Starting at 4GB, SDHC cards offer larger-volume data storage and optimized recording performance with support for FAT 32 file formats. In addition, Kingston’s SDHC cards use new speed "class" ratings known as Class 2, 4 and 6 that deliver a minimum data transfer rate for optimum performance with SDHC devices.

Although identical in size to todays standard SD card, the new SDHC cards are designed differently and are only recognized by SDHC host devices. To ensure compatibility, look for the SDHC logo on cards and host devices (cameras, camcorders, etc.).

I bought this for my video camera. It works fine in lower resolutions but crashes at 1:32/1:38 mark on 1080 HD. Other 8 GB cards work fine. It might be a compatibility issue.

8GB SD card for this cheap is an unbeatable deal. I bought two of these for my digital photo frame. Works like a charm on my Philips. Coby doesn't recognize it however - not sure if Coby has a size/SDHC limitations.

It's not the fastest card, but the 8GB size is more than adequate for my needs. I use it as a backup card when i go on vacation and i fill up my very fast 2GB card. Now i don't have to take my laptop with me when i go on long trips.

This card holds a large space, runs at good speed and comes at decent price. I had planned to use it with my MIO GPS unit, but I learned that my Canon Digicam already holds 1GB SD. So I swapped them and now my GPS has 1GB and canon has 8GB. In canon, this card can give me an estimated space for 500+ pictures at a resolution of 10MP. Good value for money.

I use mine for data storage and a Nikon Coolpix L3. Both the camera and the Targus USB card adapter had no problem dealing with the size or SDHC format. I'm surprised in regards to the camera as it is an older model but seemed to work just fine.

When I bought this card, I had read all the available info. I needed a backup for my music and pictures that offered easy retrieval. I knew it would work in my new notebook and not in my Kodak 33 or HP printer, so I was very pleased with the performance. If you expect it to work in most SD slots, you will be disappointed. This was the most cost effective storage for this purpose that I could find. I am very pleased. I recommend this item.

What much can one say about a memory card? It works. Out of curiosity, I compared it speed-wise to another Kingston card I have that is Class 6, and at least in my camera (Canon SD850IS) if there is any difference, it is negligable. I've never had a problem with a Kingston card...then again I've never had a problem with any brand.

Our 2GB SD card was almost full on our Nikon S50, so instead of cleaning off that card, I bought this one before our vacation. I installed it and right away it said I could do 3hr 44min of video. We have 600 pics and videos on the card and it says we can do 1500+ more.

Works great out of the wrapper. Make sure you have SDHC reader. Old/regular readers only address up to 2GB max. I have no problem with all Kingston memory products. Buy.com always has good deals from time to time. Can't beat $15 for 8GB SDHC. Used to pay close to $200 for 1GB more than a year ago.

I ordered the Kingston 8 Gigabyte High Capacity Storage Card. It arrived at my home very promptly. The price was way below what I would expect a card of this memory capacity to cost. I put it in my Canon S5-IS and took a few test shots. Its very fast and holds more pictures than I could possibly hope to take. My camera is very memory hungry, when it takes video at high resolution/frame rate. Now I don't have to constrain my picture quality because of storage limitations. I would highly recommend this storage card for anybody who has an HCSD compatible device.

However, my camera also takes the SDHD, I discovered, and it was nice to not have to worry about running out of room before I got home from our cruise with K-LOVE! Great price for a lot of memory!
