5 of 5 Extremely handy cordless vacuum Saturday, November 22, 2008

I couldn't be happier with this vacuum. We have large rooms with hardwood floors that make it very difficult to use other electric handheld vacuums as I would have to constantly unplug and replug in order to reach what I had swept up. I found the crevice tool very effective in getting to those hard to reach spots. It has lots of suction power and holds a charge very well. My 10 year old son now loves to help with vacuuming! Hopefully the novelty will not wear off with him soon!!! Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Easy to use powerful handlheld vacuum Monday, June 30, 2008

Our last DIRTDEVIL 0914 had been in use for a couple of years and the batteries did not hold much of a charge so we decided to buy a new unit. We use this vacuum almost everyday for little cleanups around the house. It picks up hair in the bathroom very easily. Also good for bugs or dirt at the edge of the carpet where the full size vacuum cannot reach easily.
This vacuum is very handy so we use it very frequently.
The only weak point we found is that the crevice tool is very poorly designed and breaks off easily from the main part of the vacuum. We always had the crevice tool out so I used some two part epoxy and glued the tool in place before we started using the vacuum cleaner. This made the crevice tool very rigid and we have had not problems with breakage. (We learned this lesson from our first unit.)
Actually, we have two of these units in the house now. They are so handy for little cleanup jobs that we felt having two was worthwhile. Was this review helpful?
