This work--based on a popular episode of "Sex and the City"--educates otherwise smart women on how to tell when a guy just doesn''t like them enough, so they can stop wasting time making excuses for a dead-end relationship.

Annotation:
A consultant and story editor from the hit TV show SEX AND THE CITY tell you what's really going on in a man's mind when he's apparently sending out mixed messages about his feelings for you: HE'S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU. According to this humorous but intensely practical self-help guide, men avoid telling women that they're not interested in them because men hate messy, emotional confrontations. However, their actions are fairly screaming their interest, or lack thereof, and women need to pick up on that, dump the losers, and move on to the real, fulfilling relationships that they so richly deserve. This book torpedoes every lame excuse a woman makes for a boyfriend's bad or indifferent behavior. A man who's interested in a woman will move heaven and earth to be with her. If he won't call you, he won't ask you out, he won't propose, or he disappears entirely, wake up and smell the coffee: HE'S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU. As featured on OPRAH and NBC's TODAY SHOW. Winner of the 2005 Quill Award in Health/Self-Improvement.

Chapter One: he's just not that into you if he's not asking you out

Because if he likes you, trust me, he will ask you out

Many women have said to me, "Greg, men run the world." Wow. That makes us sound pretty capable. So tell me, why would you think we could be incapable of something as simple as picking up the phone and asking you out? You seem to think at times that we're "too shy" or we "just got out of something." Let me remind you: Men find it very satisfying to get what they want. (Particularly after a difficult day of running the world.) If we want you, we will find you. If you don't think you gave him enough time to notice you, take the time it took you to notice him and divide it by half.

Now you begin the life-changing experience of reading our book. We have put the stories we have heard and questions we've been asked in a simple question-and-answer format. If you're lucky, you'll read the following questions

5 of 5 Laughed ourselves silly Friday, July 07, 2006
D. Hayden from Maryland

We took a 8 hr car ride and this Audio Book found its way into the car's CD player. I have never so fully enjoyed an 8 hr drive nor have I managed to listen to something the whole trip that actually found me becoming closer to the other occupants of the car while we discussed what we were hearing. We spent the weekend repeating the silly catch phrase, "Don't waste the pretty." And we broke into riotious giggles at IHOP when three of us shared some of the pearls of wisdom from the book with an English chap who had played in the same tourney as the three of us girls. I would reccommend this book to every person on the planet who has ovaries and/or wears high heels. While being lively and funny the book also hits on some key issues. The CD can pick up and dust off the confidence of even the most jaded and emotionally bruised person with humor and straight shooting.
