5 of 5 Problems setting up but good product. Tuesday, January 06, 2009 Jeff from Minneapolis, MN
Had an 64Mb AGP card that came with the computer, and when I tried to install this new one, had to go in circles a few times to actually get it to start up with the correct card and not crash. Once I figured it out, I was very pleased. I now watch movies on my TV from my computer and can play games with much higher graphics settings! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 A reaosnable upgrade option for old machine. Sunday, December 23, 2007 A Customer from Middlebury, CT
The moment I installed this card on to my son's old Dell Dimension 2400. His most recent educational game flies.
Con. Do not installed the software ATI control centerl, which only make the system very slow. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Watching Streaming Videos on My TV Tuesday, October 30, 2007 A Customer from Sayreville, NJ
I am watching Internet streaming videos on my TV using S-video out.
I have Dell Dimension 1100 PC, this fit into one of the pci slots. Installation is quick. The only problem I had was the drivers cd was not working. I called up the customer care people, they immediately helped me with a link to access drivers. The driver installation halted half way , since it is expecting .NET Framwork.
I have downloaded it from the Microsoft site and installation went smooth, and Now I am watching all live channels from computer to my TV.
Drivers installation instructions should have been more clear with all the pre requisites. Lest good one to have. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product Tuesday, August 21, 2007 Paul from Silver Spring, MD
I just installed the video card. It was almost too easy to install. After restarting the PC you can tell when using Photoshop or going online a MAJOR increase with uploading pictures or web pages compared to the card orginally with my Dell. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great card! Sunday, July 01, 2007 redswede56 from Saint Joseph, MO.
Installed this card in my wife's older P4 Dell when her onboard couldn't hack even "Sims Pets".
The Dell is pci only and I thought my budget would be blown for a specialized card but low and behold for not so many bucks the 9250 pops into view! With 256 mb of ddr it's no barn burner but it's all it needs to be to provide her with much improved office apps, internet and best of all mild gaming experiences.
Overall it was easy to install and configure and it puts a clear smooth picture on a 19" crt with very good color and detail. Like I said,, Great card! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 I'm pleased Thursday, June 07, 2007 A Customer from Augusta, GA

5 of 5 Got a great price and even better performance Tuesday, June 05, 2007 A Customer from Menasha, WI
I ordered two of these bad boys to soup up two machines to run Call of Duty 2 and the game runs flawlessly now. I can even amp up the game settings to get better ridges and real looking smoke clouds, the whole nine yards. Great card!! Was this review helpful?

2 of 5 good card but not good under linux Saturday, May 26, 2007 Johnny from Princeton, NJ
I bought this card to get 3D acceleration and drive my 24" monitor (1920x1200) at native resolution. I'm sure it would work for people using Windows but I had nothing but problems with it using Ubuntu (Fiesty Fawn) and Fedora Core 6 on my IBM ThinkCentre at work. I don't attribute it to the card itself but linux's driver for it. I was able to do native resolution. Would work for a bit but would wind up crashing on me (even with disabling 3D acceleration). Again, not a slam against the card or buy.com. Just be wary of using it for linux. :-( Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Video card solved WOW graphics problems Friday, May 25, 2007 A Customer from Skillman, NJ
I bought this because my integrated video card kept crashing when my son played WOW (World Of Warcraft). The install was easy and it solved all the problems. I have not messed around with over-clocking it. Was this review helpful?

And it works great with world of warcraft and star craft with no problems and it also was very easy to install in my HP Pavilion A705W. not a problem for me. IF I CAN DO IT YOU CAN TO ONLY MY FIRST TIME INSTALLING A VIDEO CARD Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Buyer Beware! Sunday, April 22, 2007 A Customer from New York, NY
This card initially installed like a dream, graphics look fantastic. However, its performance was really horrible. It has caused constant stuttering/jerky performance and visible screen redraws on my system. The drivers also have some kind of compatibility issue with the .NET framework. I've gone through days of trying to get this to work as well as my old 32 MB card. This includes everything from trying a different bus slot, tinkering with PCI latency timings to completely uninstalling and reinstalling components. No luck. Uninstalling .NET alleviated some of the performance problem, but not enough for me to keep this card. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Another happy customer. Thursday, April 12, 2007 Jim Kim from Westchester, NY
I love this video card. I read some less than 5-star rating reviews. However, I had no problem installing it on my XP. Currently, I am using only the RGB port; however, I am confident that it will work flawlessly on the DVI port with my LCD screen. I use this Video card for primary and connected my secondary monitor to the on-board RGB port for a secondary. Simple setup and easy configuration and great picture quality. Highly recommended for the $$$. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Worth every penny for PCI users! Sunday, April 08, 2007 Jim Fazakas from Walnutport, PA
If you only have a PCI slot for a video card, like I did, then this card is your best deal. I don't think I could have found a card with this amount of memory any cheaper. Not only is it a great value, but it's also made by a very well-known manufacturer of video cards. It was simple to install. I am very pleased with this product and strongly recommend it to any PCI-only user. What's even better about buying this card, was the company I bought it from. Buy.com is my favorite online store. Delivery was extremely prompt and the website is very easy to use. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good product Monday, April 02, 2007 A Customer from Virginia beach, Virginia

3 of 5 Doesn't work with Directx 9 Saturday, March 31, 2007 A Customer from Novi,MI
I could install this card without any problem. I am dissapointed when I could not run testdrive unlimited. It requires Directx 9.0 supported videocard. Windows vista also requires Directx 9.0 supported videocard for good graphics. The price is good. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Not for Vista Tuesday, March 27, 2007 Praveen from Dallas, TX
I have Vista Ultimate with no graphic card (Well, i have the one that comes with the motherboard). Since my computer is old it does not have a PCI-E card slot. So i looked around and from a review where someone mentioned that this card works fine with Vista. Well, it did not. I had to return the card. I the purchased the DIAMOND AGP X1600AGP512SB. I will try it this weekend and drop few lines about it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Solid card at a fabulous price Tuesday, March 27, 2007 Chet from St. Petersburg, FL
I bought this card to upgrade my sons low-end computer with onboard video. By adding this video card, he can now download current drivers and all his games operate great. By just adding memory and this inexpensive card, his computer has a new lease on life. ATI is a solid name and the card is supported by most game manufacturers as well as ATI, so new drivers are available. Great deal! Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Excellent PCI Video Saturday, March 10, 2007 Mike from RTP, NC
Exactly what I wanted. The 256 MB of video RAM and the onboard processor significantly improved the performance of my Dell 2400 (P4 2.5 GHz, 1.2 G RAM, XP, 7200 RPM IDE). I use my PC mostly for web browsing and e-mail however, I do take many digital pictures (1200 on a recent trip). Loading pictures into my various editing software applications used to be painfully slow at 2400 x 1900 resolutions or higher. Now, I can load 12 to 15 pictures in just a few seconds and edit them with background refresh turned on.
I also decided to try the dual output by connecting the 27-inch HDTV in my office. This added a completely new dimension to my pictures. This card is awesome.

1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 4 of 5 Diamond stealth 9250 PCI Video Card Friday, March 02, 2007 A Customer from San Antonio, Texas
The card performs well and has good video quality. a good value.
The problem is that it does not work well with VISTA. I bought the card because it supports DirectX 9.0c, which is required for Vista. After installation, I found that many of the features that make Vista so great do not work, example Movie Maker will not even start. Diamond Stealth does not provide a driver to support Vista. I had to use a generic driver. Bottom line: Great Card for Windows XP, Mediocre card for Vista. the diagnostic program in Vista gives this card a rating of 1 out of 5. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Does not work with Vist Aero Wednesday, February 28, 2007 Dan from Dallas,tx
The price is right, but I bought this card to work with Vista. This card does not have drivers with are Vista compatible. It works, but does not support aero. I bought the 9550 and it works excellent. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great Value and a good smooth upgrade Saturday, February 24, 2007 rahpat18 from Nassaupark, NJ
Was looking to upgrade my 32mb system chip for a while now.. waited for Vista and then started to look foun this one on Buy.. final cost to me was $6.99.. Plus Vista approved with 256mb onboard chip... Installation was a breeze. Pice of advice read all the insrtuctions before you install. had to do it over once as i thought it would a simple plug and play. You need to know how to get into the bios and disable the onboard video chip for this to work. Over all a great product and a ATI graphics chip has always stayed ahead of the rest... 3 of 5 Is NOT fully Vista Compatible Friday, February 16, 2007 Dan from Dallas,tx
Great card. Runs fast and easy install. It does NOT support AERO with Vista. Look into the 9550 for better compatibility. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great product for price Thursday, February 15, 2007 A Customer from Dallas, TX
For $60 or less with rebate, it is a great card for non-serious gamers. If you are serious gamer, buy a higher end card, but if you need DVD, internet video, etc., this is a great card. The extra memory has increased my PC performance as well. Easy install, but doesn't come with DVI cable though.
Highly recommend for the price. Was this review helpful?

Bought this Diamond Multimedia 256Mb PCI card for the sole purpose of making my computer VISTA ready. Since it is an older system, but still working to a "T", I was hoping there was a card out there that still worked and was PCI (NOT PCI-E).
Installation was a snap. Windows XP Home saw it immediately and the drivers were ok. Went to the website and got the most recent drivers and the Control Center software, and Voila!, no problems that I've seen. Also, it passes Microsoft's Vista testing. So, I'm happy! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Supports 1680 x 1050 Resolution Saturday, January 20, 2007 Eric from Colleyville, TX
When I hooked up my ViewSonic 20" VX2025WM widescreen monitor to my onboard video I noticed that it didn't support its suggested resolution of 1680 x 1050. I did some research and read that this card should support it, so I ordered it. It works great, and at a good price, too. If you only have PCI slots and want 1680 x 1050 support, this Diamond Stealth ATi Radeon 9250 video card will do the trick. Plus, this card has a DVI connection (the regular ATi Radeon 9250 only has a VGA connection). It's also easy to install; just plug it in, install the drivers, and it's ready to go! I wanted a video card to run some flight simulators . The latest Microsoft X would not run on my present system. I began to look for a card that would do the best job and I believe I found it in the Diamond Stealth 9250. Straight forward install. The graphics are very good and the data is smooth without flicker. I would recommend the product. Was this review helpful?

I am still using an old Dell desktop, Dimension 2400, which serves my needs well. This desktop doesn't have any AGP or PCI-e slots. Therefore, having this card is the best solution for me to replace the on-board video. This card is cheap with $20 Google discount, Rebate, and free UPS shipping. I hope the rebate will come. I'm using this new video card now with great results. Thanks Buy.com Was this review helpful?
3 of 3 customers found this review helpful. 4 of 5 Different Version than Pictured, But Still Good Ca Wednesday, November 08, 2006 A Customer from Springfield, VA
The card I received wasn't the "Stealth" version, as it has a cooling fan and red colored board. Installation was fairly painless, but instructions did not mention that a BIOS setting for the Video Adapter had to be changed from "Onboard" to "Auto" in addition to disabling the onboard video in Device Manager. ATI Catalyst software seems to be resource hungry, but graphics are much better than before, especially noticeable using Google Earth. The fan noise is distracting at first, but better cooling should be worth the additional sound. Overall seems to be well worth the money if PCI slots are all you've got.

Easy to use, easy to install and works great for a PCI card. It came with in a week of purchase and a great overall buy. A definant reccomend for anyone looking for a cheap PCI card. In terms of performance for value, this is a great video card. It was simple to install and I was up and running in about 10 minutes. I use dual monitor and played WC3 Frozen Throne on a 32" 1300x700 resolution screen and it performed very well. The image quality was crisp and looks very nice. I'm very satisfied with this purchase. I've only had it for a day so hopefully there wont be any issues. Good deal! Was this review helpful?

Got Product after they received and cleared my money order, it was very easy to install after it told me how to disable the built in video graphics. I like to play online games and this has made my gaming experience alot better compared to the built in graphics on the computer...bah! I highley recommend for anyone who is searching for a PCI video card upgrade. Perhaps there are better ones for AGP or PCIE but I think this is the best so far for those of us who are stuck with the PCI. Was this review helpful?
