4 of 5 Good basic keyboard but mouse is lacking Monday, December 01, 2008

The keyboard is solid and works well straight out of the box. Key pressing is a little unsatisfactory, I just don't like the feel of it. The mouse is pretty standard too, but the base of the mouse is slimmer than the palm rest and so my thumb, ring finger, and pinkie need to be more clenched than I'm used to, which actually puts some strain on my hand. I'm used to a wider mouse where i can simply rest my hand on top of the mouse and it fits the shape of my hand. This is actually irritating me at the moment and I'm probably going to buy a new mouse because of it. Everything works as it should, just some ergonomic issues that will be different for everyone. I have been using this combo for couple of weeks. I was looking for an inexpensive combo with USB connection to use with my laptop and this fit the bill. I am very happy with the keyboard, but not with mouse. Mouse pointer keeps jumping around and it is very annoying and sometimes makes it hard to use. Tried driver updates and configuration changes, cleaned the bottom of mouse and the surface, nothing helped. I would not give more than 2 stars, if rating mouse separately. Was this review helpful?

I've always had good luck with Logitech products and these items keep the tradition. Good quality, not flimsy, nice feel to the keyboard. Mouse has the smoothest-scrolling wheel I've ever used. Good stuff, good price, good vendor. Works perfectly with Vista Ultimate 32-bit. Sidebar: my 64-bit XP installation is a brick with this combo. IE, XP doesn't recognize either device. Can't be the KB/Mouse because the only diff between Ultimate and XP is the cartridge. Other than that, EXACT same setup. I'd buy this combo again.

The keyboard is simply awesome. The keys have a nice soft and springy feel and good response when playing online games or typing reports. Works great with just plug and play. Love the volume control. Great value overall. Mouse is nice quality and value as well. Good tracking and response. You just can't go wrong with this keyboard and mouse. Free shipping arrived within 3 days. SWEET!
