I purchased these gigabit NIC's for some workstations in our organization after we purchased new gigabit switches. What a difference! These cards are easy to configure and work great, even with existing Cat5e wiring. If your applications are Client / Server these can make a huge difference in the speed of your applications. This is a great nic. I bought 3 of these along with the D-link 5 port gigabit switch. Tied it all together with Cat 5E cabling/jacks/patch cords and the performance is awesome!! The cards were easily detected by winXp and winME and installed with a glitch. I highly recommend this as a great combo.
