3 of 5 Neat - but Broken Monday, July 28, 2008 Lori from San Antonio, TX
I think this recharger is really cool - and it worked fine for about 3 weeks. Then the battery pack got fowled. The connector seems to be loose and broken. I didn't subject it to any rough abuse... just didn't like to be used as much as I was using it, I guess (my phone batter would not take a charge, and I was using the battery pack for about a week while waiting for a new phone battery to arrive). So the little battery has turned into a brick. However, the cables and tips still work great as one charger for all my devices. I've got a USB to wall plug cord that I use and I can charge everything (one by one) using this kit. So it's still not a wash. Just wish the battery still worked. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Very handy Monday, July 28, 2008 A Customer from Albuquerque, NM
Does NOT charge an iPod Touch...but that's not buy.com's fault.
Otherwise, extremely nice. Holds a lot of charge for a long time. Was this review helpful?

3 of 5 portable power product Wednesday, July 02, 2008 Gregg from Waukesha, WI
The Good: very compact battery system with connectors. I bought for use primarily with a Nokia n800 internet tablet. The unit charges off of a PC's USB port in about 4 hours. The battery system includes circuit protection (overload and short-circuit, I believe).
The "not so good": the furnished connector for the Nokia doesn't fit real tight. Also, the ad says that the Iogear product will charge a cell phone three times before needing recharging. It only charges my n800 once before recharging.
In summary, it's a fairly good deal for what I paid ($20 incl shipping). Was this review helpful?

I bought this device to use as backup power for my electronic devices that are plug-compatible. It is advertised as a 'battery charger' but curiously does not indicate that it could be used to provide supplemental power when the device is out of its own battery power. I assumed that it could provide backup power in lieu of the device's internal battery. Why not? While it's charging it should also power the device. It does provide backup power for my Palm Treo, but will not provide power to my Apple iphone and sends my Mio GPS into a charge mode where I cannot use it for navigation while this device is connected to it. So, it's ok for powering my Treo when its battery is low. I suppose it's worth it for that alone but disappointed that I can't use it on my other devices. Was this review helpful?

PDA tip doesn't fit my Palm PDA (Palm TX); nor does the tip for the ear phone bluetooth accessory work with my Verizon ear phone. One tip, of all provided fits my cell phone and can recharge that for which I am grateful. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 4 of 5 Great product. Invaluable in times of need but has Monday, June 09, 2008 Khameinei Ali from Washington, DC/Ventnor City, NJ
Firstly, the main devices I tested the power pack were a Nokia N75 smartphone, an Nokia N800 Internet tablet, and a Tom Tom One GPS unit.
Now down to the nitty gritty. The device works great it charges pretty quick and has a decent amount of battery capacity. I could probably stretch 2.5-2.8 charges on my N75, about 2 charges onthe N800, and maybe 2 or a little under on the Tom Tom. The pack saved me numerous times from battery failure on long trips and powered my GPS on a long trip home (which was crucial) because I had no idea where I was. Basically, this pack is very very useful. It is very small and ligh as well. Just shove the little pouch in your backback or glovebox, briefcase, purse, etc. VERY HANDY. That being said despite its usefuleness it tends to be poor at charging other devices. For example while charging any of the three aforementioned devices the charge indicator on the devices would go on and off. It seems to supply an inconsistent poweroutput sometimes. This problem is eliminated or nearly eliminated if the device is completely stable. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good product Wednesday, May 28, 2008 A Customer from NY.NY
The build of this item seems good and it's really strait forward to use. The only con I can see is that when i use it to charge my htc6800 smart phone, I only get one and maybe a half charge out of it. Otherwise great product. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 a waste of money Tuesday, May 27, 2008 vjbanis@verizon.net from Martinsburg WV
The item did not work with my phone. Non-returnable. A waste of money. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent Monday, May 26, 2008 Jim Reyes from Morristown, NJ
One charge was enough to provide power back to two cellphones, one Bluetooth GPS receiver, two (cellphone) hands free headsets, and my iPod.

4 of 5 Does what is says - good value Wednesday, May 21, 2008 heathkitt@yahoo.com from boca raton, fl
Runs my Sansa View playing video for 5 hours or more on a plane. It might run a week on just audio. One problem with the design is all the tips you have to keep track of. You need one tip when running the device and you must save one to use when charging. This means using the bag to hold all the tips, when the unit could have been designed to charge simply from a mini USB input.
One fix is to put heat shrink over both the charging tip and end of the provided cable, to keep them from getting lost - and call that my charging cable. Then use the device's USB cable to power the device. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Seems to work fine with Zune Monday, May 19, 2008 A Customer from GI Ne
I was looking for a battery to make my Zune last longer on long flights. Although I have not tried it on an extended flight yet I have connected it VIA the USB port and the Zune goes into charge mode and the device seems to charge the Zune just fine. I've also purchased the Motorola tip for my cell phones and that works as well. Time will tell if it's the perfect travel charging device but it's small size are a bonus. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Very Handy! Saturday, May 17, 2008 Lbravo from San Antonio, TX
This little guy works with just about anything! I have a RAZR phone, a Nokia 810, and a Sony Ericsson phone, and this came with adapters for everything in my kit. I wish it came with a wall charger, because it's got to be recharged from USB. Still, it's rescued me more than once in two weeks (a new RAZR battery is on order), and it does do at least three recharges per charge. Nice. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Works, but... Saturday, May 17, 2008 A Customer from San Francisco, CA
The product does indeed work as advertised, but is a bit flimsy in construction and I wonder how long it will last. I was able to charge my cell phone, headset and iPods with not problems. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Doesn't work for me Wednesday, May 14, 2008 A Customer from Madison, WI
I have two problems with this item: 1)It will not charge my Nokia phone - the phone displays the error "not charging" and 2)The connector for the Samsung phone will not even fit into my daughter's Samsung phone. There is a full compatibility listing on iogear.com. Check it prior to purchase (although it does say my Nokia is compatible, so it may not be fully accurate). Was this review helpful?
