If you need to erase old drives then this is the right tool. Super easy to use. With a rebate it is an incredible value. (still very good w/o) Depending on the size of the drive it will take an hour or two to erase but then you can recycle your drives without worrying about client or personal data falling into the wrong hands. DriveScrubber is an easy to use package. The capability to create a bootable CD is a plus extending the usefulness way beyond the 3-installation limit. No problems at all.
The Gateway laptop I bought in August was a disaster. It failed within two weeks and took Gateway SEVEN weeks to honor its warranty. And Buy.com was no help in getting Gateway to get off the pot!!

You should know that this product is only good for one year from date of installation. It requires a $19.95/yr. renewal of the license to continue use.
Also, you cannot delete selected files. You can wipe the entire disk or all unused space.

Software arrived quickly. I applied for rebate same day. Still waiting for rebate check. Everyone should understand this software is a hard drive killer. It is used only to wipe off or clean ALL data on computer you are planning to sell or trash and you do not want anyone to resurrect your personal data or files. I bought the software for future use only and therefore have not tested it. Seems like a great idea to have for when that day comes (and it will for all of us). Was this review helpful?
