4 of 5 Works good with Vista Monday, May 04, 2009 A Customer from 64772
Works good with Vista when the Vista driver is installed. The driver is included on the installation disk and is also available at Kensington website. I had no problems syncing the three different types of devices that I utilize with my laptop. One minor problem- the adapter fits too tightly in the USB port making it difficult to put in and remove. 5 of 5 Good Value for laptop Bluetooth Saturday, September 29, 2007 A Customer from San Francisco, CA
I ordered this item to use with my new Treo 755p to perform wireless synchs. The price is middle of the pack, but it's a recognizable brand and I got mine with a rebate. It comes with software to hook up your laptop to virtually any kind of Bluetooth device. The software wasn't too well documented and I was new to Bluetooth. For example, although the software provides connections to PDAs, my Palm Treo does not use the software to synch at all - it requires only that the software configure a virtual Bluetooth serial port which I figured out how to do. I was also able to pair my Plantronics Bluetooth earset to the laptop for telephony use. Was this review helpful?

There aren't many choices for USB Bluetooth adapters and so my options - this one worked. A word of caution though - if you're running Windows Vista like I am - getting this card to work is not an easy thing to accomplish - nor is it technically "supported" by Kensington.
I was impressed by how small this adapter is and how good the range is - My office is directly above my garage and when I pull into the garage, my bluetooth cell phone immediately begins synchronization with my desktop computer in the office. Simply amazing. Was this review helpful?

I use this to sync my Smart Phone with Outlook. The speed is ok for moving smaller files to the device, but is on the slow side when copying large files like MP3 or video. That said, I am not sure if the speed limitation is my device or the Bluetooth adapter. Moving file when connected via USB is very fast. Was this review helpful?

I again am impressed with Kensington. The Bluetooth dongle installed with no problems and did exactly what I needed it to do. Was this review helpful?
