It’s very simple. When you talk about the best sports movies of all time, there is Hoosiers, and then there’s everything else. Hoosiers stars Gene Hackman as Norman Dale, a former successful college coach with a checkered past, who takes a last chance job coaching small Hickory High in 1951. His soft shooting touch does all of the talking. Dale doesn’t endear himself to the locals, dismissing the team’s interim coach and a player in about two minutes during his first practice....read the full review

5 of 5 #1 High School Hoops Movie Ever!! Wednesday, February 16, 2000
Nick from Massachusetts
This movie brings back the fundamentals of basketball that have long been forgotten in this age of slam dunks and money making. The Farmland of Indiana is an ideal place for this movie to take place. It's a must see for old-time hoops fans!
