I purchased this device almost a year ago and have swapped it out with several others like it. This device make absolutely NO difference what-so-ever in your signal strength and does nothing to boost the signal in your office or home. Hawking does make some good devices, but this is NOT one of them. Don't waste your money. Look at their website for the professional wireless solutions if you feel you need a product like this. 5 of 5 Great Product Thursday, September 27, 2007 dragonstonejohn from St. Johns Arizona
I am very happy with my antenna! I must bring to everyones attention that you MUST make sure the connection is FIRMLY attached. I was very careful not to tighten the nut too tight, only to find that it wasn't tight enough to make proper contact. Needless to say it didn't work for squat, but once I discovered my oops! and tightened the connection properly, VOILA! It works GREAT! AND is extremely easy to use! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works well and is inexpensive. Thursday, September 27, 2007 A Customer from New Jersey
It was easy to install, low cost, quality construction and it increased the range of my wifi network. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works better then I thought. Tuesday, September 25, 2007 Julius from LaGrange, KY
This antenna really works. I had problems getting my laptop to connect out in the back yard. Now with the antenna my signal reads very good and my speed is as good as if I were in the room with the router. Make sure that you have all your router security set up because this baby extends your signal quite far.
Buy.com is great on shipping. FedX not good at reading addresses. Was this review helpful?

1 of 5 VERY, VERY Disappointing Purchase Monday, September 24, 2007 A Customer from Midwest, USA
I purchased this high gain ant. in hopes of boosting the coverage and signal strength of my wireless access point. I downloaded some trialware software that measures the actual dBi rating, strength in mW, etc. I took precise measurements BEFORE and AFTER attaching this device and it made literally ZERO difference. If there was ANY difference AT ALL, the signal may have even gotten a little WEAKER with this device attached. It's not a paper weight on my desk. Very disappointed after being SO PLEASED with Hawking Tech's HSB2 signal booster. It works incredibly well, but cost a LOT more. Don't waste your $$$ on this device. It will not make an OUNCE of difference for you. Was this review helpful?

No difference in signal strength over existing antenna. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Seems Worthless Wednesday, August 01, 2007 DougL from Santa Fe, NM
I just connected this to my TRENDnet TEW-432BRP Wireless Router and a few quick checks indicate that the signal strength is barely equal to the original 2dBi antenna that I replaced. I should have checked the similarly negative reviews at Amazon.
The antenna moves up and down on its base so it can sit on a desk or be mounted on a wall. All the picures show it angled back slightly, but the instructions don't mention if there is an optimal angle. It is supposed to be omni-directional so I shouldn't have to point it in any particular direction. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Waste of time/money Tuesday, July 31, 2007 Treefrog from VA
Made no improvement to my wireless signal. Tried it in 2 different locations and two different WAP. Not even the slightest improvement in signal strength. Can't imagine what the quality checks are for this device... Was this review helpful?
