Easy to use, reliable, highly recommend it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent presentation remote Sunday, February 08, 2009 Mark Kantrowitz from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
The addition of a LCD countdown timer to the Logitech Cordless 2.4 GHz Presenter Remote Control makes it superior to the Targus Voice Recording Presenter. Both have all the basic features: built-in laser pointer; 2.4 GHz wireless with 50 ft range; plug and play; runs on two AAA batteries with long battery life; and forward/back, start/end presentation and blank screen buttons. The RF does not seem to interfere with WiFi.
The Targus has a built-in microphone with voice recording capability, a SD card slot and can function as a SD card reader (but not SDHC) with an included USB cable. It also has a switch application button (equivalent of Alt-Tab under Windows) and a scroller wheel. I can't say I've ever needed to use any of these capabilities, since I carry a USB memory stick separately from the laptop bag, just in case my laptop gets lost or dies, and I have a SDHC reader in the laptop bag. If I'm giving a presentation that needs navigation on the screen, I prefer either my Interlink RemotePoint Presenter (thumb stick a little difficult to control but improves with practice) or Microsoft Notebook Presenter Mouse (Bluetooth laser mouse works great, but the presentation functions leave a lot to be desired), both of which are a bit bulky. I also have a GyroPoint Pro gyroscopic mouse, which is a bit difficult to control. I've never needed the voice recording capability.
The countdown timer on the Logitech is great, with silent warning vibrations at the 5 and 2 minute marks. I only wish one could set additional warnings (say at the half-way point or 30 minute mark). The Logitech's case is also nicer than the draw-string bag used by the Targus presenter.
Given the choice between the two presenters, the Logitech is now my favorite.
[I give several presentations a month and am an early adopter of technology.]
Nobody makes my ideal presenter yet, which would be similar to the Logitech but with a few GB of storage on the RF USB stick so one could store a copy of the presentation on the presentation remote. A green laser pointer would be more visible than the standard red laser pointer. Bluetooth would be a nice alternative to RF, although that obviates the need for a RF USB stick.
While mouse functionality would be nice, I've yet to see any remote mouse (other than a real mouse like the Microsoft presenter mouse, which is too bulky to be a good presenter, and the presentation controls are finnicky) that functions well as a mouse. Trackballs, point sticks and gyroscopic mice are all too difficult to control. Given the choice between bulky bad remote mouse functionality and a more streamlined design, I'd go with the latter. 5 of 5 Best I've used! Monday, December 15, 2008 A Customer from Belle Mead, NJ
Great product. I generally have no need for the timer function, but the product's other features work exactly as advertised. Well worth the slightly higher cost compared to other presenters. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great buy - the only presenter I will use Sunday, September 14, 2008 A Customer from New Market, MD
I have used other presenters for my work, and this is the best I have ever used. The receiver stores nicely in the presenter, and when you plug the receiver into a USB port, every computer that I have tried recognizes the device with no problem. The presenter itself has has a timer and can blank the screen - very useful. It's not the cheapest, but a little extra money for this quality product is worth it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Logitech Presentation Pointer Monday, July 28, 2008 Walter from Detroit, Michigan
I have been using my Logitech Presentation Pointer for over a year and I have found this devise to be outstanding. I have forgotten to turn it off and a week later the batteries were still strong. For the price, it cannot be beaten Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Laser Pointer Sunday, July 13, 2008 A Customer from Huntsville, AL
This works great and I love the timer because I always have trouble trying to remember to look at my watch so that I can let my students go on break. Also it does not interfere with the other trainers laser pointers. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 This Thing Works! Monday, June 30, 2008 andytbusiness from Sioux Falls, SD
Stop looking at other presentation options and buy this thing. Believe all the good reviews b/c they're true. The only beef I have with this is that the buttons seem a little cheap, but hey, I paid "cheap" for it on buy.com so I'm not complaining Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 LOGITECH SCORES AGAIN! Sunday, June 22, 2008 Dave from Arnold, California
The more I work with various computer accessories, I am fully convinced that Logitech products are the best. I have purchased cordless mice, computer speakers, keyboards and now this presenter device.
Suffice it to say that I am very impressed with the quality of the cordless presenter. It is easy to install, easy to use and has excellent battery life. I use it to present PowerPoint slides in a church setting and it works flawlessly. This is a simple product to use. There are no complicated things to know. Just plug and play!!! 5 of 5 Sweet Presenter Monday, June 02, 2008 A Customer from Bristol, CT
Great little gadget. You look like the pro controlling your presentation remotely. The built-in laser pointer comes in handy. Definately the presenter to buy! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very useful product Thursday, April 17, 2008 A Customer from Olathe, Kansas
The presentation pointer works very well and is extremely easy to use. The only thing that I could ask for on this device is a stronger laser pointer. Other than that, great product. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Works as Intended Monday, December 03, 2007 OKCITGuy from Oklahoma
We ordered 2 of the Logitech Cordless Presenters to use in our confrence rooms and since the Microsoft presentation remotes are no longer made. The Logitech remote does everything it was advertised to do.
I wish Buy.com would have made it more clear that USPS would be used for shipping, as the physical address I am at refuses USPS delivery. It took 4 weeks to get the products delivered Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Love it Wednesday, November 28, 2007 Nicole from Gaithersburg, MD
I love this clicker. I had the same one before but lost it - and couldn't find the same model in any of my local stores. Luckily, Buy.com had it and this time I bought 2! :) Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Best presentation remote I've ever used Tuesday, August 07, 2007 caknh from Bedford, NH
This little device solved all my problems. It stores the USB controller in the device when not in use, it has a great laser pointer, it does all the powerpoint keys automatically, has a shut-off to save the batteries, and just feels nice in your hand. Never mind the reminder feature, which is cool too. If you do a lot of presentations, this is the best remote on the market! I love it! Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 The timer doesn't work. Thursday, July 05, 2007 A Customer from Fort Worth, Texas
The presenter will certainly be a helpful tool but I was displeased that the timer doesn't work. I should have gone to the office supply store, paid more, but got a better product. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great presentation tool, but pricey Friday, June 29, 2007 A Customer from Torrance, CA
I've used this for two training classes over the last week. The range is great, and the forward/back buttons are easy to use. I really like the timer for running training activities, so I can move around the room and still know how much time is left. Also really like that the USB connector stores in the presenter. One small thing I don't like: the position of the volume button. The first time I used the pointer, I kept accidentally pressing the volume, so I had to figure out a different way to hold it. 5 of 5 ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE Wednesday, June 27, 2007 Pete - IT Support from Westbury, NY
Hooked it up in a matter of minutes and was off and running. No software to install, XP found the USB connector, put the batteries in and powered it on. Worked flawlessly. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Simple and easy to use Wednesday, April 18, 2007 A Customer from Ithaca, NY
We've tried several different presenters for our classrooms, and by far this is the easiest for Students-Faculty-Staff to use. We don't need a lot of fancy features just your basic forward/backward/laser/ability to black the screen. This remote does all that. While we don't use the timer feature, it's been commented that it's nice to know it's there. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Logitech Pointer Wednesday, April 18, 2007 A Customer from Michigan
If you ever have to make a Power Point presentation the Logitech Cordless Presenter USB Laser Pointer, is a must. The wireless controls allow seamless movements. The timer with the vibrating reminder gives the presenter the edge over others when time is a concern. The wireless USB works with any computer.
I was in competition for a job and I used the Logitech Cordless Presenter. My presentation was to be no longer than 10-15 minutes. Others had to walk back and forth to the computer to change slides, taking away minutes and disrupting their train of thought. I used all the features of the Logitech Presenter to my advantage and got the job.

5 of 5 Great Value! Saturday, February 10, 2007 myers.terry from Jefferson City, MO
Excellent product. Easy to use right out of the packaging. I like having the timer, laser pointer, volume control and more right at my fingertips. This makes my presentations stand out from the rest. Plus, it looks cool! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent Choice Wednesday, December 27, 2006 A Customer from Grass Valley CA
I only have to do a few presentations a year and this has made it much easier. The laser pointer works very well as most other devices, the advance buttons work like any other. What truely helps me out is the timer that is built in. I don't give my presentations often enough to have the time frame down perfectly while presenting. Setting the timer and having the device vibrate in my hand to alert me is such a big help that I would not use any other device. Additionaly having the USB reciever plug into the handheld when not in use is great because I can't lose it anymore. I would highly encourage someone to buy this one over any other. 5 of 5 Great USB Presenter Monday, December 18, 2006 A Customer from Blacksburg, VA
It's easy to use. The timer function is good enough to manage my presentation time. I can also use it for adjusting volume while I'm watching a movie on my computer like a remote controller.
One bad thing is that the quality of the case is not the best even it fits to the presenter. Was this review helpful?

A great product: does one thing very well. Worked immediately with Powerpoint on Win XP without loading the Logitech software. Worked simultaneously the laptop mouse and with an external mouse.
The receiver is a very small USB dongle. The receiver itself is stored inside the body of the pointer--slick, plus less chance of misplacing it.
The laser could be a bit brighter but is fine. The count-down timer on the pointer is helpful.
Includes padded plastic storage case.
Overall, I'm quite happy with it. Was this review helpful?

I cannot stress this enough: the timer is an amazing option. I am always a fast talker and the timer has helped me a lot to pace my talks. The design is excellent and it works on all the systems that I have tried. Was this review helpful?

I use powerpoint for all my presentations and am a professional speaker and trainer, so how it works and THAT I can count on it to work is critical! I used my new Logitech presenter last week for the first time with a new client and found it flawless. Thanks for a great product! Was this review helpful?

This product has both high quality and good shape. I'm a business graduate student so I need to present bunches of ppts. This presenter has met my needs. Especially, the timing function is awesome. I could measure my presenting time more efficiently!!
If you're looking for a presenter for presenting in class, I strongly recommed this one. Was this review helpful?
2 of 2 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Well Worth the Price Tuesday, September 12, 2006 A Customer from Chadds Ford, PA
For people who conduct PowerPoint presentations, this is hard to beat for the price. I have five of them in use with my company and all of them work as designed 100% of the time (which I couldn't say about a VersaPoint Communicator Remote that I previously tried). And they work well to a range of at least 50 foot. I've used two of them in separate rooms only "feet apart" with no interference from the device in the other room (the receiver and "clicker" seem to be a matched set, probably with some unique programmed code). The timer feature is of dubious benefit but the other features are what are most commonly used by presenters.
It is important to remember that this is NOT a wireless mouse. For example, If the PowerPoint contains links that you need to click (i.e., a link to another document), you can't do that with this device.
One final warning, the receiver, which plugs into a USB port, looks like a USB memory stick (as do the receivers for most of these types of devices). Twice I've had people leave a meeting with the receiver thinking it was a memory stick. On one of those occasions, I never found out who, which rendered the "clicker" useless. 1 of 2 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Absolutely perfect tool Thursday, September 07, 2006 phundal from San Francisco, CA
I work in sales and I am in the position of doing group presentations and trainings frequently (several times a week). I can't stress how incredibly useful this tool has been for me. Between the ease of use (no software to install), the built in laser, and (most importantly) the built in timer, I receive complements all the time on the effectiveness and quality of my presentations.
If you are looking to un-tether yourself from your laptop, improve the power of your presentation, and ensure your presentations end on time, this is your only solution. Nothing else compares, and you won’t be disappointed.

I used this presentation laser pointer/ remote control flawlessly on both a Win 98 and WXP machines this week without a hitch. It installed and was recognized right off the bat. It was easy to set and easy to use. The timer that vibrates in your hand at 5 and 2 minutes before the end is a great touch. You can also control volume, start the show and black the screen. If it had a trackball mouse it would have been a grand slam. Was this review helpful?
