2 of 5 Cheap, but doesn't work well Monday, July 14, 2008
A Customer from Tacoma, WA

Cheap price (I got it on sale at a lot less than the current price), but doesn't work very well in major metro markets, where the FM band is crowded.

1 of 5 GARBAGE Saturday, July 12, 2008
A Customer from Norwalk, CT
this is the worst FM transmitter I have ever had. The signal coming from it is so week that when i put it right on top of my home theater system it still won't come in clear. It constantly cuts out and isn't worth a dime. Forget about trying to use it in a car too, i brought it in my car thinking that from some miracle it might work better there, not at all. don't buy this transmitter, it really is GARBAGE!

1 of 5 Have yet to get it to work... Saturday, July 12, 2008
A Customer from ATL, GA
I bought this for my wife because she enjoys my FM Transmitter (VR3 USB/SD/MP3 Player/FM Modulator Transmitter) I bought a few yrs back. I thought why not look for one that will work for her in her car. This one looked great, you just plug it into the Nano directly without having to use the cigarette plug in the car. Looking at the price (half off sale) it was a no brainer, and the reviews appeared good. I got it and tried following the instructions which seemed simple enough...yet it will not function i.e. play to programed stations.

5 of 5 FM Transmitter for iPod Friday, July 11, 2008
A Customer from Pipe Creek, TX
It does exactly what it says it does perfectly, and clearly as long as the iPod isn't too far from the FM. Then there is some static.

5 of 5 nice addition... Monday, July 07, 2008
A Customer from PA
This adapter works conveniently well with any ipod, as it is small, wireless, and easy to setup. Tune your radio & the adapter to the same unused frequency & with one push of the button, you're good to go. Not only that, but you can use the adapter for any FM radio (not merely a car radio, as is the case with the wire adapter). The only downside is occasional but slight interference if you interrupt the infrared transmission & the ipod battery needs charging slightly more often, but overall, it's an excellent value for the technology.

4 of 5 Performs well in certain circumstances. Monday, July 07, 2008
Scott Ferguson from Dallas, TX
I was surprised by how small the unit is. It clips onto the bottom of my Gen2 nano with little fuss, drawing power from the player so it needs no charger or batteries. The sound quality is excellent! I have used other FM transmitters before, and none were this good. The problem is that you have to keep the transmitter very close to the radio for it to work. (obviously this range is dependent on the radio and antenna you're using). If I pull it a food away from the radio to select a song to play, it rewards me with massive amounts of static, sometimes to the point where I can't hear what's playing. As soon as I put it back in the cubbyhole underneath the radio, it sounds great again. So I'd advise this only if you won't be fiddling with the iPod a lot, like if you're going to use playlists, play entire albums, or maybe books on tape. If you're the kind of person who likes to choose and play one song at a time, all the noise might get frustrating.

1 of 5 FM transmitter is the product of dream? Monday, July 07, 2008
A Customer from Holliston MA
tried several times and never worked. confirmed my past reading about FM transmitter. went back to iPod to cassette in the car stereo set up. I haven't reviewed in the past. However, felt the need to share my experience. to illustrate what is happening, my old 2001 Saab 9-5 has good reception of FM station in Providence RI. Obviously, car antenna is working for the station 30 miles away Why the manufacturer claims it works inside the car? Don't buy.

Small, light weight, transmits rather clearly to receiver. Controls are a little difficult at times, but a good overall purchase for iPod users.

4 of 5 My opinions Monday, October 09, 2006
kenny from Los Angeles, CA
I bought this little gadget a little while ago. So far its working pretty good. I use it mainly in my car w/ my Kenwood headunit. A little bit static w/ low volume, doesn't bother me much. The product does what the manufacturer claims, so I'm satisfied. Drains the battery on my NANO, which I expected it to do. Simple to use and disconnects easily. Its also a gift worthy item to give.

5 of 5 WOW Wednesday, June 07, 2006
A Customer from St. Cloud Minnesota
I just want to say my piece on this wonderful device. Let me tell you, I was very sceptical on buying any FM Transmitter, but when I did this is the one I got. I have a couple of friends that have FM transmitters for there IPods and they don't sound that great on the radio. I am very impressed with this one. Thanks you Kensington and thank you Buy.com!!!!

5 of 5 Perfect for my Nano! Thursday, April 27, 2006
A Customer from Carlsbad, CA
I've used wireless fm transmitters before, but they all pretty much didn't work. My friend has a Kensington fm transmitter (different than this one), which I was impressed with, so I took a chance on this Pico unit. And wow! It fits so perfect with my Nano that I don't even notice it's there. And the sound quality is great! I've only used it in my car, so I don't know the range if you use it in your home, but I'd recommend this Pico transmitter to anybody who is looking for a great looking fm transmitter that actually works!

2 of 5 The good, the bad... and the ugly Tuesday, April 25, 2006
disapointed from Phoenix, AZ
***The good- This unit looks great on the nano, it's very small and acts as a part of the unit, both visually and functionally. I was really happy when I opened the package and hooked it to my iPod. ***The Bad- as expected, it impacts battery life pretty hard. I'd say cutting it in about half. This is acceptable, but not great. ***The Ugly- I have read the other reviews saying how clear this unit comes in. It doesn't, at least for me (2006 Nissan Altima, radio stations come in crystal clear). There is always at least a little static, more often then not a lot of static. It's worse at lower volumes, making it almost impossible to listen with anyone else in the car if you plan on chatting too. I could have just used my head phones if I never wanted to share the experience with anyone. My feeling is, there is no good FM transmitter for iPods, don't waste your money. Anyone that cares about sound quality at all will hate this product, and any other ones I have heard used. If you have a cassette player, get an adapter that works with them. They sound great. I have tried every frequency on the radio.
