5 of 5 Great Value in a Flash Drive Sunday, March 16, 2008 A Customer from Slingerlands NY
Works as advertised. Very easy to use. Very handy to transport files from one PC to another. Highly recommended, especially at this great price. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Painfully slow Thursday, March 06, 2008 A Customer from Franklin, IN
I can't help wondering if the rest of the reviewers have used other flash drives. This drive is painfully slow. At it's best, it still take more than twice as long to write to than another, much older, flash drive I use (Sandisk 1GB Cruzer Micro - SDCZ4).
For the price it's acceptable, but if you've used higher-quality drives, this one's gonna frustrate you.
Apart from the speed it's a typical flash drive, no other complaints. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Overall a good purchase. Sunday, March 02, 2008 A Customer from Mountain View,CA
The original was defective. It wouldn't format and I couldn't copy files onto it. I called Kingston customer service and they e-mailed me a return authorization for FedEx. The return was handled promptly and the replacement works fine. I give the overall rating a 4 only because of the annoyance of replacing a defective product. Kingston's customer service was first rate and I would gladly buy another of their products. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Kingston drives rock Friday, February 22, 2008 A Customer from New Windsor, NY
I'm an IT specialist and use thumb drives all the time...the Kingstons are excellent, fast, durable, straight forward drives. No wasted space with security software or partitioned junk, just a solid storage drive. I have several Kingston thumb drives of different sizes for different purposes, have been using them for almost 2 years...never an error, always fast, always reliable. Buy.com...always a great price. Definite recommend. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Good gadget, cheap shell Friday, February 22, 2008 kc from Fort Worth, Tx
This thing is wonderful for data. The disappointment is a name brand like Kingston chose to make the keychain loop out of plastic. It broke the first time I put my keys in my pocket. Otherwise I haven't had any problems or issues with it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great drive for school! Thursday, February 21, 2008 middle school teacher from Scotts Mills, OR

5 of 5 Happy with Flash Memory Wednesday, February 20, 2008 A Customer from Anthem, AZ
Ordered two of these flash drives. Arrived very quickly. Just about filled them up so my next order will be with greater storage. But for the quick run to the library or other location that you need your files, these are great.

5 of 5 Gets the Job done Monday, February 18, 2008 Cricket from Wall , NJ
I have been using this Flash Drive to store auto cad drawings. The Flash Drive has performed perfectly thus far after numerous file saves and file recalls. I purchased 2 . This is a good $ value product. Keep an eye out for the prices on 2G drives though, it may be more feasible to purchase a 2G so all your portable storage is in one place. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Kingston Data Traveler 1 gb USB Monday, February 18, 2008 Jim from Minneapolis Minnesota
This was a great buy. The only thing that could have been better is if they had a light that would activate if drive is in use. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good Value Monday, February 18, 2008 Dennis from Seminole, Texas
It dos what it's supposed to do, but the cap does come off too easily. If you're considering the Data Traveler that slides out and has no cap, I bought that one, too. Here's the difference: The "cap" kind is better suited for a key ring. The "slide-out" kind doesn't have a cap to lose, but it's not so great on a key ring. In fact, the only way to put it on a key ring is to use this little nylon string that has a tiny ring attached to it that can slide onto the key ring. It works, but I just don't know how long the string will last, or if it will get tangled with other pocket stuff. So, if "keychainability" is important, I'd go for the older "cap" style. Otherwise, I see no difference in performance. Was this review helpful?
