I am a science teacher. My desktop computer is in clear sight about six feet away from the SmartBoard I use when introducing lab work. I thought this would be great because it also had a laser pointer. Much to my dismay I found it has a range of about two or three feet. Also, the button controlling the laser goes back to default mode (music player) after about 30 minutes. To put it mildly, it is useless to a teacher. If I still had the packaging I would send it back to Buy.com and that would be a first.

Other than the laser pointer having to be enabled, this product works well. The only down side is if you forget how to enable the pointer or lose the directions, you'll have a hard time getting the laser pointer to work. It's not the most intuitive design from that stand point...especially if it will often be shared with co-workers. Was this review helpful?

The remote is compact, easy to use, and effective from across the room. Plug and play feature is great. Laser pointer is bright and the side wheel for advancing and reversing slides is positioned well. Having curser control is a nice feature.
I gave a lower score on value only because I can't rationalize why a wireless mouse can be bought at one-third the price of this remote control. Was this review helpful?

This remote has made teaching much easier. It has allowed me walk around the room while I present information instead of having to sit or stand close to my desk and computer. It is very easy to install and remove. It's small and easy to store or take with you. It took a little practice but once I used a few times I got used to the buttons. Was this review helpful?

I searched all over the internet for remotes that could be used with PowerPoint after my old one became obsolete. I compared price and functionality of many different devices, and gave this one a shot. I was glad I did. I teach at a high school and use PowerPoint for 5 hours a day as a way to lecture, and this works great. The mouse function is easy to use, and the slide advance/retreat button on the side works great. The plug and play capablility makes it extremely portable. The battery hasn't died on me yet, and I've used it about 20-25 hours/week for the past six months. AWESOME PRODUCT!! Was this review helpful?
