2 of 5 Kensington Liquid FM disappointment Tuesday, March 04, 2008 A Customer from Oklahoma City area
I bought the Kensington Liquid FM transmitter for my IPOD because I like the thought of displaying the song title and being able to have a cable connection long enough to be able to have choices as to where I stored the IPOD while driving. I found out that the Kensington is extremely sensitive as to how the cable is stretch out as to whether or not it broadcast the FM signal without static. I found that the FM transmitter uses the cable to transmit the signal and the cable had to be stretch out to the maximum length to get a clear signal to my FM radio. The antenna on my Thunderbird is a wire in the center of the front windshield and is less then three feet from where the Kensington is located when connected to the IPOD. Moving the wire just a few inches meant whether or not I got a clear signal.
Using the Kensington on my 300ZX with the antenna on the rear right fender the signal was to weak for it to broadcast correctly. On the Maxima with the antenna built into the rear window work ok if you position the cable just right.
Disappointed in the signal coming from this FM transmitter. I am also disappointed in the amount of information displayed on the Thunderbird radio as compared to listening to a real FM station or a compact disk.
I DO NOT recommend this product.

1 of 5 Find something better Monday, February 25, 2008 wiggins2497 from Minneapolis
I bought this transmiter for my Grand Caravan and received it promptly and in good order. The problem was that it transmitted very poorly on the available stations. I returned it (refunds not allowed on electonics) and received another transmitter that did not function well at all. I am now stuck with $50 worth of electronics that may (or may not) play iPod music in the backwoods contry where available radio frequencies are plentiful. My advice - but a cheaper tape deck converter and avoid the headache. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Love it! Sunday, February 17, 2008 A Customer from Atlanta
I have had a few transmitters before but this one is excellent! I drove from Atlanta to Orlando and was listening to my Ipod through this all the way and it was great! The best one I've had. Love the design and everything. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 This is not the way to got! Tuesday, February 12, 2008 flightsey@gmail.com from Bostic, NC
I wanted to use my iPod in my RV and this seemed like a good option by when I tried to use it I got a lot of 'crosstalk' from the FM stations and the music I was trying to listen to. I tried all of the recommended frequencies and got basically the same results. Only when I am in my garage (where I cannot receive any radio signal did it work reasonably well. I use a tape deck cartridge in my car and it works very well. Shame. Was this review helpful?
