I don't think I can get anything better at $20. I got an iPOD touch - and it was not fitting. Clipped the small plastic bits by the dock and now it works great!

I have owned this product for over a year. It is great for traveling and taking your music on the go. I've used it on vacations on the beach as well as around the house when painting, etc., when you don't want bulky speakers in the way. The sound it produces is very good, and the battery life is pretty decent. What's even better is that when the unit is plugged in, it charges your ipod, which is great for travel because you don't have to carry a separate cord or charger if you don't have your computer with you. It also has a hard cover for the face and is very compact for traveling. I got this on special from buy.com at a fabulous price. Had I known how good it was I would have bought more than one to give as gifts.

well worth the 19.99 I paid for it. I own three mini MP3 player speakers including one by creative and one by saitek all in the same price range and the Altec Lansing is the best. you would think it's not good for anything but a tiny room;but I had the system playing in my locker room at work which is about 25' x 25' with 20 foot high ceilings and it sounded great and received many compliments (not loud but clean and crisp). audio on a system like this will fail when there is background noise. but after a long hard day at work it's fantastic to have good, clear tunes while you taking a relaxing bath.

I saw this unit on Altec Lansing's web site for $129.00. I then saw it on Buy.com for $31.00. I bought it and it came in two days. I would have been furious if I had paid $129.00. The unit plays like a $30 radio, no better, no worse. It is small and portable. It is exactly what I wanted.

These speakers are the ultimate in convenience and sound. Use them with my Creative Zen M 30 GB. The speaker cover becomes a tray to hold the speakers and lay the mp3 player. I use a cable to connect the Creative Zen from the headphone outlet to the external input port of the speakers. The sound is pretty impressive for such a small speaker. Volume is controlled through the mp3 player. Its great for a desk top, dorm room or any place where space is limited or want the speakers to be portable. Can't beat the price. Paid $17 for the 1st set, but loved them so much I was willing to pay $32 for my daughter to take to college this fall. There is spatial differentiation to get stereo effect. I currently use them at work and the sound fills a 20 x20 space.

This product is great jut for setting up in a room, bathroom, or kitchen to let the chill jams flow. If you have a party of more than 5 it probably would get drowned out, but it is great for just on your on and letting the music fill your room.

For the size, these speakers are excellent. Not much bass of course but very clean and clear sound. There are two little tabs, one on each side of the ipod dock that limits the size ipod to the old ipod mini but you can dock any ipod by cutting or filing them off.

After reading the other reviews, along with the fact that this is a Altec Lansing product I was confident that it was a good choice. Once I got it I was really impressed with this little speaker system. Keep in mind that it is used on my desk while I work and Im not trying to fill a room with sound but it is remarkable how good these speakers sound. I would defiantly recommend them to anyone.

Have had these speakers for 2 years and I have given them quite a work-out and a half on the road. The sound quality and durability of this "little" portable system would be hard to beat - Altech Lansing at its very best.

Very good sound quality .. Close to perfect ... Especially good to enhance your laptop volume if you want speakers occupying lesser space instead of going for full fledged speakers with bass. I want to take it to India and was thinking of sending an adapter too. But, it has got all kind of adapters attached with it which makes really comfortable to carry anywhere in the world.

LOVE these speakers... I use them for everything, traveling to the beach, poolside, even as speakers in the bathroom when Im taking a shower.. They power off of either the Adapter, or batteries, so its really useful for everyday use. Actually when its plugged in with the adapter, it will charge your ipod for you, so its a great option when your traveling and dont want to carry 50 million accessories for your music. This is actually the second one I bought, got it for my dad to use also for when he travels... These can actually be used for every iPod. works as is for the nanos and minis... but only thing keeping it from being used for all other models are these two little plastic knobs sticking out next to the port.. they're really simple to just shave off with a blade, and ta daa! its ready for all. Also, a good plus is when your using it with batteries, the power light will change colors for when the batteries are about to die, useful for gaging how much battery life you have. They get pretty loud, useful for most environments, but dont expect it to be loud enough to use for parties, or any excessively loud events (ex. beach on a holiday!) I would definitely order again... but P.S. you might wanna wait for the price to hit 20 bucks shipped! then its really really worth it!

Its really a cost effective and sleek looking product. I really love it. I permanently attached it with my Laptop since sound quality is better than laptop speakers. One good thing is all possible types of plugs are included in the pack. I would love to rate it 9 out of 10.

I bought this item as a christmas present for my daughter and found it to be such a great value that I had to buy one for myself. This unit is very portable and sounds great, a perfect item to bring on vacation (small and light), pool side or the beach. For those of you that have a "classic Ipod" be aware that the jack on this unit accomodates the classic even though it claims to be for the Ipod mini. Merely remove (grind down) the two tiny plastic ears that restricts access to the Ipod jack to the Ipod mini. Also, the unit will accomodate any MP3 player via the included audio cable. For the price if you lose this unit or forget to pack it in your luggage for the return trip home you haven't lost a great amount of money.

It is very smart looking and easy to use. The only negative is the lack of high volume. But for the price it is an outstanding value for the office or home. I even ordered a second one as a gift.

These are small little speakers good for the price. There are two little problems 1) the ipod does not sit at the back of the speakers and kind of keep hanging, which is not good for the long life of the ipods input port, it might wear out or get damaged soon. 2) I wish if it came with a remote control, so you don't have to keep pushing the ipod to operate it. overall satisfied with it

Perfectly compact. I take it home and to work daily. It will even operate off of batteries if you want it to. Sound quality isn't the best...I mean it's not a Bose or anything, but, for the price, it's pretty good. I can hear it pretty well even over the shower and fan in my bathroom.

It's very portable and it produces decent sound all things considered (what do you expect for 19.99-30.00). If I had more money to spend, I would have bought the JBL On Stage which has better sound.

I happened to purchase this when it was on sale for $20.00....and let me tell you...IT'S AWESOME! Very nice sound for the price. I am so happy I purchased this speaker for my ipod...it makes getting ready in the mornings and putting on my makeup much more enjoyable :) - My 4-year old son also loves it!!I am also very happy with how easy it is to use as well as the sleek look of it and stereo sound. I'll not repeat all the other reviews. Wonderful performance. My only issues are that the construction is a bit flimsy and they don't include a carry bag for all the accessories that come with it. That said, for the $19.95 (and shipped free) I spent it can't be beat! P.S. If Apple changes the dock connector on the next generations of iPods this unit will lose a lot of its functionality if you wish to upgrade to a new one. However, you will still be able to use it using the connection cord (rather than the dock) which is supplied.

I bought this for my daughter as a simple way for her to share her music when she was out. She actually prefers to dock into this speaker system rather than the computer, and just leave the music on. The sound is very clear for small speakers. You won't rock the house, but you'll appreciate the design and functionality.

Great sound. Compact size. Charges iPod while docked. After trimming the two nubs opposite the dock connector, works with my Nano, Mini, and 4th Gen 20GB.

Bought this as a gift go the Ipod nano that my wife has. She loves it!! it is light portable and it also charges while it plays!! My wife has it allover the home now!! Its portablity, helped me add a notch to out post holiday bubble bath with barry white playing in true digital sound!! Wink!! Wink!! Service from buy.com was outstnading as usual! This is my second Altec Lansing product this one and M604 for my Zune) that I have purchased from BUY.com and both the units have been impressive. This unit is very portable and has the option of being powered by 4 AA batteries, it also comes with a removable front face plate cover. Knowing what I know now, I would have been more than happy pay full price for both units, but I am glad I didn't have to. This is also an ideal gift for all iPOD owners.

I bought this product as a Christmas gift. My friend owns a I-POD and she was always plugging it to the TV or her Radio so we could listen to her Greatest Hits. Now she can plug it anywhere. Has fantastic sound. very portable, light weight. Great Price.

I found this a lot more useful than I anticipated. The bass and volume on this unit is really impressive and it's really perfect for toting around my iPod in the bathroom and shower in the morning as well as listening to podcasts while making dinner. This works great with my iPhone and my second gen iPod Nano, so don't think that it's just for the original iPod mini. There are two tabs on the base where the iPod seats onto the connector that are easily trimmed with a box knife so that you can fit most of the thinner iPods. Battery life is good, they lasts a couple of months and it has a aux input so I can use it when my laptop speakers just aren't enough. I own two, bought two more as Christmas gifts. Get 'em while you can as these are probably closeouts due to being marketed as Mini speakers.

Very impressed with the sound from these compact, cleverly-built little speakers. Add to that the terrific price and it's a steal. I honestly believe that if they weren't being sold "for iPod mini," they could go for twice the price. Note: the 2nd gen Nano's fit fine in these but there is a very tiny space between the back of the Nano and the cradle, causing it to lean back slightly whenever the jog wheel is used. The movement is so small, it probably would not affect the cradle at all. For people who are bothered or concerned by this movement, it could be fixed by applying a very thin, small foam pad (not even the size of a dime) to the cradle behind where the Nano sits.

I am not an audiophile. The sound was as good as my regular stereo. It is worth every cent. It's compact with a loud sound. I don't know from bass or hooters and tweeters. I know I like this item, it is small, neat and does the job. You won't be disappointed.

I am delighted with the performance of this speaker system. Had some concern if it would work with my new Nano, since I had put it in a protective case. The case permits access to the connector and the earphones, but unfortunately did not permit it to sit on the inMotion connector. There are two small protrusions that come from the base of the part of the stand where the connector protrudes that were getting in the way. This got my McGuyver juices going. If I removed the ridges it looked like a clean fit. Hmm, how to remove? Toe nail clippers (the scissor type) had enough pressure and cutting action. It works perfectly with the case in place, and the unit charges the Nano when plugged into AC.

I'm listening to it right now and love it. I'm using it with a nano and it works great (although I did have to take my nano out of the extra protective case that I normally keep it in). I also use it with a small AM/FM pocket radio, which plugs in using the provided cable, connecting the radio's headphone jack to the products "audio in" jack. Great design. Reasonably good sound (great sound for the price... I suspect for $300, you could get better...) Power is either AC with provided adapter plug or batteries (not provided). Nice to have the option.

This little speaker setup sounds great! We use it w/ my wife's Nano & I was very impressed as it has surprising bass coming from such a little package. We keep ours in the kitchen and it fills the kitchen & dining room with great sound. Throw some rechargeable "AA" batteries in it and you've got yourself a nice little "boom box" to take with you too.

I bought these speakers to use with my video projector whose speakers are very weak. Although this set-up is meant for the iPod, it can be used with any MP3 player. They are great for my purpose, they're light and compact. The fidelity is O.K., and they fill my 8x10 room. The price was great and they suit me to a tee.

Nice product, good price, nice sound quality. Only for use in a quiet room without external noise. My Ipod Nano really pushed the speakers, but I guess it is what it is. For the price, I would buy it again.

Great product for the price. For a small stereo the sound is crisp and clear with a decent amount of bass. Bought it for the study and it's perfect. Small enough to fit on a desk or bookshelf yet the sound will fill the room, and not with tinny or baseless sound. Recharges the ipod too. Excellent product.
