4 of 5 I love buy.com Wednesday, December 27, 2006
A Customer from Cedar Falls, IA

I earlier ordered the same item from Circuitcity.com, their price was little bit higher, couldn't ship me the item in specified time and their customer support was not so good. So I cancelled that order and immeditely bought it from buy.com. Well I am still waiting for my refund from circuit city, my order arrived within 3 days of ordering and am already using the product. Product came in good condition and met my expectations. the support from Linksys was best, I was able to resolve an issue (not with ethernet card, but my cable modem) by calling linksys.

5 of 5 Best NIC card for novice install Monday, September 13, 2004
A Customer from St Cloud, Minnesota
I was recently put in charge of IT for the company I work for and just completed a total system redesign. Many of the workstations that I was forced to "limp along" for another year had slow 10mb cards in them. I upgraded all workstations rgeardless of NIC speed to these linksys cards and never had a single problem. I have tried almost every brand of NIC card out there; 3com(junk!), intel, dlink, etc... These are by far the easiest NIC cards I have ever installed. Save yourself alot of time and trouble and give these a try.

5 of 5 Excellent (after installation trouble) Tuesday, November 25, 2003
John M. from Seattle, WA
I have Windows 98 and I decided to switch from USB to Ethernet to support my cable modem (with comcast service) because of reliability issues with Win98's USB support. I wish I had added ethernet capability before rather than struggling with weird Win98/USB performance glitches (and money on a comcast service call and buying USB hub to get extra ports which I needed to add the cable modem as a USB peripheral...) Comcast recommended ethernet especially for Windows 98 first edition, although after seeing the excellent results I would choose ethernet over USB 1.1 to support a cable or DSL modem regardless of the operating system. I should mention that the installation was a struggle in my particular case. I don't think it was the fault of this specific product but apparently due to a resource conflict with my NVidia TNT video card. When I tried to fix it, everything went crazy - system couldn't recognize the DVD drive, video card, monitor or anything else and reverted to a basic "safe mode" configuration. When I deleted all the peripherals from device manager and forced windows to re-detect everything it was OK. Overall, a fine product at an excellent price.

5 of 5 Beautiful Saturday, June 14, 2003
A Customer from Novato, CA
Works great. I did not have the problem another had mentioned about ruining a slot. Careful insertion was all it took (instructions say the card is "built to resist slot insertion" ... can't really figure out why since that would be its lot in life). Set up was a bit dodgy. Machine recognized new hardware before the startup had completed so I could not load the drivers as the instructions stated. But, after startup was complete, I loaded the drivers, restarted the machine, and everything then set up the way it was supposed to. Recommend you do one more restart after everything is done. I knocked off one point because of the set up problem but other than that minor item, this thing is working great.

4 of 5 Good Quality, Great Value Monday, March 04, 2002
dmicro@primemail.com from Dayton OH
This card has great compatibility with most PnP motherboards and OS's. Low CPU usage and great support from Linksys. I have had some defective units (4 out of 70) over the last two years but overall I highly recommend this NIC.

5 of 5 The Best Nic Friday, February 22, 2002
A Customer from Georgia
This is one of the best Nic's I have ever dealt with. After trying one out a few years ago, I have now bought several hundred for setting up Lans and Wans. Its ease of installation has to be one of the best features and you can't beat that price.

Very easy to install, program and use. Fast 100bt or 10bt. OK - the scoop is - I have bought and installed somewhere around 200 of these for my clients. Never a problem, never a failure. These are easy!

4 of 5 Very Good Card Sunday, January 06, 2002
Nic nd@who.net from Detroit
I have version 4.1 of this card. I've now seen version 5.1 on the market and wonder if I'd notice any improvement. 4.1 works well with Win98se and Win2000Pro. I haven't tried it with Linux, but expect it will perform well. I bought this card (well, actually two of them) for $25, less $10 instant rebate, and less another $10 mail in rebate from Linksys. About $6 each, including tax. I've heard that it's not the best card around, but it works very well. I don't know of a better card. I hear 3COM has a good one, 905c or something like that, but it retailed at twice the price. Also, SMC sells good cards that rival this one, and may even be better.

5 of 5 Great NIC for Windows Friday, December 28, 2001
A Customer from Carson City, Nevada
This network card is excellent. Windows 98 installation was simple. I used to save a few bucks and buy $10 NICs, but never again. Works especially nice with the Linksys Cabel/DSL router...

5 of 5 Outstanding Product Saturday, October 27, 2001
Manny from Jackson Heights, NY
This NIC is a great buy. Have purchased 4 already for friends and systems I have built. Easy to install. I have tried other cards from other companies, but none has given me the ease of instalation and zero conflicts like Linksys does.

5 of 5 Great compatibility and price Thursday, October 11, 2001
Silvio Thomas from San Jose, CA
Easy setup on both Windows and Linux makes this a great choice for an inexpensive PCI card. I have had a lot conflicts with other cards on Linux but got this one working with no problem on Red Hat and Mandrake. Came right away when I ordered it too.
