It is an amazing tuner in a small portable package. It works as claimed. The setup is very simple and intuitive. The compact antenna is fairly powerful and the video adapter can be used for a video camera. Overall, it's a great product for the cost.

I wanted a flat screen tv for my kitchen, but it's hard to find a 19" for less than $200, so I bought this and moved my computer to the kitchen. It works great, and setup was pretty easy. I didn't read the manual yet.

This item was easy to install and use. For the price its a great way to turn a laptop or PC into a TV. I have enjoyed the portability of the device. It allows me to take it to work or on the go so I can watch live or recorded TV shows. Only downside is that it can store only 1gb of data. You can also plug in other av sources such as digital cameras. Over all I think I got a good bargin on this device.

Bought it from a Fry's Electronics store for $29 after rebate. Have used it with 3 computers without any problem. All three computers have Windows XP. All three computers are way below the minimum system requirements stated on the box, but they just work. Computer 1 is a Compaq V2000Z laptop AMD Turion 64 1.8 MHZ CPU, 500 MB RAM, Computer 2 is a home built AMD Athlon XP 2000, 500 MB RAM, Asus ATI 9000SE video card, Computer 3 is a Great Quality AMD Sempron 2400, Albatron NVidia 6200 video card, 384 MB RAM. Both software and hardware are stable and work without a hitch. The small antenna that comes with the tuner also works very well. I was able to receive all major HDTV channels broadcasting in Houston (ABC, CBS, ABC, FOX) when I was in Galveston (about 50 miles away). You can also use WatchHDTV software to lower CPU overhead. The analog TV channels do not work well, and therefore are not recommended. By law all television broadcast stations will stop broadcasting analog TV after Feb 16, 2009 so it should not be an issue anyway.

This tv tuner was doa right out of the box. After 2 hours of trying i could not get the tuner to pick up the channels on my cable tv coax line. Not only that, the software locked up my pc several times and the only way to recover was to pull the plug. My computer is 2.6 Ghz quad core cpu with 2 gig of ram, so the problem was not a whimpy system. Needless to say I will be sending it right back. Im very disappointed in Kworld after reading the good reviews. Never again.

KWorld is well known of not honoring their rebates and Buy.com is no help in this regards. So if you are going to buy any KWorld product, do not count on getting the rebate.

I was impressed with the quality of pictures on the digital channels on my notebook computer, but I cannot figure out how to tune in both the analog and digital channels simultaneously. Also, I was pretty upset when I learned that I must buy a $20.00 warrenty to get any customer support help from the manufacturer because I bought it from buy.com and not a computer retailer or straight from them.

I had a proplem with the install, but the email fix worked. I havn,t had a big chance to use it. It does need a better antenna than comes with it, unless you close to the towers.

My machine exceeds the manufacturer suggested system requirements and the installation seemed to go fine. The channels scanned and the setup wizard completed fast, however the product did not generate any video or audio. When attempting to exit the program, Windows XP could not end the program. Worse case scenario was complete when there was not contact information in the product manual, software help or on the box. I found the company web site and went through a lengthy detailed description of my machine and several other questions, only to have the form email rejected by their server. I located a local office and telephone number of KWorld, and of course no one answered. At the prompt for tech support I left a voice mail describing the problem, but no one called me back. Only choice is to return the product. Very disappointing after reading good reviews of it.

I purchased this product after reading the review. It just worked for a day and burnt out next day. I was regret to cut off the UPC code for the rebate, otherwsie I could return it. DON'T BUY IT, it is not worth to try!

This TV tuner does what it's supposed to and with the software, provides for an all around pleasing TV experience. With the provided antenna I got 23 digital/ATSC channels, more than I knew existed. The analog OTA reception is pretty much useless, but that's not the draw of this product anyway. About the software, there is a bug that turns the chroma of the digital channels out of whack (everything is green/magenta) when closed caption is activated. Not a big deal but hopefully fixed in future revision. Also, the quality settings (Hi, SP, LP, EP) are irrelevant when recording digital video - what you get is pretty much whatever the quality of the transport stream is; about 80Mbps for 720p or 20Mbps for 1080p. A curious option in the software is input for 'ATSC cable', or QAM, which is not a feature advertised for the hardware.

If you're looking for a quick and easy way to receive your local "over-the-air" DIGITAL TV channels - This is the baby for you. Not a single glitch with software or hardware installation and operation! The graphical user interface is more than VERY VISUALLY APPEALING - it's downright fun! ...And it's VERY easy to "figure out" and navigate. This seemingly small receiver/decoder packs quite a punch. It actually found several digital signals in my area that I did not even know existed! And of course with digital signals your picture is either 100% perfect or not there are at - so no need to worry about ghosting. It's a great product!

Received the tuner 2 days ago. It works as claimed. The ASTC tuner works great with the supplied digital antenna. The channel scanner pick ups almost every digital channel in my area as my Sony HDTV. The analog tuner works as well with a decent portable antenna. The setup is very simple and intuitive. The setting can be reset as needed and save anew. HDTV features are similar to any HDTV set plus recording capabilities. It appears to have lots of a/v project potential. The picture on the DIGITAL is sharp and color vivid and bright. Overall, great product at a fraction of an ASTC tuner cost!

<p>I was skeptical about buying an unrated Kworld product, but I've been very pleased with this. <p>Here's the trick to making sure you have a good experience. Make sure you turn on Hardware Acceleration (and that you have a decent amount of video memory available). If you don't you'll get stuttery performance. With Hardware Acceleration turned on, however, video was smooth as silk, even at full screen. <p>I have a core duo 2400 laptop with a nice video card and have not tested it yet with a single core machine, so I don't know how performance would be affected. <p>The ArcSoft application that comes with it is very easy to use. Setting up channels is a breeze. It has a nice photo viewer slideshow, and it even has some simple editing tools for recorded video and photos. I had to search a little to find the Hardware Acceleration option, but that's my own fault, as I also did not read the PDF manual on the disk. <p>The antennae could be more powerful, I suppose, but I wasn't expecting anything miraculous as a pack-in. <p>It's nice that they included a video adapter, so you can use other sources, such as a video camera, game system, etc. I hooked up my Gamecube, and there was no lag between button presses and game response on the screen. I am very pleased with this. <p>The adapter does get a little warm in use, but nothing to really be concerned about. <p>Overall, it's been a great purchase.
