What You Will Get in the Poly-bag:
Headset
Quick Start Guide
AC Charger
Note: There are no additional earpieces included in the poly-bag. Jawbone is the world’s first adaptive Bluetooth headset for mobile phones. Its revolutionary Noise Shield technology combines the latest innovations in acoustics, audio processing and product design to produce a quantum leap in headset performance.
Designed by the renowned Yves Behar, Jawbone takes mobile style to new heights. Jawbone's perforated shield curves to match the outline of your face while the inside surface is made from medical grade plastic to provide a soft and smooth feel on the skin. Jawbone can be worn on either ear. Jawbone's ergonomic design enhances acoustic performance and keeps the device lightweight, stable, and comfortable.
Not only does the Jawbone technology virtually eliminate all background noise from your call, but as your background changes it also seamlessly adjusts the speaker output so you can hear your caller’s voice better. Jawbone’s intelligent system of sensors, software, and ergonomic features allows you to use your mobile phone in any environment without shouting or straining to hear. The result is a clear, uninterrupted, and productive conversation.
Jawbone identifies your speech: A proprietary voice activity sensor identifies precisely when you are speaking, in any noise environment. Unlike other headsets, Jawbone can easily separate your speech from other sound nearby.
Jawbone eliminates noise: Jawbone uses highly directional microphones and powerful signal processing algorithms to remove background noise from your ongoing speech signal. This allows you to be heard clearly in any environment without the need to shout and disturb others around you.
Jawbone automatically enhances incoming audio: The volume and frequency content of the incoming speech is dynamically adjusted to maximize intelligibility in any noise environment. No matter where you are, Jawbone will adapt to your environment.

1 of 5 Is this the REAL product or knock-off? Thursday, June 25, 2009 Troy from Elgin, OK
I ordered two last week. Right out of the box, the first one wouldn't even charge up. And, it had a scratch on the side. Hmm . . . Is this new?
The ear piece on the second one broke off on the first day of use. Wow! I've owned several different brands of bluetooth over the last 5 years. This is the first time I've had one that was this fragile. Guess I shouldn't be so trusting that this is the genuine product. Hmm . . . Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Work Great Thursday, April 23, 2009 A Customer from California
I already have a Jawbone that I use for my work phone. That is why I purchased one for personal cell phone. It works great, keep back round noise to a minimun and audio is clear. I would give it 4.5 out of five stars. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Nice headset Tuesday, April 21, 2009 A Customer from Olathe, KS
The noise-control system in the jawbone works exactly as advertised. I tested it as I was driving and talking to my wife. I kept turning up the stereo asking "can you hear me now?". None of the music came through -- just my voice. It was like magic. When I had the stereo almost all the way up, she said she could just barely hear some music.
It's a little hard to get it onto your ear while driving, and the fit seems a little loose -- there's a little plastic nub that MUST be in contact with your cheek. It always feels like it's about to fall off, but it hasn't so far. Was this review helpful?

I am not sure if this was original or fake but this is the worst sounding bluetooth I have ever owned. I adjusted the earlobe adapter so it could fit on my other ear and it broke. I own Plantronic, Jabra, Blue Ant and Samsung bluetooth devices and they all sound ten times better than this Jawbone. I know this has been mention with other products but it sounds like your speaking through a tin can! I heard so much about this product and decided to purchase it but was greatly disappointed. Poorly made the ear piece broke off the first day I recieved, the sound quality is horendous overall a bad product. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Jawbone #1 Monday, April 13, 2009 Michael J. Garner, SR from New Orleans, LA
I have had at least 25-30 hands free devices over the years. This inexpensive original Jawbone is the simplest, to use and the charge last for days. I have an touch phone which I tried to pair with 3 different devices and got nowhere. The Jawbone was simple and terrific. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Great price but fits kinda weird Monday, April 13, 2009 A Customer from Orlando FL
OK so maybe I have deformed ear canals but the Aliph Jawbone doesn't fit as well as I expected. I bought the one that came in the polybag thinking it was exactly the same as the retail version minus the box. And for all intents and purposes it is.
My only major grip is the rubber ear piece doesn't fit so well. I placed the entire unit on my ear and it began sliding about. I had to reconfigure it all together and place it on the other ear (which fit better but still slides a bit). There is only one ear hook, which is fine because it is interchangeable.
A minor gripe is that I still have some volume problems with the device; it seems a bit quiet at times. Also, it picks up ambient noises still (like my AC), which it was touting you don't hear as much. When the unit arrive, it was a bit dirty from previous use which was gross. A few wipes of isopropyl alcohol did the trick.
Overall not a bad unit, but I am glad I did not pay full price. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Works great, stays on good. Monday, April 13, 2009 Chris from Lafayette, La.
I like the way is stays on your ear(eather one) and works great at taking out the background noise, but with no carring case it can be a little hard to walk around with it. I would rather a case or carring pouch to carry it instead of leaving it in my ear. Again, it is hard to beat in a vehichle with the windows down. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 1 of 5 The item I received was worn and non-useable Saturday, April 11, 2009 A Customer from Issaquah, WA
The one I received was obviously used. There was wear on the unit (where you would press to turn it on/off). Other people have commented the ones they received were used/refurbished. The seller listing this as new is misleading.
Also, this unit normally comes with different size earpieces, so you get a good fit in your ear. This is important for two reasons - one, the ability to hear callers, and two, the microphone uses vibration from your cheek - which requires a good fit of the earpiece. Since you only get one earpiece with this one, you won't get a good fit unless you get lucky and the one earpiece you get is the right size for your ear.
If the earpiece is the right size, or if you happen to have extras, I guess this would work well, and the value and performance marks would be higher. But since neither of the above was true for me, it's pretty much unusable (besides being a refurb instead of new). Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Outperforms the new Jawbone Saturday, April 11, 2009 JTB from Michigan
I purchased one of the new models of Jawbone. Almost everyone I talked to asked me to talk on my phone not through my earpiece because it sounded like I had something covering the mouthpiece. I returned it and found the original for sale here. I bought it immediately because I had just broken my first jawbone. It works. People no longer ask me to stop using my earpiece. And I bought it at a great price. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Jawbone Headset (in Poly Bag) Saturday, April 11, 2009 Rob from Pensacola, FL
The headset came in a plain bag. No real extras. Only one ear piece and only one ear wire (right). If you have larger or smaller ear canals, then you'll need to buy an accessory kit.
Right out the package, the headset is easy to use, but awkward to place on ear the first few times. Once you figure it out, then it becomes easy. You'll need to bend the ear piece wire to get a better fit. Good sound quality in a sleek design.
Although I wish it came with more ear pieces, it was a good deal at that price. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good sound quality decent comfort usability somewh Saturday, April 11, 2009 A Customer from Cambridge MA
I purchased the Jawbone mostly because it was a good enough deal, so I decide to try it out. The sound quality, noise cancellation are pretty good. Comfort is also good. My only objection is that the ear hook is not too easy to put on with one had while driving.
Easy of use leaves much to be desired. The single cycling volume button instead of up and down volume buttons is inconvenient. Also the buttons require you to press down hard so if you're wearing it it digs into your ear pretty hard while you're holding the button down. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 average value buy Saturday, April 11, 2009 A Customer from gaithersburg md
somewhat bulky design and difficult ear-fit. The refurbished unit battery appears to not hold a charge for long (need charging often). The jawbone noise isolation works compared to other brands/smaller-design (e.g. motorola) with dual mic for noise canceling. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Less than Expected Saturday, April 11, 2009 A Customer from DeWitt, MI
The volume on this unit does not go high enough to be heard in busy areas such as stores, airports, or noisy highway conditions. The lack of accessories, striped before shipping, leaves you with few options. Otherwise this unit works as described. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Nice earpiece... Saturday, April 11, 2009 MLM from Hartford, CT
good sound, good value, but (and the listing was very clear) they normally come with four different earpieces and four different ear loops, and this one comes with one of each. I am lucky that it fits fine, but you might not be. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good deal on jawbone Saturday, April 11, 2009 A Customer from Detroit, MI
The jawbone gives nice clarity of sound and blocks external noise. My husband paid about $100 for his, so this was a great deal. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good earpiece without the accessories Thursday, April 09, 2009 JD from AL
I bought this earpiece as a replacement for one that I purchased a year ago and lost. Works just as good as the one that I paid $110 for early last year. Comes with standard size earloop and earbud, so if you need a different size of either of these, you will have to buy an accessory kit (which can be the same price or more than the earpiece itself). I had spare earloops and earbuds from my previous earpiece, so it was no worries. Great sound quality, adjustable volume control, and noise reduction, hence the reason I replaced the lost one with the same. Considerably larger earpiece than most, but with an added accessory kit, it will fit any size ear. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 4 of 5 As good as I had heard... Monday, April 06, 2009 Steve M. from Austin, TX
Had been watching the Jawbone since first released to market, but I'm not much a Bluedoofus so I waited. And waited. And waited. There is a reason teh prices don't go down often...spectacular performance.
One design caveat is the rubber earpiece. Not very well suited to secure into the ear cavity but you can find a few nice aftermarket ear molds available to fix this.
The refurb reached me within the week. The silver was a bit worn from previous use...but easily overcome by a sprayign of matte primer and matte sealer gives me a nicer looking flat black Jawbone. I'm pleased. You will be too.
