I installed two of these into my Sony Vaio laptop to help give Windows Vista a much-needed boost. Installation took just a few minutes, just pop out the old and pop in the new. I booted up and the computer immediately recognized the new RAM. I'm in much better shape now. Crucial is a quality brand so buy with confidence. Was this review helpful?

No problems at all. The RAM installed quickly and easily, and works perfectly. I choose free shipping and they arrived the next day. That was a pleasant surprise. At roughly $54 before the rebate. They will be $34 after the rebate. I have already been notified that Crucial has received the rebate forms. The rebate has not yet been processed, but I think I am going to receive it faster than initially expected. I sold my 2 old sticks of 512MB RAM on ebay for $10, so the total cost of the upgrade from 1GB of RAM to 2GB will only cost $24. That seems very good for the performance boost I am seeing. There is a limit of 2 rebates from Crucial on this item, at this time. I originally found this item from another retailer, but the limit was one rebate per household. I called Crucial and they informed me that I could get two rebates when purchasing through buy.com, and I am glad that I did. I am very pleased with the memory and the service. Highly recommended. I installed the 2 x 1Gig Crucial memory chips on my Sony laptop and it has been working great for past few weeks now. No memory hangups, etc noticed and my programs run faster now.
