The good: It was easy to set up. I wanted to get digital TV signals from a roof antenna for a regular TV that has an auxiliary (composite-yellow, red, white RCA connections)input. The set-up instructions were clear. I had the HD10 auto select the stations and then I selected the 4:3 viewing ratio that cropped the sides. The image was great!
The bad: The HD10 has an auxiliary input for your DVD player. After playing a DVD to test it, I could not get the input to return to the tuner mode. The unit was defective and I had to return it. Also, a feature listed in the BUY specifications is wrong. It has no NTSC signal capability or pass through! The ViewSonic box does NOT list anything about NTSC. It would be a nice feature to have during this analog/digital transition.
ViewSonic has good products. This may have been the odd one that had a glitch.
