5 of 5 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - Finally able to connect to my Saturday, April 18, 2009
Matt from Greensboro, NC

I had a PC upstairs at the far end of my house that could not connect to my network. My house has very tall ceilings and uses steel beams between the floors for support. I have tried several products including NetGear and Linksys cards and wireless routers to no avail. I bought this network card and a D-Link Xtreme wireless router and now, my computer is finally on my network. The signal meter shows only a couple of bars, but the speed is great and it works perfectly. I WOULD MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. I rarely write reviews for my purchases and like most consumers, the ones I do write are probably mostly for products that I buy that don't work well. I felt the need to write up a good review for this product in these economic times because I want D-Link to continue making this product. If you need to connect long distances and/or through walls and floors with a lot of interference, you definitely have to try this.

5 of 5 Works like a charm! Thursday, December 11, 2008
Z from San Jose, CA
Excellent performance. I didn't even need to use the external antenna I purchased (although I do plan to move this computer a bit away from the D-Link wireless router I have, so may need it then). It is working perfectly fine with a D-Link DIR-655 that I have! Installation was easy, it auto connects when the PC is rebooted, etc. Transparent operation under Windows Vista.

5 of 5 Easy to install, works great, good software Friday, December 05, 2008
Idahed from Boise, ID
This was an add-on to a recently purchased DIR-655 Xtreme N router and DWA-652 Cardbus N card, which I installed in my laptop. I liked the performance so well, I bought the DWA-552 for my desktop. I use them for a home office and personal use. I wouldn't have believed it, but the wireless performance is better than my ethernet hardwire! I had to bridge my Netopia 3347 router/modem to connect the DIR-655. D-Link support was excellent! The D-Link Quick Install guides are great and get to the point, providing step by step instructions to get things running. The only hassle was when the software asks for the SSID. I don't broadcast my SSID, so the software didn't pick it up. But I disabled Windows control, used the D-Link Wireless Manager and it works great! Good products, great help, both written and phone support! Great value! I'm very happy with D-link!

5 of 5 Works fine for me Friday, June 13, 2008
A Customer from Miami FL
Easy install on Windows Vista 32 bit. Let Vista install the drivers and you use the Vista wireless manager. I added the external antenna (ANT24-0230) to this card and am getting 4 bars out of 6 bars signal. Without the external antenna I was getting 2 bars. My router is not far away but the computer is under a desk so the antenna seems to make a difference. It plays nice with my DIR-655 router. No problems at all so far. I replaced a Linksys wireless G card (also with an external antenna) because that card kept dropping connections all the time. Hopefully this card will keep the conncection for me.

1 of 5 WiFi Wasteland Wednesday, November 28, 2007
John Sir4man from Cardiff by the Sea, CA
Consumer WiFi stuff is not capable of providing a reliable network. I purchased an entire D-link "n" system, including booster antennas. This stuff just doesn't work all that well. Maybe its my particular home. I sold it all on eBay and wired the house. Now it works ALL the time.
