After buying one external drive that my DVR didn't recognize I returned it and bought this one and it works great. It expanded my ability to store movies, sporting events and TV shows greatly whereas before I was constantly running out of space. Easy to set up and it works with my DVR box automatically so there's nothing you have to do. Problem solved. Was this review helpful?

We have a Time Warner DVR I bought this for my husband for Christmas so that our DVR would not delete items that we just couldn't watch in time. Thankfully my soap operas that were the biggest problem are a problem no more! He installed it with ease and we can record at will! Was this review helpful?

Works with my Time Warner cable box and it has allowed me to increase my space and not worry about having to erase something or transfer something to dvd. HD programming takes up a lot of space and it was always a problem with the dvr that Time warner offers.
My only concern is if the power goes off -- do I lose everything? since the power always has to be on. Otherwise, thumbs way up! Was this review helpful?

This is a great product. Set up took a couple of tries but was relatively easy. It's only a matter of turning everything off and plugging everything back in. It didn't take upon the first install. Unplugged everything read the instructions and approx. 15 minutes after plugging it in it increased storage. The % used before installing the DVR expander was 58% afterwards it was 19%. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to expand his or her DVR memory. Was this review helpful?
