. I've always had good luck with Logitech products in general.
Keys are a bit squashed and are taking a bit to get used to, but other than that the keyboard and mouse work great! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 More accuracy with the wireless laser mouse Monday, August 11, 2008 A Customer from Santa Clara, Ca
BUY.com put this on sale for a great price and offered free shipping. Logitech offered a rebate of $15. The accuracy with the wireless laser mouse is almost twice as good as the other optical mouse I had. I set up my calendar to remind me to turn the power off to the mouse at the end of each day. Let’s see how long the battery will last. Logitech thought this one through.
I will always remember one purchase that I made with them in the past when they were willing to let me return an item without charging me. So I’m not afraid to buy from them.

4 of 5 Another great Logitech product. Saturday, August 09, 2008 A Customer from Cabot, AR
The keyboard and mouse worked right out of the box, no installation required. I would give this order a 5 but the batteries that were packed in the container by Logitech were out of date. Was this review helpful?

Can't beat the function for the price. It even worked, no setup, on OpenSUSE 10.3 and 11.0. Only the "onscreen calculator" button didn't work out of the box. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Logitech LX310 Saturday, April 12, 2008 A Customer from North Carolina
So far so good. Keyboard and mouse installed easily using Windows XP, without a problem. Keyboard has a nice feel, nice touch. The LX310 was bought with a $15 mail-in rebate, which we have not received yet. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Simplicity, affordability, and compact size! Saturday, March 22, 2008 Neil Thompson from Provo, Utah
This keyboard fits in a smaller sliding tray and the mouse fits my smaller hand comfortably. I like the button placement and feel including the top mounted Back and Forward buttons. Sometimes you get more with a simpler product. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Solid Low Cost Wireless Desktop Tuesday, March 18, 2008 Steve from Rochester, NH
This is a solid choice as a low cost wireless desktop. Setup is quick and easy. The mouse is great, no complaints there. The keyboard's response time can be sluggish at times. Especially if you are using key combinations (Ctr-C, Ctr-V, etc.). For the price I wouldn't expect to get much better. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Very good Keyboard/Mouse Combo Monday, March 17, 2008 robert from chicago, IL
I bought this USB keyboard and mouse to replace an aging PS2 combo. So far, I really like them.
The Mouse seems to be a near twin to the Logitech LX7 I use with my Laptop. The LX310 Mouse has greater range than the LX7. I have large hands, and the mouse fits nicely. Nice smooth feel and tracking. The back/forward buttons on the top (instead of the side) were a pain at first, but I learned to just use my left finger to cover both of them.
The Keyboard feels a bit generic, but it works well and has more "bells and whistles" than I "may" ever use. The Keyboard is a nice size, esepcially without the usual Logitech Palm Rest, which I don't miss at all.
I would buy the LX310 again, and I would recommend it to family and friends. The price I paid was very good, about equal to what just an LX7 Mouse costs. Buy.com got it to my door quick (real quick). I've always been happy with the Service I have received from Buy,com . Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Logitech LX310 Tuesday, March 11, 2008 A Customer from The First State
I would have to say my overall opinion of this combo USB keyboard and mouse is very good.
I was able to plug it right in after installing the batteries and use it immediately. My kids love being able to sit and navigate without the wires attached...
My only criticism is that the mouse is a little large compared to another wireless logitech that I have...
Not sure if I will also use all the features that come with the mouse as well...
Overall.... great price and product. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Outstanding product Monday, March 10, 2008 A Customer from North Wales PA

5 of 5 Yes, buy it! Excellent product! Tuesday, March 04, 2008 A Customer from Berlin, CT
Nice desktop set. Range is about 12 feet. Strong connection the first week, then the range is shorten after that. When connect to the UBS hub that has some other devices on it, the range is also shorten. Other than the issues above, I love everything like the design, the functionality, and material it is contructed. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Worked great out of box Sunday, February 24, 2008 A Customer from plano, tx
Had no trouble getting the product working out of the box.
The software installation is optional, but I went ahead to install
it anyway. The operating range upto 8-10ft is not a problem, even
though it is advertised to work only with 6ft range.

4 of 5 Simplicity Monday, February 11, 2008 A Customer from Lincoln, RI
Very simple set up. Great value, and seems to be working great (been using this to work at home--with my laptop--for a few weeks now). The quality is not superb, but as long as you don't plan to use this in the office every day, it should meet your needs. Was this review helpful?

The cordless feature works exactly what it is intended to do. The keyboard and the mouse is about 10 feet away from the receiver and responded without any delays. Buy it, you'll like it! Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 great product Sunday, February 10, 2008 A Customer from Brooklyn NY
I used a logitech wireless keyboard and mouse for the last two years and it works great so I decided to upgrade to this one. Easy to setup, one USB for both keyboard and mouse. The mouse is nice and smooth the back and front buttons on the mouse are a nice touch. The only thing that I can thing they could have done better is to use bigger buttons for their extra buttons like volume and playback since there is plenty of extra room left over. Not crazy about the MS buttons as well. Was this review helpful?

Since Windows XP is really just a stripped down version of Windows 2000 and I’ve bought many a product for my 2K system that has only has documented in the tech data that it was compatible with XP, I felt pretty confident that this would also work on 2K. Well…it doesn’t! I’m sure it would if they only put a driver together for it!
I wrote to Logitech’s support people and logged a ticket and after about 2 weeks I still have no response…I think this says a lot about the company support. I was only asking for a verification that there was not a driver available for 2K, or maybe find out that one was in the works or a work-around. I guess my options are to either pay a couple hundred bucks to ‘down-grade’ to Windows XP or Vista (a real downgrade in my mind) or find someone that can use this keyboard/mouse and maybe give me some of my money back. It would just be too costly to send it back for what I paid! Do you think Logitech is working with Microsoft to get rid of 2K and make yet another fist full of dollars having everyone have to ‘upgrade’ to yet another operating system that does virtually the same thing (but different) that the other ones did!
I’m sure it’s a find keyboard/mouse, but I’m not too sure about the company support you might receive if something was to go wrong.

5 of 5 Couldn't Be Happier Sunday, February 10, 2008 Rick from Bradenton, Florida
I've had my cordless desk set for a few weeks now and it is everything that I had hoped it would be. It was so easy to set up.. I just slipped in the batteries, plugged it in to my USB port and the keyboard and mouse were working with seconds. It took me longer to unplug, untangle and pack away my old mouse and keyboard than it did to hook up the new ones... and it really is great to have my desk space free of wires running all over it. The keyboard is very compact, neat and has a great touch to it and the fast keys for mail, volume etc work well for me. The mouse has a good feel to it also and is comfortable for my larger hand as well as my wife's small hand. Overall, this is one of the best purchases that I have made in a long time and I got it at a great price, not to mention a rebate that should be on it's way. Was this review helpful?
