My son got this 6 months ago for his 4th birthday, and was hooked immediately. He still loves it, though still doesn't really "play" the games, just plays with the pen and buttons and watches the stories on screen.
It is perfect for those who are transitioning out of regular naps but still need rest time every day. I let him take his l-max to bed and play quietly.
Its only downside is that there aren't a lot of games for the preschool age kids. I'm sure that will change in time. Was this review helpful?

This handheld game is incredible. My son picked it up Christmas morning and has barely put it down. The games are easy enough for him to understand how to play but challenging enough to keep his attention.
Overall the game has a good design and is well built except for the TV plug attachment. The cord plugs into the game at the top and is very susceptible to being easily bumped or bent. Come on LeapFrog.... this game is meant to be used by kids ages 4-10, couldn't you have come up with a better design? Recess the plug or put a plastic guard around it?
Other than the TV plug issue I would recommend this game to most all parents for the educational value. Was this review helpful?
