4 of 5 Good Value Sunday, February 20, 2005 A Customer from Eugene, Oregon
Finding a 12 cup coffee maker that used a stainless steel thermos is not that easy of a task. After searching, I decided to give the Iron Chef a try.
I've been very pleased with this unit. First of all, it does not have a glass lined thermos. Those type tend to break on me. Additionally, it does not have extras (like a timer/clock) that I never use.
The thermos doesn't keep the coffee the hottest in the world, so if you like very hot coffee after an hour or two, you may be dissappointed. If you use the thermos to measure your water and pour into the coffee maker, the last little bit is hard to get in due to the shape of the thermos. Also, the filter that came with it isn't the best (but I use paper ones anyhow).
All in all, I think it's a good value. Was this review helpful?
