4 of 5 pretty cool Wednesday, March 26, 2008 A Customer from south fl
I was able to hear my MP3 player almost 3 times the range distance specified by the manufacturer. link up takes some time and cuts out/relinks speradically. if carried on person I find you have to have mp3 player on right side of body as specified by manufacturer. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 As good as it gets? Monday, January 14, 2008 A Customer from Ledyard, CT
While the performance of this product meets expectations, one has to wonder how good it can be. The audio is crisp and clear, but two things hold the overall rating down. First is the comfort. For those that wear glasses, this is always an issue with headphones versus ear buds. The pinch factor isn't so bad with a little adjustment, but for those that use headphones for an extended period of time will find the necessary adjustments annoying over time. Second is battery life. The units last about 5 hours, which is about 3 hours shy of what's needed, since I planned on using the device at work in a noisy cubicle environment, so I required 8 hours of charge.
If the above are not issues for you, then I recommend it. The volume controls are conveniently located and the audio quality is top notch. Uninterrupted range is about 20 feet. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 good stuff Wednesday, December 26, 2007 A Customer from IGH, Minnesota
I bought these headphones about 4 months ago and they've been really good to me. They're light and comfortable which is nice but after having them on for many hours my ears start to ache, haha. a problem with these is the don't work all that well outside, If I'm riding my bike with there on and I have my MP3 player in my pocket (2-3 feet away) the signal breaks quite a bit, but its usually just a 1-2 second pause then it starts again, not too bad but gets annoying. I bought these because of previous headphones with the wires breaking and i just got fed up with that. These headphones have good sound and A LOT of bass, and after having them full blast with the Xtra bass on I messed up the right speaker 8 (.
Last month the power button on headphones must have been hit or something and just pushing down on the power doesn't turn it on anymore, I have to push it down just right about a half inch behind the light until it clicks then only sometimes it works and i have to try again. Overall through everything it's been through it has held up longer than any other headphones I've had (for 3 times the price). 4/5 Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Better than expected! Friday, December 14, 2007 Phil from Sacramento, CA
These headphones are exceeding my expectations by far. They are NOT that heavy, they do NOT hurt my ears, even after wearing them for a long time, and as for others saying "they get warm after a while," I say, duh, yer wearing electric ear muffs!
The sound quality is outstanding. When buying a new set of headphones in the past I would buy several from different brands/price range and try each out side-by-side to get the best sound and return the others. These have sound as good as any "small" headphone I have tried.
The headphones I was using recently are Sony behind-the-head similar to these Logitechs but with a wire, and while lighter weight, they would easily get pushed out of position from bumping the band that extends around my neck. Even while wearing a hoodie sweater, I can crane my head up, look over my shoulder, whatever, and even though I can feel the band pressing against my hood, the phones stay in position over my ears.
As for range, they are acceptable. I can move about 30-40 feet before the signal starts to cut out. As a matter of fact, I was at the gym, had set my iPod in the cup holder of the treadmill and needed some water. I was clear across the machine room going into the gym lobby before I was reminded that I left $400 sitting unattended. Kinda nice, actually.
The little adapters that aid in attaching the transmitter to your iPod are nice, *and this can qualify as my only real complaint/criticism, but it would be great if the transmitter had a much lower profile. Such as something that clips to the top and extends down the back. The way it sticks up from the top with nothing but the 3/16" plug to hold it concerns me. I am worried that either the plug will get bent/broken off of the transmitter or the hole of the iPod will get worn. The solution I found is to use the short connection wire that comes with the set to plug into the iPod, then the transmitter into the extension wire and tuck the transmitter behind the iPod in my pack. For those of you who use those arm bands or belt-clips to carry your iPods/mp3 players, you may be frustrated by the size of the transmitter.
This product gets an A+ from me.
Let me add this. There was a problem during purchasing this item. There was an offer to get $30 off the price if I sign up for and get approved for a Buy.com credit card. I got approved but there was a problem when the $30 "coupon" was supposed to be deducted during checkout. I proceeded with the purchase since the normal Buy.com price was $10 less than the MSRP, but sent Buy.com an email explaining the situation (nicely) and within a week they credited the account $30.
Buy.com gets and A+ from me as well. Their prices are great and they take care of business the way more companies should. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great for working out... Friday, June 15, 2007 jimmymac from Randolph, NJ
I mostly use them to work out in my basement. The transmitter is connected to a LCD TV on the wall, and I'm able to move around freely and catch up on sports events and so on while exercising.
Sound quality is excellent, and comfort is good enough for the 60 - 90 minutes that I use them for. They're also simple to set up and use. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Buy.com the best place Friday, May 18, 2007 Ernie from Forest Hills New York
I ordered a pair and had a problem apparently it was delivered to a wrong house(BUY the Delivery Service) not Buy.com ' s fault. I contacted customer service they investigated and IMMEDIATELY SENT OUT A NEW PAIR. That is why Buy.com is heads above the rest in comparison to other online retailers...they respect and appreciate their client. Enough said the headphones are excellent and I purchased a warranty so if I do have a problem I am sure Buy.com will stand buy their sales.. Highly recommend the product and Buy.com Thanks ..class act Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Broken product - no support Tuesday, May 15, 2007 A Customer from Carmel, IN
I received my Freepulse and enjoyed it while it was working. The ear rings can be uncomfortable after about an hour as it is made for smaller ears and it is not adjustable. The device was easy to set up and work great for about three weeks. After three weeks - my headphone no longer charge up and became a useless piece of plastic. I have open two tickets with Logitech Support and posted in their forum and still have not received a reply after four weeks - it's now a BBB issue. Reading the forum - it seems that my case is not an isolated instance as there are others who had the same problem. My advice is save your $100 until somebody else come up with a better product and actually care to support it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent Buy.com experience Sunday, April 29, 2007 Ernie from Forest Hills , New YORK
First off ,the item was mistakenly delivered to a wrong address by shipping agent. I notified Buy.com and they immediately investigated and issued a replacement within days I received the item thanks to buy.com . Much respect for their efficiency and resolution of the matter.. The product is excellent and functions accordingly... thanks.....Great product and clear sounding Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great sounding headphones Wednesday, April 11, 2007 Matthew from Eagan MN
I was very happy with the quality of sound that came from the headphones. I wish the battery life was a little longer, and that the headphone back was adjustable, but it is still a quality product. I did have a little trouble getting the base and the headphone to sync together but the troubleshooting instructions were very informative and helped me through it. Bluetooth is pretty awesome and I would recommend this product to anyone who wants wireless freedom. Keep in mind that moving away from the base (from room to room) usually leads to a lossed signal. The range is good in the open but does not work well through walls. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 wireless success Thursday, March 29, 2007 sieckman@centurytel.net from Platteville, wi
Although I've never had wireless or behind the head headphones, after some browsing around I thought these would do the trick and to date I'm completely satisfied. They did charge up quickly, no trouble syncing, and no trouble with fit. Without much to compare to sound wise, the quality I'm hearing is quite good. Price was great too. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Sturdy and comfortable Tuesday, March 27, 2007 A Customer from Downingtown, PA
These headphones look good and seem well built. I especially like the easy-to-use volume control. If you are used to behind the neck headphones they aren't uncomfortable at all. If you use them to workout like I do, be carefull about sweating on them too much. Mine started acting weird and wouldn't turn on after getting wet inside. They're OK now after drying and a full 4 hour recharge. Was this review helpful?

0 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 4 of 5 Wireless, who could ask for more..... Wednesday, February 28, 2007 James Densteadt from Lansing, MI
Well I was a little hesitant at first when buying a wireless headset since they are not up to par yet. Though after getting these, I charged them up and off I went. They sound great and I love my music. The range seems really good as well. The button on the adapter is a little tough to turn on/off sometimes but not a big deal. Other than that, they cut out once in a blue moon after the first minute of operation...not sure if that's a connection issue or not. All in all they are a great pair of headsets...wireless is the greatest!!! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Work well, but somewhat uncomfortable Monday, February 26, 2007 A Customer from Willoughby, Ohio
Works well...
The reception and sound quality is good. No complaints. The only thing I don't like is that I have to press two buttons to turn them on -- one on the headphone and one on the transmitter. It would be nice to only have to press one button. Also, the transmitter button is too small.
...but somewhat uncomfortable
This is my biggest complaint. The ring that goes over the ears causes some pressure points that become almost unbearable after a couple of hours of use. Though, now that I have had them for a few months, my ears seem to be getting more used to it. I still think the design could be improved for better comfort. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 just right Thursday, February 22, 2007 peter from Conway Arkansas
These headphones were exactly what they needed to be, at first I thought they were a little heavy, but that passed once I heard how well they sounded. I would recommend these for sure. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 A little uncomfortable Monday, February 12, 2007 A Customer from Pleasanton, CA
I wear these at work so after about 4 hours they start to make my ears sore. Maybe all behind the neck headphones do this. The batteries last only about 6 hours. Other than that they work great! Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Great product! Friday, February 09, 2007 Jason from East Peoria, IL
This headset works great. The range rating of 30 feet is pretty accurate and it actually might be a little further at times depending on how many walls are between you and the source. I've used them for a month with no complaints. I had the previous version of this headset and the plastic head band broke. (Side note: Logitech gave me a refund on the old head phones without any issues. Cool service.) This unit has been improved with a steel head band with a rubber coating for comfort. Seems a lot sturdier than the previous model. Also, this newer model has better volume control and a mute button. Finally, this unit comes with an 1/8 inch extension for devices that don't have enough room for the transmitter to plug into. However, so far (with the new and improved longer stereo jack on the transmitter) I don't even need to use the extension. Making things a bit cleaner. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Solid headphones & extremely easy to use. Thursday, January 25, 2007 A Customer from Tucson, AZ
These headphones are pretty sweet.
I've had them for about 2 weeks now and they work exactly as they're advertised. . .perfectly.
After adjusting the headband & earpieces to fit my head, they are extremely comfortable to wear.
The battery life is right at 6 hours. . .so don't hope to stretch it any farther.
Overall, I'm extremely happy with these headphones & would definitely recommend them! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Surprisingly good! Saturday, January 13, 2007 A Customer from Norwalk, OH
I was a little concerned when I first bought these that they would be uncomfortable and that the sound quality would be similar to my bluetooth cell headset. Not so - I use the headset for treadmill workouts and it is perfect. No cords swinging around as I jog. Sound quality is excellent. They stay on my ears no problem. I suppose if I had a collared shirt on the "wrap around" would rub against - but I don't use it for that purpose. I'm not sure why Logitech didn't just make them "over-the-head" like classic headphones, but for me it's neither here nor there. I am pleased with the value and even more pleased to have a wireless headphone solution suitable for workouts. Was this review helpful?
