In "Freedom, Love, ""and Action, " Krishnamurti points to a state of total awareness beyond mental processes. With his characteristic engaging, candid approach, Krishnamurti discusses such topics as the importance of setting the mind free from its own conditioning; the possibility of finding enlightenment in everyday activities; the inseparability of freedom, love, and action; and why it is best to love without attachment.

Author Bio
J. Krishnamurti
Jiddu Krishnamurti was one of the most famous spiritual leaders of the 20th century. He was born in India in 1895, the son of a tax collector who later retired and worked for the Theosophical Society. In 1909, Jiddu Krishnamurti was "discovered" by Charles Leadbeater and soon adopted by Annie Besant, two leaders of that organization. Besant and Leadbeater declared that Jiddu was destined to become the next World Teacher, and they provided for his care and for his education in England. They also formed an organization called the Order of the Star in the East to promote him to the world. While under their aegis, Krishnamurti, as Alcyone, published a book in which he channelled the teaching of a master. However, in 1929, Krishnamurti delivered a speech in which he dissolved the Order of the Star in the East, broke away from the Theosophists, and made his famous declaration, "Truth is a pathless land." For the next half century, Krishnamurti traveled the globe, delivering talks, writing, and shaping what he called his "core teachings," which centered on freedom, self-knowledge, and "choiceless awareness." Krishnamurti met several world leaders, and his influence has been acknowledged by many, including George Bernard Shaw, Aldous Huxley, Henry Miller, and Deepak Chopra.
