Just got this tablet, install the driver and plug it in. It works fine without any problem. Pressure sensitive setting works. Not dead zone as reported by other. The custom fields work as well. No problem with photoshop CS3 either.
The only thing that may not be 100 percent is the pen battery compartment. It is very hard to pull open to replace the battery when necessary. Other than that it is all good.
You can't beat the price.
If people are really having problem with this, try download the 3.0 driver (Which it comes with now) from the website. Was this review helpful?

The installation is not hard, but not easy as a USB mouse. The software come with the pad is OK for kids, Photoshop is definitely better for drawing more complex objects. However, the pen will automatically standby and becomes less sensitive after it wakes up when I use it in Photoshop (I don't know why). Overall it is working well. Was this review helpful?

I bought it to use with Photoshop. I gues you get what you pay for.
After I hooked it up is when I discover it doesn't support dual monitors.

I tried to use this with Google Sketchup and found it not good enough to accomplish anything. The pen mouse buttons do not function like mouse buttons and there is no way to adjust sensitivity, so it's hard to be accurate.
I think this would be great for a paint program for fun or for kids. It has enough features, it's just not practical for professional use. Was this review helpful?

Installation was easy on XP. Comes with a suite of programs (some are trial). I have mainly used it to annotate documents I have received from students in an online math course. For that purpose, it does exactly what I needed.
The included mouse is lacking, but I did not purchase the tablet for the mouse. Was this review helpful?

Been using this for about a month, and I use nothing else now!
The pressure levels are GREAT if you're a Photoshop frequenter, as I am.
Great for editing photographs down to a pin drop point; also very cool for creating new brushes and such.
It took me a while to realize to move the mouse using the pen, not to touch the surface; just gliding your hand over the tablet is key.
Another thing about this that's semi-frustrating is when using the pen, if you lift it up and move it, the cursor on the screen will jump back to where you started. I.e., when drawing long lines, if you hit the edge and move your pen, your cursor will move, too. It's an inconvenience, but if you're looking for something that will be suitable professional digital art, you might consider a Wacom.
I'm still crutching on the wireless mouse, but I LOVE that it's included; when someone else not used to the pen uses my PC, all it takes to switch to the mouse is one click while on the tablet.
It installed easily and quickly and works essentially perfectly for me.
This tablet is really great for the beginner/intermediate user, as well as for the casual digital artist, which I think covers 90% of the people looking at this for purchase, anyway.
Easy install, easy use, reliable. Combine this with the price and I highly recommend this one! :) Was this review helpful?

It's no Wacom tablet, but it performs just like it says it will. For the price, it's just what I was looking for. The construction is not as high-quality as a Wacom tablet, but it costs hundreds less. Works just fine for my laptop. Was this review helpful?

Anything billed as Genius is automatically suspect, and I should have known better. The price is very good if you can get the thing to work. The driver will not install in the programs file, only the manual and "Uninstall". The screen image is tiny. Trial versions of expensive crapware is included on the installation disk but nothing to bring up the tablet itself. The pen itself has the most remarkable battery-holder design I have ever seen and could hardly be more paltry. Attempts to communicate with genius on its website accounts for the headline.
