5 of 5 Simple to use and Solidly Built Tuesday, March 20, 2007 Jordan from stl, Mo.
My primary intent was to buy a sturdy USB flashdrive that wouldn't fall out of its case like the last one I bought. The Kingston drives (this one is no exception) are solidly built and have that 'quality' feel about them. The ability for the cap to snap onto the keyring is nice so you don't misplace it. The lid fits snugly and I don't worry about losing it. There's no 'wiggle' with the circuit board it is secure in the casing. Also the ridges on the sides make removing it from the computer easy and helps me recognize it when digging in my pocket.
Overall I am very pleased with the drive and definately recommend them to anyone interested. Was this review helpful?

The USB drive works just fine, although heavy users might find it to be a little slow, but otherwise no problems as such. Took a long time to get shipped, but I guess that could be because of the popularity of the product given the fact that there was a mail-in rebate on it when I bought it. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 At $0 cost - What a deal Thursday, February 15, 2007 dlinzo from Beaverton Oregon
As far as I'm concerned, a travel drive is a travel drive. They either work or they don't. These worked. Yes, there are better constructed cases but at $0 cost, I could not pass up this deal. They over charged by three times to begin with at $27.00 each (I got 2),since 2 weeks later they are $8.93, but then they give you a $27 each rebate up to two, so it only cost you time and effort and a $0.39 cent stamp. It had free shipping at the time I bought them. You have to make sure you print out the rebate form at the time of sale because that goes away as soon as the special is sold out or the promotion is over. Also print out your invoice at time of sale (most of these companies don't except email order confirmations or packing slips and no other invoice is ever shipped).
I'm putting my trust in Buy.com that they will make sure that their merchandise partners give their customers the rebate owed in the 8 to 10 weeks. If they don't I will be blasting them on epinions.com and resellerratings.com. If they do come through, you will see my prase there. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 A great product to travel with Thursday, February 15, 2007 A Customer from Melville, NY
No problems at all. It works perfectly under Windows XP. It comes up as a drive in "My Computer" and can be treated as any mass storage device. No setup required. It is a convenient and much better replacement for floppies to take files back and forth between work and home, without having to e-mail them. One thing that I experienced under Windows XP is that if you have drives D: thru F: already used up, it does not come up automatically. You must disconnect one of those drives, then that drive letter would get mapped to this device.

5 of 5 GREAT! Thursday, February 15, 2007 A Customer from Golden, CO
3 years ago I paid $100 for a 256MB USB-1.0 flash drive. This one has double the capacity, it is insanely faster, the cap snaps on the back which makes it harder to loose, I didn't have to download any drivers (had to do that with my previous one), and this one was free with rebate. My only criticism is that my old one had a flashing LED that let me know when it was reading/writing. That was a nice feature, but I can easily live without it. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great Buy Wednesday, February 14, 2007 A Customer from Fairfield, CT
With the rebate that was given for this product, I bought 2 and got them for nothing. I have been using them (so far I have only needed to use one) for taking work home with me. I actually worked at home today because of the snow storm. Was this review helpful?

Just plug it into a USB2 port, XP detects it, and you have a 512MB drive ready to use. The only caution needed is to click on an icon in the tray before your disconnect it. I'm quite satisfied with the unit. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Thanks for Nothing Wednesday, February 14, 2007 A Customer from Richmond, VA
Two compliments for this product:
First, the ability to store so much information on this handy flash drive is phenomenal.
Second, Buy.com offered it at '0' cost after the on-line rebate. Postage was even paid if I agreed to wait for snail mail to deliver it.
Hope Kingston and Buy.com stay in business. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 a good one Sunday, February 11, 2007 A Customer from Iowa City, IOWA
This USB drive is very easy to use and helpful. Since the rebate I don't need to pay a penny to buy it. I think that's the most important reason why I buy it. Only one thing I wasn't satisfied. I waited for about 2 weeks to receive it. That's much longer that the average delivery. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Definitely a good value Sunday, February 11, 2007 A Customer from MA
Until I read another review I didn't realize the cap slips onto the back of the drive. That ups it in value in my opinion. The price was definitely right with the rebate. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 It works Saturday, February 10, 2007 johngaston from Fullerton, CA
This storage device works just fine. I couldn't go wrong with a rebate deal that made the device essentially free (except for the sales tax.) I use these storage keys everywhere so when I can pick one up for next to nothing why not just do it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Don't know how I lived without it! Saturday, February 10, 2007 A Customer from Long Beach CA
I used to carry my accounting and personal info in my bag on a floppy disc, which first of all has such limited space, I had to be choosy with what I could keep saved. Second, discs go bad so often, I had to resave and resave each time a disc was busted. With this data traveler, I can keep 1000x more data - pics, music, documents - and I don't have to worry about it breaking like a floppy. I can't believe I didn't get one sooner! Love it! No problems at all. I bought this product to store the backup files for my QuickBooks program. It works perfectly on the G5 Mac. No setup, no software. I just took it out of the package and plugged it into my computer and started saving files. For my application, it does exactly what I need it to do. Was this review helpful?

I just got the flash drive today and so far it is great! The neat thing about this flash drive is that the protective cap fits on the back (the blue bar in the picture) while you are using the drive. That will definitely help me to not loose the cap. Was this review helpful?

This storage device is just great, though it works little slow on regular USB ports. The only problem I had is the cover of the device. The cover is made of hard plastic which cracks on little pressure and also you might loose it too often as it is not attached to the main body. Kinston should rethink about cover design and it connectivity with the main body. Was this review helpful? Click here to see all 52 reviews
