i just placed the order on Oct 31st late evening and i got the device on Nov 1st evening. I just chose ground service but somehow i got i really fast. I guess recession has increased the productivity of everyone... including me at my work. ALrite... abt the joy stick... its fantastic... logitech retains the standardand and quality of its product once again... best price for the quality. I use this joystick with Flight Simulator. The design of this joystick is excellent and ergonomic. With 12 buttons, I can customize them to do anything I wish, for example, gear down, lights on/off and other functions. The hat switch and rudder control are very useful. This joystick is perfect for Flight Sim and I am sure many other games. This was the cheapest one I could get with the functions I needed. Must buy, good bye. :) Was this review helpful?

I bought the stick for a fps game, i like the large base that has rubber pads that grip well, this keeps the stick stable.
The stick has a few things poorly designed on it such as no left hand use, the palm rest is too low making reaching the hat harder and the buttons on the base well... i feel they could have positioned them much better for left hand use. Was this review helpful?

I wanted a cheap joystick to use with Flight Simulator. I'm not a gamer, so I didn't need all the bells and whistles. Basically, just looking for a joystick, twist, throttle, flaps up/down, and pitch control. This has that and more. I haven't even programmed any of the buttons. I have had the Logitech 3D joystick for a few weeks now. It works great on my Windows XP machine via USB connection, it has plenty of programable buttons, it’s heavy duty sturdy and well built and looks cool. This one doesn’t have force feedback, but I wasn’t looking for that feature. A great deal at Buy.com!! Was this review helpful?

I bought this specifically for flying planes in Battlefield 1942 and did not care for wireless or force feedback & wanted an economical joystick. This one was recommended on another strategy guide website and fit the bill. It nice looking and has a nice tight feel to it rather than being a loose goosy feel which some prefer. Button placement is good although the thumb button feels weird being flush, so I opt to not use it, which is okay cause it has plenty of buttons. Controls everything so you can use it with two hands (meaning the left hand kind of holds it steady & controls throttle / other buttons) while the right steers & fires. On a solid surface it will pretty much stay steady without holding it with the left hand, if you need to use the keyboard with the left. Also works well for my size hand (I wear size large for gloves). I have a PC running Windows XP and it plugged & played right out of the box for me! Was this review helpful?

The Pros: Great looking joystick. Lots of buttons. Wide base. Feels solid.
The cons: Only for right handers-all the buttons are set up that way and the hand rest is also only for righties. It says on the box for PC and Mac. I have both, but software only comes for PC so if you want to customize or assign buttons in the Mac you are out of luck. Stick is not fluid-best used for flight simulation games not FPS. I had to constantly be recalibrating after ~20minutes of use. I'm planning on sending it back to logitech. Was this review helpful?
