5 of 5 Outstanding Product Monday, August 13, 2007 TL from Atlanta, GA
I use it as an adapter for transferring photos & video clips from my digital camera to various computers. I love it's small size and overall simplicity (No cords needed, no bulky 10-in-one type reader with formats I never use). Worked out of the box with both MAC OS-X and various flavors of MS-Windows. Price is great, I bought two so I always have one with me on trips.
Only room for improvement would be captive caps but then again maybe they would then make it bigger or get in the way when plugging it in USB ports. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Just what I needed... Monday, July 16, 2007 srshellsrs from Wheeling, IL
After purchasing my digital camera, I needed a way to get photos to my laptop with speed and ease. This product does everything I need it to. I wish it didn't have caps for the ends, but it's not enough of a bother to affect my rating. If you need a speedy reader, this one does the job well. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very Satisfied Friday, June 29, 2007 A Customer from Reston VA
You can get better deals on Ebay but nothing is more convenient and reliable than buying these kinds of things through Buy.com. This is really the way to go. Forget the USB cables. It's easy to just pop out the SD card and pop it in the card reader. Was this review helpful?

2 of 5 Handy, but not as fast as advertised Thursday, May 31, 2007 cuttinge from Forest Ranch, CA
I tried to transfer files from my hard disk drive to the first unit I bought and received multiple errors and transfer rates were very low. After talking to IOGear tech support I returned it to Buy.com for an exchange. The new one works better, but I still don't get transfer speeds anywhere close to 480Mbs, more like 200 or less. It is a modern computer with USB 2.0 so the issue is with the IOGear unit as straight flash drives are quick. It's cheap enough, but I would go with the Kingston unit if I could have exchanged for it. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 A great Device! Wednesday, April 18, 2007 A Customer from Seymour, Indiana
I had an extra SD card laying around I wasn't using in anything, when this USB card reader caught my attention. You plug in an SD card, and this basically becomes a USB Thumbdrive. Its great, and very easy to use. Just stick in the card, and plug into your system! It's great! Was this review helpful?

Anyone who has a device that uses an SD card of any size will find this SD reader/writer a valued addition to their digital arsenal.
Plug your SD card into this slick SD reader/writer, then plug it into any available USB 2.0 port and you're ready to transfer at rates anywhere from 2-3 times as fast.
Although a very good value for the money, the price could always be a little less expensive.
Highly recommended. Was this review helpful?

I recently purchased a new digital camera and needed a new card reader as my other two were for different sized digital cards. I'm somewhat new to the small USB storage jump drives. I don't even know if I'm using the correct terminology here. What a surprise that I could actually slide my digital card into this jump drive, plug into the USB port and view my photos. I'm not overly computer literate, but one doesn't need to be to use this device sucessfully. I strongly recommend this product. Was this review helpful?

I bought this for my wife as she needs a large capacity jump drive. She already had couple of drives with limited capacity. The best part of the drive is that you just change you card and you have more storage. And also you can store you data in several cards and keep with you and you can access them whenever you need. Some small design problems are associated with this article like you might loose the caps of both ends. The designer should improve these thing to make it the best in the world. The bottom line..I am satisfied with the purchase. Thank you, Buy.com for great pricing on it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 SD Memory Card Reader/Writer Tuesday, September 19, 2006 EPM from New York, NY
Awesome! This is really a "jump" or keychain drive--it's that tiny--holds a ton of photos and even video. Most useful item I've bought in a long time! If you're like me you move photos around from work to home to laptop etc. This makes it a snap.
I highly recommend it. It's a fraction of the size of most card readers and no wires--just plugs right into USB port. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works great but one caveat Friday, September 15, 2006 MB from Greer SC
I love my Nokia 9300, but transferring music or ebooks to its MMC card seems to take forever. This gadget solves that problem. The transfer rate seems to average ~45mB/min, so I simply load up a card & put it in the phone when I need it.
One warning: The inserted MMC card can get "scrambled" if it's inserted next to a Bluetooth USB adapter. However, the Iogear allows an easy reformat, so not a big deal. Best to (at least on my PC) remove the Bluetooth adapter when accessing this gadget. Was this review helpful?

I bought this reader to write to an SD Micro card for my new LG
phone. It works great for getting pictures on to the computer without having the expense of sending them through the net and it works great for putting music, etc on the card for the MP3 player feature. Was this review helpful?

Extremely well made and comfortable to use. This product is just what I was looking for. You can put it into the USB port and change the memory cards without having to remove the unit. Inserting cards is extremely easy compared to others that I have tried. I would recommend this to anyone considering a thumbdrive. It is more universal and allows expandability as SD Digital memory expands. Now I can purchase a 2gig SD media for the price of what I paid for 1gig. Was this review helpful?

The reader is both recognizable in Mac OS X environments as well as Windows 2000/XP/Vista environments. I tested the device with various SD cards from 16MB all the way up to 2GB...worked perfectly; very sleek and compact. IOGear's USB SD Reader is a niffty little product at a great price Was this review helpful?

I love my IOGear GFR202SDW6. I put a 1GB SD card in there, and it worked right away. Unfortunately, I loaned it to my son, who liked it so much he won't part with it. The prices are so great at buy.com, I'm just going to buy myself another! Was this review helpful?
